Well spotted! I've not been well over the last few days and struggling down to the game on Saturday didn't help me to feel any better. (I really must change this keyboard. Sometimes it turns out the most amazing drivel)

My criticism of Kelvin is that he took so long over releasing the ball that it took all the pace out of the game. Sometimes it seems to me that he is playing for time.
-
Tricky question that, but I would have said the Man Utd game.
-
Very, very annoying.

Do you ever feel sorry for the opposition..?
Whitey Grandad replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Yes, me too. I wasn't thinking about the opposition until our second goal went in and then I realized what it meant for them and I never wanted Saints to ever be in that position. -
It's people like Fred Goodwin that annoy me. He was responsible for the collapse of RBS and should have been dismissed for gross misconduct, not paid off with what any of us would call a fortune.

Any level is a higher level than Hull, in my opinion.

I'd rather we were top at the end of the season, to be honest. I'm sure there will be twists and turns before then, but we've been heading in the right direction for some time and are steadily climbing the table. All we have to do is look after our own results and the rest will follow.

Thank you sir, you are a true gentleman.

Really? They have hundreds of men in green suits and mopeds to scoop it all up. There were some poo wars a few years ago between companies fighting over the contract.
-
Very true, but it would only have been one more game. Would you count a playoff final as some sort of success, or just promotion?
-
Indeed, but Liebherr and Mali are different companies.

Don't forget that Metro tickets can also be used on the buses and you'll see more as you get around. I have an app on my phone which can be useful http://www.metroparisiphone.com/index_en.html It gives you routing information as well as maps but you will want to turn off data roaming.

Actually, it's called MALI? I would like to see his name immortalised in some fashion, but I feel that should be for his family to decide.

Only half way through the season and we're getting better and better!

I go there very often for my business. It all depends what floats your boat. In July they'll all be looking forward to their August break when it almost shuts down. Meals out, bateaux mouches dinner on the Seine, top floor of the Museé d'Orsay for all the impressionists. Montmartre and Place du Tertre, Louvre if you must. Pompidou centre (not my style). What type of hotel do you like? Central and noisy or up a back street and quiet? How are you going? It's a long time since I used them but Bridge Travel in Broxbourne might still be going. There are several operators who will do a deal for flights & hotel, many from Southampton. Don't forget that Flybe now operate to Orly instead of Roissy. I usually drive when I go, overnight from Portsmouth to Ouistreham or Le Havre then about 150 or 120 miles by motorway. Do the business then lunch in Paris and afternoon boat or up to Trouville for lunch in Les Vapeurs. Let us know when you have more specific details and I will try to get some recommendations for you. It's one of my favourite cities, you'll have a great time. I'm hoping to take my 91-year old mother in April.

So far, so good.

Other way round. If Man U doesn't sell out, then it's unlikely that the Carlisle game will, or.... .... if the Man U game sells out then the Carlisle game will also be a sell-out, innit?

Always nice to see a clean sheet. -
Indeed. That's the rashness of youth.

Saints vs Manchester Utd - 4th Round FA Cup Draw
Whitey Grandad replied to saint_bert's topic in The Saints
More for the transfer kitty: '... and both clubs will receive The FA live broadcast fee of £144,000. ' -
Lucky guess or inspired deduction? I'll leave you to decide. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2263967,00.html

To be fair, it was only a penalty shootout away from succeeding.

What, 'Crystal Palace Football Club 2010'? (If that's what it stands for).

Live Saturday games are timed so that they don't clash with the normal 3 o'clock league programme, so it's normally 12:30 or 5:15. If there is a police concern about drinking before the game then they may move the early one to 11:30. My money's on the evening kick-off on the Saturday.
