It's a very good question but I don't think we shall know the answer until well into the season by which time it could be too late. It's a very big jump for all concerned and I don't think there's much Premier League experience left at the club. Mind you, I thought we'd be doing well to consolidate in the Championship.

They swing in opposite directions, and a Griffon sounds gruffer.

No problem for me if I've copied it right.

There was an evening game at Chelsea that was called off at the last minute. I'd picked my daughter up from Reading, parked the car, bought the programme, we were just getting to our seats when the steward said "you can go in if you like but the game's been called off". I knew it would be, it had been lashing it down and thundering and lightning all the way, just like the match in Donetsk.

Quite right. Prawn sandwiches are much better. -
I'm all for it. The more I travel in Europe the more I like what I see. Too many little englanders over here.

Didn't actually say much, did he?

They borrowed £30,000 from the PFA to pay the players' wages.

He was being nagged by Lowe to play the kids and this was to prove a point.

The money all goes back into the big pot, doesn't it? I still can't find out about who takes over the contract payments, the FA of the PFA. When Middlesbrough were liquidated the PFA merely lent the money for paying the players.

The Euro works well for me. I can sell to different countries and I can get the same money out from cash machines all over europe. I can also buy in most countries and not pay conversion fees on my french bank card.

To be fair, Strachan did that too.

What, even in the urinals? -
Trousers! Where do you keep them all? I look at her in a completely new light now. If only she could keep her mouth shut...

So now we're spending it before we get it! I'ma all for giving season-ticket holders free tickets for as long as we're in this division. Only in Kingland. Row O. Block 32. Or is it 31?

Middlesbrough were liquidated in 1986 but were able to raise the £350,000 to register for the next season with 10 minutes to spare. Why didn't they have to start again at the bottom?
-
What do you expect if you're only going to spend £81m? You do get a closing ceremony as well for that. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16030785

How did they decide to hold one? Show of hands? -
Keelhaul him. In a submarine. Whilst it's submerged.

Wouldn't he go to his spiritual home?

The daughter of one of my suppliers got married a couple of weeks ago. Whilst they were at the reception her father's house was broken in to and about 8 grand of stuff was taken. He had to leave the reception for nearly 3 hours and go through everything with the police. He ate his meal alone later in the hotel restaurant.

We took a cruise thee from Southampton last September. Mrs WG had always wanted to sail in and see Manhattan come up over the horizon. We sailed under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge at about 4:30 in the morning and tied up a couple of piers north of the Intrepid aircraft carrier museum and looking up to Times Square, a fantastic experience. We were in port overnight so I took her ladyship to 230 Fifth Avenue and we had a great evening meal on top of a little skyscraper about 23 floors up and looking at the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and the New York skyline. We'd like to go back and spend longer. I have a good customer there so perhaps I should go soon. http://www.230-fifth.com/ http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/
