  1. It’s on TNT Sports. I have it in my Virgin Media package but not for long. When I found out that it was costing me £18 a month I decided to drop it. I’m not paying all that just to watch the same old top six moneyball clubs every week.
  2. It’s a rule of business. You charge what the market will bear. Finding that price level is not easy. The variation in demand due to price changes is called Market Price Sensitivity.
  3. Early kickoff, Boat Show and rail replacement buses if coming from the east. Not going to be fun.
  4. But are there not more than one branch of Tesco?
  5. Yes, my words. What’s your problem with that?
  6. That would be a start.
  7. Are you seriously calling me ignorant? A scapegoat is someone or something that is innocent yet gets all the blame. Stephens does not fit this description. Without a stable and solid defence we will struggle to create enough chances to have even a chance of surviving in this league. His presence does not give us a solid back line especially when combined with this ridiculous obsession with fannying around at the back. I don’t think anyone knows the reason that Martin plays the way that we do. It defies all footballing logic. Yet Martin persists in selecting Stephens and must bear the responsibility for that. We have a weak midfield because we effectively don’t play with one. When a key player there is Smallbone then we’re in deeper trouble. He’s another who’s not good enough for this level. I don’t hate these players but I hate what they’re doing to our team. It’s not their fault that they’re not good enough.
  8. I never got excited over the unbeaten run. Probably because it was nothing special in the wider football world. Do you think any other supporter gives a toss? As for enjoyment of the football I can only conclude that you have been starved of real all-out attacking, pulsating football for most of your life.
  9. It’s not a narrative and I’m not even sure if you know what that means. He doesn’t have the discipline and concentration needed for this level. I have reached this conclusion after having suffered watching him for several seasons now. My opinion is based on what I see and not what I feel. If he plays tomorrow then we are in trouble.
  10. Not cheaper than Leicester, Brentford, West Ham and Man City though. For season tickets that is.
  11. He’s at fault for the misshapen defence and the distorted midfield and our persistent loss of shape. He’s undisciplined. If you want evidence of that just watch the way that he runs forward and gets in Bednarek’s way at Brentford. You very rarely see a mix up like that at top level football. He plays his colleagues into trouble. He’s a liability.
  12. Most consistently poor. Stephens is the root of our problems.
  13. Yes. No ill will towards him and he was worth a punt at the time but leaving to manage Scotland was probably the best for everyone. Good luck with your treatment George.
  14. You haven’t mentioned the hospital pass back to THB.
  15. Then why select him?
  16. Now hold on there cowboy. It never used to be considered as a state benefit. We paid for our pensions and the amount we now receive depends on extra payments that may have been made years ago. And don’t believe the figures you see quoted about the amount of the current state pension. That only applies to new pensioners. Nothing to do with Trump of course but it’s always interesting to compare the UK welfare system with other countries.
  17. I’m 75 and Brexit has been shit for me. You say that many pensioners don’t need it but however you spin it it’s a cut in their pension of over 2%. Bearing in mind that it is not taxed it actually represents a higher cut than that. It’s equivalent to a reduction of £250 a year. Robbing pensioners to give to train drivers. They don’t need it and we can actually do without them in many instances.
  18. The pitch is the same size for everybody.
  19. Taylor Swift. Every place I look. She can’t be avoided whatever you do. I get The Times every day, mainly for the puzzles, and she seems to be in every sodding edition. It seems to be her official publicity outlet.
  20. Hasn’t he just had a long trip to play for Japan?
  21. It’s not a narrative. Stephens is not good enough for this level. THB has had a poor couple of games by his standard but he’s not been helped by Stephens playing him into trouble. Stephens will never improve. THB will.

  23. What was never clear was why the leading edge droop was retracted. I believe they subsequently fitted a speed interlock to stop it happening again.
  24. But what if it’s not just broken but really, really f****d?
  25. I was working in Havant for Plessey at the time and someone from the Flight Data lab next door brought in the plots from the flight recorder. They weren’t very long and were about a three foot spread across the desktop. He pointed out where the leading edge droop was retracted and the aircraft stalled. The autopilot pushed the nose down and the aircraft started to recover but the nose was then pulled up manually and the aircraft stalled again. The autopilot pushed the nose down and again the aircraft started to recover speed. Then whoever was in control disconnected the autopilot and the aircraft stalled into a field. It made a big impression on me.
