  1. No, I mean they would recognise what a terrible idea it is and choose not to do it at all.
  2. That's not a paradox though is it.
  3. You mean like the one with Japan? The one that the terminally dim Liz Truss has negotiated that will leave us worse off than if we had just rolled over the provisions in the EU-Japan deal? Sorry, you're going to have to explain to me how that qualifies as a 'clear benefit' of leaving the EU.
  4. This puts me in mind of something I saw posted somewhere recently - the Brexit Paradox: Any government with the required degree of competence and intellect to actually enact Brexit properly, wouldn't.
  5. Gutted. Really took the game to them but the gulf in quality was evident. Losing Ings is a massive blow. When Adams went off and we had Tella and Nlundulu up front we just lost any cutting edge in attack. Not the kind of game to be blooding these player in. City will be very relieved they held on for the win. Not often you see them parking the bus and time wasting. We should take heart from that. Walcott was excellent and I would like to see him keep his place there instead of Armstrong. Vestergaard was immense again and deserved his MOTM award. Another excellent game for KWP as well. Getting JWP and Romeu booked in the first half maybe cost us a little in aggression in the second. Djenepo and Redmond both very poor today. Ref - Mike Dean innit. How he didn't book Gundogan for that cynical foul on Walcott was disgraceful. Then a minute later couldn't wait to get the card out for JWP. Terrible display from him today.
  6. And again. No-one able to get on the end of that one but it was a lovely ball.
  7. He played a delightful ball in just now that caused a bit of panic in the City defence.
  8. Good save Macca.
  9. Yeah, you just know it. We'll huff and puff and chasse an equaliser, and then they'll hit us with a sucker punch on the break.
  10. Phew. Bertrand switched off completely then. Got away with it. Was just about to say that City look to be happy to sit back and defend their 1 goal lead. Says a lot about us that they are showing us that much respect.
  11. Now that is NOT a handball under the current rules. I really hate Mike Dean.
  12. Might have been better to keep Djenepo on. And he was completely anonymous.
  13. Deary me. Redmond's touch has abandoned him since he came on.
  14. Yep. If it bounces off the knee at point blank range like that it's no pen. Oh Redders!!!
  15. Redmond getting ready. Surely Djenepo being hooked. He's not been in this game at all.
  16. Lucky. Should have been 0-2 there really.
  17. On today's showing, I have to say I much prefer Walcott on the right than Armstrong. He's having a great game so far.
  18. Still don't understand why City aren't wearing their home kit. Seems most clubs choose their second kit by default for away games this season, even if there's no clash with their first kit. Is it a contractual thing? Is it to boost sales of replica away kits?
  19. Annoying. Citeh not really deserving of their lead and Dean showing ridiculous bias towards them. Gonna be one of those games where we will get robbed and the press will jerk themselves off about how good Citeh are to overcome a tough test.
  20. Fucksake Dean. That's two blatant fouls not given in quick succession there.
  21. Yep. And again just then. Ball down the line was the obvious play there but he preferred to play it backwards and inside instead.
  22. You're not wrong.
  23. I can understand why it wasn't given though. The contact didn't really prevent Ingsy from getting his header in. Would have been a foul elsewhere on the pitch though.
  24. In fairness to Mike Dean, he did then give a harsh yellow to KDB straight afterwards. No intention there at all.
  25. Seems we've come alive again since conceding.
