Really concerned about today and so should anyone that saw our performance at Rochdale. I was shocked to see how poor we were and we lost badly to a Rochdale team that were not that good. We have to go out all guns blazing from the start...not wait until the second half to start playing. Another performance like Tuesday night and i honestly think it will be the playoffs for us. Please dont anyone think i'm being overly concerned because i'm not.....i honestly dont think we have been playing well recently. An early goal will settle any nerves and hopefully we will go on and get the 3 points comfortably

Did not get home from Rochdale until almost 3 am and too tired to post my comments then. This game was lost before we kicked off....well if the horrendous 7 hour car journey was anything to go by!!! We just didnt turn up for the first half and this seems to be a bit of a regular occurrence with Saints. Our passing was woeful and we were void of any ideas. Guly had one of those games, he produced about 3 fantastic crosses into the 6 yard box that deserved someone on the end off but the other 95% of his game he was dire. Stephens was ok and was neat and tidy but he and Hammond are very similar sort of players and offered little support to Barny and Lambert. Both the goals were avoidable and were a result of us losing possession in their half! We played for about 20 minutes in the second half where we created several good chances and had one gone in i think we could have gone on to get something but a goal didnt go in and we just seemed to run out of ideas and resorted to hoof ball. Rochdale simply wanted it more. Very disappointing overall.....oh and what a crap ground....please Saints dont screw promotion up i never want to visit Rochdale again!!

Making my first away trip of the season tomorrow....god i must be mad!! Really hope the players see this as a brilliant chance to cement second place and dont give Rochdale a look in. Really looking forward to going with minibarcelona and justmike. Thanks justmike for driving, its a hell of a long way! My heart says 2-0 win Saints, my head says 1-1....I will be happy with either!

Really encouraged by our recent wins and the way we have almost caught up with Huddersfield but i can not help being very concerned that out of our remaining 8 games 5 are away from home and the next 3 away from home are all potentially very hard games!!Orient, Rochdale and Brighton all going very well and with everything to play for. Its going to be one hell of a gut wrenching run in now and i would settle for us needing to beat Walsall on the last day to go up.

To some degree i have to agree with Alps and say we MUST win tonight. If we dont it is far from over but what it does do is put even more pressure on us with each passing game if we fail to win tonight against a very poor Charlton side who's own fans expect to get tonked. Unlike Alps I can base my judgement on seeing Saints regularly and i must admit that i have not been overly confident this season. In patches we have played some very entertaining and very good football but i think we have almost adapted to this horrible league and changed into a side that grinds out results without looking particularly good. (If this gets us promoted i for one will be very happy) The one think that really worries me and i dont think i'm alone in this is we only seem to play in the second half of games recently and this could be our undoing if NA doesnt get the boys fired up from the very off. We should be at Charltons throats from the very off tonight. CMON YOU REDS!!

Awful Awful defending. We were totally in control and i honestly thought we would get a third and then we get caught ball watching for both their goals. This is why so many question our ability to be an automatic promotion team!

Have to agree with Alps on this one to some point. Punch is obviously on his way or he would be in the squad (barring an unknown injury) Not so sure about it being a message to Davis, more a message to Bart, your very much part of the squad and you deserve a game in a match we are not expected to win, so go enjoy!

Le Tiss just asked on Sky Sports about his problem getting tickets for his children......he was very diplomatic but obviously upset that a loyal servant and our greatest player of modern times had to wait over 3 weeks to get tickets and then only after the national press got involved. I support NC totally, i think we have made leaps and bounds with him at the helm, but this was a PR disaster!

I am struggling to feel very positive at the moment. Brighton have been very consistent and you have to give full credit to them and their manager. At the moment i can not see us catching them aand to be honest i think we will do well to finish second. I think alot depends on the next 5 days...will we lose AOC this window, is Lallana out for long, is Punch staying, is Bernard about to be sent down....will we sign anyone to potentially replace any if not all of these!!

speaking to someone who speaks to the player himself on a daily basis .....he states Oxo is going nowhere during this window and is very happy at Saints. I Have every reason to believe this is true.

I have done some digging re Guly's partner and her potential visa problems. I have it on good authority that neither Guly or his partner should have any problems with the paperwork needed and it should all be pretty straight forward. Fully expect to hear Guly has signed permanent contract later this month.

I agree with your sentiments......i am appalled how football stars, tv personalities or those generally in the limelight DO GET TREATED differently when they appear before a judge. The average guy in the street would have gone down for this, it sends an appalling message!

and many guilty people have escaped being sent down although totally guilty .....it works both ways!!!
