Arsenal 6 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction
BARCELONASAINT replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
I will leave the hysterical reactions for others.........i will just say that was very hard to watch but i feel our season really kicks off next week. It is not time to panic yet, lets see how we are doing after 10/12 games. -
Because like i said earlier in the week he is injured. He had his right arm in a cast from elbow to his fingers when he came through Southampton airport with his father!
-
and to think people doubted i was telling the truth about his injury earlier in the week!
-
The kids went back to school this week! I have better things to do than waste my time making stuff up for attention. I thought i would post something some Saints fans would like to know as i have a great advantage of knowing who comes and goes through the airport. Maybe i'll just keep things to myself in future.
-
God knows how he has broken his arm? Its the right arm and it appeared to be in a full cast. He has just come back from a trip to NICE with his father......obviously a dangerous place to go!
-
Really sorry to bring bad news but we will not see Tadanari in a Saints shirt for a while! He has just landed at Southampton airport with his arm in a plaster cast!

I watched the game last night and have to say it was weird watching a live game from Colombia being played in glorious sunshine while it was pitch black here! Anyway, the game was over 3 minutes into the second half as a rampant Colombia destroyed a very ordinary Uruguay side. GASTON came on for the last 30 minutes ans his side were already 3-0 down and playing like a beaten side. GASTON whenever he got the ball looked very composed, he has a great touch and holds the ball well. He didn't have much of a chance to shine purely because the game was over really by the time he came on. However the brief glimpse i got to see of him was encouraging.....and thank god he wasn't injured!

I dont know how many got the opportunity to watch YOSHIDA in action yesterday but i was one of the lucky/unlucky ones who watched it on Fox Sports. It was a dire game and certainly nothing was learned about the quality of YOSHIDA's defending against a woeful UAE side. Our entire back 4 could have played in that game and never broken sweat. I trust YOSHIDA has been carefully watched over a period of time by our scouting network and NA knows exactly what he is getting. I'm also trusting the OP is basing his opinion on having watched the player numerous times and not just yesterdays game! TBH i do not think he will walk straight into the side. Just my honest opinion on what i saw yesterday. I really hope he is the real deal.

Japan have won 1-0 and Yoshida played the full 90 minutes. He played on the right side of the 2 centre backs. Very difficult game to judge him as UAE were no real threat at all. He looked better in the second half but UAE looked worse! On the plus side he got 90 minutes which is good for fitness and he hasn't picked up an injury.

Just watched the first half of the Japan game and can not say i'm impressed. I desperately want this lad to be good (god knows we need more defensive options) and i will give him the benefit of the doubt. However based on the 45 mins i just watched he needs to step his game up if he is going to be better than what we have. On the plus side its a poor game generally and it might be a case of not reading too much into this performance so far. Here is looking forward to a better second half.

Saints becoming 'MALI's ATM Machine'
BARCELONASAINT replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I think the bloggers time would be better spent worrying about his own tinpot club and how they are going to survive not being turned into the next Tesco's! -
Michael Owen, brilliant striker in his day but definitely falls into the has been category. I don't believe for one moment we are or ever have shown any interest in buying him!
-
By now i would have thought you would have realised that 99% of players we go after or show an interest we NEVER KNOW about! Its been that way since NC took over and i for one am quite happy with this. Occasionally we have got to hear about a possible player but its fair to say YOU and the rest of us have no idea who the management were trying to get in.....and just because we dont know doesnt mean they were not trying to address the issue with the right players!
-
I'm amazed that Alpine has not hijacked this thread with his unique brand of doom and gloom spreading, after all he has hijacked every other thread! Excellent comeback by the younger players and totally agree with other posters that now playing competitive football this season will help their development tremendously. Nice to have positive things to read about for once about our club and players!

Well well another footballer or ex in this case using tweets to get a public reaction.....this is pathetic and i thought better of Le Tiss than airing any personal grief he has in public. All this public mud flinging does is harm our great club.

Saints 2 Man United 3 - Post Match Reactions
BARCELONASAINT replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
As the rest of you i am gutted that we have lost a game that we were within touching distance of winning. I watched however a young team that once they got going after the first ten minutes make a Ferguson team look very ordinary for such long periods of the game. We have players that play the way game should be played and it was a joy to watch. Yes, also like the rest of you i feel the changes cost us the game. However before you all start slating NA remember he got us up 2 seasons on the trot and has made many great decisions along the way. Today he got it wrong and i'm sure no one here needs to tell him that! I still feel very optimistic for the rest of the season......I know it hurts like hell right now but lets not all be so quick to slate the manager and certain players....A season is a long time NOT JUST 3 GAMES! -
There are not many things that would cause me to stop attending Saints games but if we were to ever re-appoint that man that would be one of them! NC runs an honest club, there is no way on gods earth he would want HR here!
-
I can remember as a kid when we signed Keegan and how excited and shocked i was that little Southampton had pulled off a miracle signing.......well i didn't think i would see it again but this is Saints and miracles do happen....brilliant transfer window.....thank you NC and especially ML

Adkins was grinning from ear to ear during that interview, its a done deal and i expect thats not the end of it either. Saints i love the way you do business.

PMSL, just shows what the Italians are like.....Berbatov was apparently supposed to join Fiorentina but failed to turn up for medical and now looking like joining Fulham. Fiorentina's presidents reaction "we are glad he didn't turn up, he is not worthy of our great city".......made me laugh
-
There is only one reason for feeling like this. The majority on this forum hang on every bit of gossip, every tweet, every idiot out there google searching and then posting here. Come tomorrow night we will have in who we have....end off! Its only become like a poor soap opera because people on here have turned it into one!
-
have we scored??? BBC showing us 1-0 up?
-
come on guys lay off Alps....after all he keeps staff at the DOP game fully employed!
-
OK, for what its worth this lad has great ability. He is very confident on the ball and is a very good tackler. I cant say that whenever i have seen him that he lacks pace, he looked fine by me and at first glance i would say this is an excellent signing and in the mould of players we are looking to bring here. However my one reservation is his serious injury.....by all accounts he is fully recovered......i just get the feeling Barcelona are willing to sell this player because it was such a bad injury and they dont want to risk getting nothing for this player. I trust totally that if we are in for him a medical will reveal if this is a risk or not.
