I feel the same but the problem with that is that relegation means losing a lot of games. -

Sadly that’s the price that had to be paid in order to get the stadium built. Ironic really. Get a big stadium but a large part of it is reserved for those who helped to pay for it. -
My grandson came in on the train from the east. He said that you could see the pre-match action outside the stadium from the other side of the river.
-
And did you get on the pitch?

My iPad autorotates and no, I really can’t be arsed. It’s the forum software that overrides the image. It’s another example of the failure of AI.

The photgraph itself is fine. It's only when it gets on this forum that it goes bottom up

I'm not actually a fan of him. I just like to add a sense of realism.

Precautionary, I would have thought. On the bench in case we were desperate.

What is wrong with these retards?

I've always liked Smallbone.😚

Extra advertising boards as one as possible to the pitch with the intention of restricting long throws.

So small that I can't see any

I have ordered black clothing,

It’s whichever is closer to the opponent’s goal than any equivalent part of the second to last defender’s body. My advice to any forward is to keep your toenails clipped and have a Brazilian regularly.

I’m also a bit nervous and yet, I’m really not bothered about promotion.

Just give it a week or two…

No, it doesn’t work like that. 50fps is just on the edge of flicker recognition for most people. That’s why films that were shot at 24fps are projected onto a screen using a Maltese Cross that shows the same frame twice. The North American TV system uses (or used to) 30fps with each frame displayed as two successive fields at 60 fields per second. Many Americans complain that European TVs have a lot of flicker. But all this is bye the bye. The Offside Law was never intended to be implemented to the accuracy of a toenail. It was to stop goal hanging.

Russell? Is that you?

That’s what offsides need. A decision almost before the ball hits the net. It should be as instant as a flag would be.
-
No we’re getting to the nub of it. Americanisation of “The Beautiful Game”. And our referees are not crap, or useless, or incompetent, they just see things differently.

“If Baz had managed to keep the ball out of the net at Portman Road“ Were the words you used. ”But even a better keeper wouldn’t have kept those goals out” Was my reply, note”no keeper could have saved those. Their second goal is exactly the sort that you will see on any weekend. There was a very similar one that went past Pickford. Fast, low down by the keeper’s side, is exactly what strikers are told to do. The third was a toe-poke but hardly speculative and into the side netting from very close range. Nobody is stopping that one. We clearly have different opinions base on our different experiences. Criticising Bazunu for a game in which he didn’t feature though is weird, just weird.
