  1. Well at least now we know Utd won't be live on TV in the next round.
  2. Some top quality penalties so far.
  3. Apparently because there was another touch before it was put in the net. I'm still in favour of using VAR but that's farcical. Such an obvious handball. What's the point of even having VAR if it's not going to pick that up.
  4. How did VAR not disallow that Boro goal?
  5. I note they are really struggling to find any senior MPs to come on the air and continue to defend the indefensible. They'll be wheeling out Comical Ali next
  6. Exactly. They've all scarpered before before the despicable prick can throw them under the bus to save his own sorry arse.
  7. It should henceforth be called the Minsk memorial points comparison thread.
  8. Corruption in African football you say? I'm shocked 😐 In all seriousness, good on him for sticking to his principles and refusing a call-up. It's good to know there are still people in football with morals.
  9. Exactly. If you're going to have a "no lying" rule then you can't also have a rule preventing people from calling out lies. It's ridiculous.
  10. So let me just get this straight... On Monday Ian Blackford states an established truth that Johnson misled the house, refuses to back down and gets ejected. Today at PMQs, Johnson refuses to withdraw/apologise for his earlier slur against Starmer which has been established as untrue - no consequences whatsoever. What a joke.
  11. It's not on terrestrial TV (cos nobody gives a shit about a cup tie between a mid-table PL team and a mid-table Champ team). Unsure if there will be any streams either, cos the game would have to be televised somewhere in the world for there to be any, so I doubt it.
  12. I can only echo this Minsk, and extend my sincerest sympathies and thanks for your contribution to this community over the years.
  13. Really???
  14. I think we've got enough depth in that position to see us through the season without him. He showed a bit of early promise but if he hasn't managed to make the adjustment to the PL after 2.5 seasons then he never will IMO. Wouldn't be at all bothered if we let him go.
  15. Donny VDB to Everton looks like it is all but confirmed.
  16. Sorry this is just bollocks. Either someone is predisposed to being an amoral violent rapist or they're not. Money doesn't come into it. The overwhelming majority of young footballers don't rape their girlfriends because they're not evil c*nts.
  17. Lampard has been offered the Everton job according to the Liverpool Echo.
  18. Indeed. And rightly so. As much as we all loved him in the 90s, there is no way he would make it as a PL player in the modern era. The game has moved on too much since those days and the idea that a team like us could accommodate a luxury player like that is ridiculous. Our whole strategy only works if all 10 outfield players put in the required effort to defend as a team. Regardless of what talent he might have, I don't see a player like Alli fitting into that, do you? Personally, I think it's too risky and whatever benefits he might bring would be offset by potential negative influence on the dressing room as a whole.
  19. Yeah saw that. Not like the Star to over sensationalise things is it. It's a stud mark FFS. The kind of thing that I would describe as a "sickening gash" is not repeatable on here.
  20. Would he? Our entire ethos is about the whole team working hard for each other and sharing defensive responsibilities. I know it's a cheesy old saying but hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. A luxury player like Alli would only disrupt the balance IMO, and would make us worse not better.
  21. Indeed. Can't imagine Chelsea saying to us "you can have the player on loan for the season but under no circumstances are you to ever even mention the possibility of offering him a permanent deal, otherwise we'll be cross" Anyway, "tapping up" surely only relates to bigger clubs trying to poach players from smaller ones that badly want to keep them.
  22. It's 2022, and Tory supporters are still using the tactic of deflecting criticism of the bloviating sack of shit Johnson with allegations of antisemitism against Jeremy Corbyn. Why am I not surprised.
  23. With Fenerbahce. Their total dominance of the Turkish league is akin to Celtic's in Scotland after Rangers imploded. He sounds like a bit of an egomaniac prone to falling out with star players a la Mourinho. But I guess as they don't really have any star players that won't matter. Everton fans not known for intelligence when it comes to graffiti. I remember going to our game there in 04/05 after Rooney had left for Utd, and on a wall near the ground I saw "DIY RONEY SCUM" 😂
