  1. When was the actual date that Club biscuits stopped having thick chocolate and just became ordinary?
  2. Since I've had to cut down drastically on sugar in the last couple of years I find that anything sweet is too sickly for me. Fruit sugar I adore but I have to be strictly rationed, so no, I don't actually like shortbread now. Dark chocolate is ok though
  3. I'm too old and grey for all that. You and I have different opinions and see things from a different viewpoint. It's a good thing we're all different.
  4. I don't think that's the case. I would think that most unconnected people would conclude that there was more to it than what has been suggested and that Clattenburg will have a little question mark hanging over him from now on. In fact, they probably won't give a toss.
  5. The situation was a lot more complicated that whether or not he saw a gun. Even a witness on a ninth floor flat way across the road saw him holding something which he was convinced was a mobile phone whereas the copper thought he saw a hand holding a sock with a gun inside. It's not surprising that in a very tense situation like this the statements are vary somewhat. It's when the police statements are all the same that you should get suspicious.
  6. I would say that the officer had strong reason to believe that Duggan was carrying a gun, or at least had access to one. It's clear from the officer's evidence that he was convinced that Duggan had a gun in his hand.
  7. Has he signed yet?
  8. I think that's a fair summary. There was an interesting point today in The Mail (I know) that in the last four years the police have shot and killed one person and gangsters have shot and killed 50.
  9. He was very poor against Aston Villa.
  10. But he had at least one gun? Even if he threw it away as he got out of the car, he may have had another one.

  12. Good, panic over but these things are a worry. It does sound like you email server people, have you tried a look at the support pages on their website for a log of their problems?
  13. Might it may be a problem with your mail server?
  14. My daughter and her husband started by renting a house (North Bristol). It was constantly damp and needed work done on it but the worst thing was that at that time the prices of the houses that they were looking at buying were rising more in a month than they were paying in rent.
  15. True, but if house values rise then your equity in the property will increase but the loan stays the same (or reduces gradually, at first).
  16. Mmm... Do I detect the first signs of dependency here?
  17. Yup, he's crap. We need better.
  18. Maybe it was in one piece when she put it in the Jiffy bag? I've received lots of broken stuff like that
  19. Has he just been told that he's doing us on Saturday?
  20. I started reading that and didn't look at the date until I saw the 'struggling Southampton' bit.
  21. I was born near there in the North Middlesex Hospital. All my family were from Edmonton, Enfield, Ponders End. My wife is from Barnett. When I finished university I was determined not to live in London, thank you very much.
  22. "Common Purpose" (or Joint Criminal Enterprise) apparently: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_purpose
