Headless chicken comes to mind now. Was hoping we might nick it but I'll be relieved if we get to the end without conceding now.

To be fair, I don't recall anybody ever getting a yellow for such a nothing foul. Pathetic refereeing IMO.
-
WTF! That was never worth a yellow card!
-
Come on Deano. About time you got another goal!

Hammond coming on

Shhhe-it! I saw the lino wave his flag then and thought he was signalling for a penalty!

Another short corner comes to nothing. When is someone going to put two and two together!?

Conolly has been completely ineffective so far, yet again some poor control breaks down what could have been a promising opening. Get Sharp on at HT I reckon.

Finally found a stream of half-decent quality/consistency and we are well on top so far, but it's our final ball that is seriously lacking.

Oh dear. They really are skating on thin ice now!

OK, who's going to own up to this comment on that Guardian article...? It could only have come from someone on here I'm certain.

New PC ..... What games can it handle?
Sheaf Saint replied to Jeff Le Taxi's topic in Technology Chat
What ASRock mobo is it Jeff? I ask because I built a new machine last year with a ASRock N68C-S UCC motherboard and it enabled me to unlock the remaining cores on my AMD Phenom 3.2GHz dual-core and turn it into a quad-core system and double my processing power, so if you have the same mobo you might want to look into doing the same. The rest of the spec is similar to mine except I have a 5670 graphics card with 512MB DDR3 memory, and I have no problems whatsoever running the latest games. Got F1 2011 running with everything set to maximum and it runs like a dream. -
I went out with some old friends on the weekend for a wet-the-babys-head celebration and had a pint of lager for the first time in I don't know how long, as they didn't appear to have any decent ale or cider in the bar we were in. I went for Amstel as I remember I liked it when I went to Amsterdam some years ago, and it didn't taste of anything. It was just gassy, flavourless p*ss-water and served only to reinforce the reasons why I began drinking ale instead.

Not sure of the validity of this, but it made me laugh anyway...

I'm all in favour of a cap in principle. Cameron was on the news last week saying that benefits of £26k is equivalent to a pre-tax salary of £35k. I've worked hard all my life since leaving school 20 years ago and I've never earned anything like that kind of money, so why the hell should people just expect to be given that amount from public funds? One woman was complaining about the cap on the basis that she would have to move out of her nice flat and into somewhere cheaper where she doesn't know anybody. Well boo-hoo - it happened to me once when I lost my job and had to take lower paid work; I couldn't afford the rent and had to live somewhere cheaper and not as nice. Life is just sh*t and unfair sometimes and you have to deal with it - this woman has obviously never heard the saying "beggars can't be choosers"

You know you're getting old when.... * You can't be bothered to even leave the house on New Years Eve, let alone go out with your mates * You find yourself looking forward to the afternoon play on R4 * You find yourself proclaiming that all modern music is rubbish and that today's young'uns don't realise how good it was 'back in your day' * You will quite happily buy new clothes from Sainsburys because you don't care how fashionable or cool you look any more I'm about to turn 37 and all of the above have become a part of my life

I'm no legal eagle, but I imagine that if they can prove Mandaric paid him the amount in such a way that he knew full well the tax would not be paid on it, then he is also guilty of the charge of 'cheating the public revenue'.

That's actually a very good point trousers. I think somebody should contact the FL and ask for clarification on this and if it turns out to be the case then they should receive an immediate 10-point deduction regardless of what other punishments may still be imposed for other financial irregularities.

Would have taken a draw at half time, but given the frantic ending it's disappointing we couldn't find a winner. Still top two and still above Cardiff, West Ham getting tonked at Ipswich so not all bad really.

wooooooot!!!!!!!!!

OOooooh. close from Lallana!

Come on Saints, if this doesn't help you get a late winner then I don't know what will...
