  1. Basically they are saying they heard it on Solent too but can not verify it because the big bad people at the football club won't talk to them.
  2. Maybe but it's possible for the "interviewer" to slant questions to Mr. Suchet to get the answers they are looking for and twist it to sound like direct quotes. (Not saying that's what happened because I wasn't there, but possible).
  3. I agree with you but interestingly this is taken from the Brentford OS match preview: "Southampton was for many years a club hailed as one for all lower league clubs to follow - one that could punch above its weight and be competitive at the top level." "But The Saints have been a club in decline for a number of years and still have much to do if they are not to face the prospect of a third relegation in five years."
  4. I suspect (IMO) blocks 48 and 1 will be left empty for segregation. They'll have half of block 42 to 47. We'll have blocks 2 to half of 41.
  5. It'll be 12.30 ish on either the Saturday or Sunday.
  6. It's on ITV Player. St Landrew put up the link earlier in the thread.
  7. Saw that! Arjen Robben he is not!!! Still Wotte's got a new job. Maybe he'll sign him again?
  8. Result!! I thought that the sending off was harsh but could see the referee (to the letter of the law) was correct! When I saw we appealed I honestly thought he might get an extra match added, didn't see the decision being rescinded coming, at all.
  9. I like this, but would change to: Ohhhh Avram Grant likes Thai girls He likes some Asian fun And when he wants a blow job He heads to Unit One And when he gets his money he heads to Horton Heath A quick massage, a quick rub down and gentle hand relief! Ohhhhhh!!
  10. I would take the play-offs................................Then doing the double over them in the Championship next season.
  11. Nor do I. It's not as though they have many local players in the squad. Most like the majority of Premier League players are footballing mercenaries and if they don't receive what their contract says they should, they will be off (and probably sue the ass of the club for breach of contract, no doubt).
  12. If by some chance they manage to sell their allocation, a rendition of "You've only come to see Southampton!" is in order.
  13. Was about to write something similar, you Sir saved me the bother! Well said!! Plus, I might add, he ripped Liverpool apart at Anfield that season. Don't think anyone in our current squad would be capable of that.
  14. That would be even funnier, we draw them in R5 and get a walkover because they were unable to fulfil the fixture!
  15. It'll be 17 or 27 unless Gillett completes a permanent move by COB today.
  16. Potentially a good player at this level and maybe in a few years, the Championship. Like may of our young players however, never going to be good enough for the very top and hopefully, that's where we're heading. He needs to be playing regularly and staying here (for the odd cameo appearance off the bench) will stall his development. Good luck Pato, hope it goes well for you!
  17. Apart from the Geek with the fish tank in his bedroom! :smt024 :smt042

  19. I think if Barnard is signed (in time) Lambert will be rested. Apart from that I'd go with that team. Antonio, literally ran himself into the ground on Wednesday and Lallana could also do with the rest, in preparation for the Brentford game.
  20. I don't get that their fans are blaming 'lack of publicity' for the cr@p home attendance. What do they need? A full page advert in all of the nationals? Did it take people by surprise that after getting through the previous round, they had at least another tie to play in the competition?
  21. It will give AP the opportunity to mix and match and rest RL every so often. Lambert will still be first choice CF but he will sometimes play in partnership with Barnard, sometimes with Connolly, sometimes with Waigo and sometimes up front on his own. Likewise, if AP feels he needs to rest RL or if he gets injured or suspended (with 2 matches per week for pretty much the remainder of the season), Barnard can play upfront with Connolly or Waigo or as a lone striker.
  22. Old news! Leeds £175k bid was turned down on Wednesday and if the reports are to be believed, irrelevant because the player does not want to move north.
  23. Or 5ft?
  24. Sh!t highlights. From those you'd have thought we were hanging on by the skin of our teeth and MK deserved at least a draw from the game.
  25. Sometimes it seems he can be both in a 20 minute spell of the same game. Reminds me so much of a young Chicken George.
