Ok i have just spoken to the ticket office about this and they say the only home pre-season game will be against Reading and this is NOT named the Ted Bates Trophy and the lady i spoke to has no idea why this is the case. Now i am not about to jumpup and down furiously spouting off as we have no answers at present as to why the TB game has been ditched. I am prepared to wait and see if there is an explanation and a reasonable one at that before accussing NC of being the devil incarnate!!

I agree with the point you make and if it was something like that then yes it would be OTT. However if it is something more serious i.e. a significant signing or something affecting the aqausition of land close to St. Marys then this should be confidential until all the T's are crossed and all the I's dotted.....loose tongues are the downfall of many a major deal once another interested party gets to find out!!

And to be fair thats the way it should be in any organisation. Loyalty is paramount to success and i dont care if its in football or any other business, employees should except that if they leak confidential information before their bosses want it told then they should expect to pay the consequences.

Alpine were you by any chance deported from the U.K. for being a typical Victor Melrose type (the most miserable git) or are you at a foreign boarding school? You have to be the most negative person I have ever come across.

The trouble with England and i mean the country as a whole is that we build ourselves up for a fall ALL THE TIME. We are a fairly average side with one or two very good players. Feel sorry for Rob Green and his inclusion is Capello's fault. The back 4 are as slow as carthorses (apart from Ashley Cole) Gerrard seemed to revel in his captaincy roll and played very well. Lampard was average. I don't think our wingers did enough and Wright-Phillips really ****es me off with his blind running. Rooney was very quiet for too much of the game...he had brief spurts of what he is capable off but not enough. I'm no fan of Heskey at all BUT i thought he was excellent apart from his sitter he missed. He won everything, his passing was excellent and his link up play was good. I would love us to go on and win the tournament but i am realistic to know we lack the qaulity and depth throughout our squad.

Although in principle this is a decent idea it will not work and it will not unite the fans. You only have to read the recent threads on here to see the diverse opinions covering many topics. An elected member will never truly represent the masses because the masses will never agree on any subject, there will always be differing opinions.

I don't need an "indication" that the club are doing something..... AP is an experienced manager and NC is no ones mug. We will hear anything when the club are good and ready to announce anything to tell.

I'm with you on this one, i can't believe how worked up some people have got in the last few weeks.

Was in the WestQuay store this afternoon and asked the staff about the new kit. They said hopefully some time this month! Personally i dont care when its released makes no odds as far as i'm concerned and cant see why some people are getting their knickers in a twist over it!

Another day and the same old drama queens are up and at their keyboards spouting the same things over and over and over and over..........

Stu a very reasonable letter with some solid points and as you feel so strongly about this i hope you do get an answer. I suspect if you do get an answer you still won't be happy....but as i've said before you cannot please all the people all of the time! I would suggest leaving the subject alone now, you have more than expressed your point and even if i do not share your point of view it did not take me more than 1 page of your arguement to understand where you are coming from on this.

I'm sure we are not the only club to have its fair share of drama queens and whinning minnies but as i only ever bother to read this forum it appears we have a certain core element who can do nothing but moan and whine. Have any of you drama queens out there stopped and thought for a minute. ML bought our club and cleared our debts and saved us from oblivion. He then quite rightly stated he wanted to run the club as self generating and living within its means once stability was achieved. The club is living within the economic times we live in as best it can. I don't care what anyone says but this country is ****ed and there are going to be some very hard times ahead that the goverment will have to impose and football is not above those hard times. Stop blaming the club, blame Sky tv, blame fat cat agents, blame greedy players that have turned the game into one big money obsessed arena. If the club is to survive once Marcus has left....and he will do eventually, then the club needs to be able to do so with income it self generates. Its simple economics in harsh times. As much as i can sympathise with many that dont like some of the decisions the club has made i would ask them to take their heads out of the sand and think about the bigger picture!

Jesus 8 pages of this ********, have some people on here no life at all?? Stu if it means that much to you vote with your feet and don't attend games!.....but to keep going on and on and on, well frankly it is boring and tedious.

I seriously have to laugh at some of the drama queens on here who think every day NC must update the fans about every rumour, about every minute detail involving Saints.....personally i like his no nonsense attitude and the way he doesn't pander to anyone, he just gets on with the job in hand. Some people need to wise up seriously!!

Thats what gives me the most pleasure, spending time with my sons watching Saints together and then spending almost all week digesting all things Saints...lol. The JPT Final was our first chance together to see Saints at Wembley and i could not have been happier. I still play league football at the age of 45 and its because my son now plays in the same team, the love of football with him keeps me going.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever been in a position where you have heard people gossiping about you?...and the gossip be wide of the mark? what did you do? rise above it and think "I'm better than that, i'm not even going to dignify that rubbish with a response"....or have you jumped up and down like a child demanding they retract those nasty untrue words??? I know what i do!!

Unless they got a quote directly from NC himself it is at best 3rd hand information which cannot be substantiated....all it is ....FACT someone told them something they could not prove one way or the other so they decided what the hell we will print this it doesn't matter we cannot prove this and it may be a load of b*llocks!!

If i'm wrong i'll happily accept the critiscm BUT....I do not believe for one moment that NC suddenly had a change of heart and decided those horrible people at the Echo and those ex managers and players are right and he shouldn't sack AP. I don't believe he ever intended to sack AP. Being dissapointed we didn't make the playoffs yes...we missed it by a whisker and if i was NC i would be upset.....but sacking the manager who it was obvious most of the fan base was behind before these stupid rumours even manifested themselves, NO. The man is to astute for that and unless anyone on here heard it to the contrary from NC himself anything else was just unsubstantiated conjecture. I really do think people should move on and stop seeing conspiracy theories where none exist and read more into statements given than the exact words stated!!
