  1. It is very positive news and further proof that the club is being handled correctly and that the long term future of SFC is the ultimate goal. Markus wishes are truly being carried out by NC. The future is bright....the future is red and white!
  2. No Turkish, i doubt NC would tell NA if he thought about sacking him....anymore than i think he would tell ANYBODY of his plans, which make these rumours just plain stupid
  3. I just can not see Adkins being sacked. He achieved the clubs goals well ahead of what NC wanted and showed what team spirit, not to mention a united club spirit can achieve. On top of that Adkins has just returned from Holland with the recruitment guy we got from Millwall.......would Adkins really be out in Holland looking at players if NC had intention of keeping him on? I would be very surprised, not to mention gutted if NC did not give Adkins the opportunity to take us to the next level
  4. Nigel Adkins and Paul Mitchell have just returned this morning from a 1 day trip to Amsterdam. Possibly looking at a player?
  5. Done, looking forward to playing
  6. Hi, am after just 1 ticket anywhere in the ground, email MIKEBARCELONA@aol.com, thanks in advance to anyone able to help
  7. Absolutely gutted i'm going to miss the Borough game. Usually i would watch it on TV as its an away game but because of the later kick off i'm already booked for a social event that come hell or high water i cant get out off!....will have to keep logging on here on my iphone for updates....gutted!
  8. Why is it "oh Dear"?......do you know for a fact that the press box was not full? And who cares less about a crap newspapers reporter not being let in anyway. Have you not seen whats gone on this year with our tabloids being exposed for being nothing more than crooked. I couldnt give a damm about the press from some local rag!
  9. I totally agree that football fans are tax payers too and why shouldnt the tax payer contribute towards the bill outside the ground. The local economy does benefit from the club being successful......However i think the agenda here is not really a moan about the football club and Joe public paying a tax bill......Personally i think the frustrations here are because Hampshire Police force like many others across the country are being forced to make savings that amount to £millions a year. Without getting political The service is being attacked at every corner. Like it or not and whatever your opinion is of our Police force it is still regarded as the best in the world. The frustrations of Mr Burrows are clear, this added policing bill is coming out of the budget for this year and all events like the Saints v Pompey game put an added financial burden on the Police force that they can ill afford. Hopefully some will understand its not about not wanting to provide a service to Hampshire taxpayers....its about being able to afford it!
  10. I know that...you know that....and every other Saints fan knows that.....but you trying telling that deluded lot down the coast that! And i'm sure every Brighton fan with 2 brain cells would want their team to win every game (see i gave some fans credit for possibly having 2 brain cells)
  11. oh the dilemma for every Brighton fan....wish like mad that their team wins their next 2 games.....and give their bitter rivals almost certain promotion or hope they lose their next 2 matches.... on the chance this might bugger up Saints promotion chances......but with the cost of their own hopes of possible promotion via the playoffs The way i see it....its LOSE LOSE if you are a Brighton fan
  12. It matters not a jot what anyone on this site thinks of Guly. Only one persons opinion matters and that is the manager that has got us to the position we find ourselves in and he pick Guly to play time and time again. Nigel obviously feels Guly brings something to the team and that the other players benefit from having him in the team. Personally i hated him when he first arrived. I thought he was useless. However i have watched him consistently now and i can see the benefits he brings the side. He is slated by many on here and sometimes his performances deserve that.....but he is not the only player to have poor games, yet he is the one who takes the brunt of the critiscim on here. On this forum its all about opinions.....and thank god as a forum we dont manage the side!!!.....In Nige we trust!
  13. I quite like Guly but he is having a mare. For such a big bloke he can't bloody jump. Saying that Sharp looks crap as well and thats not because of the pen miss.
  14. excellent Nige just said he wasnt ready, niggling injury , not risked with easter games coming up!
  15. I still think this will go to the wire, there are more twists and turns to come. Nothing wrong with believing we can do it but lets not fall into the trap of over confidence, this is Saints after all I think Nigel is doing a fantastic job keeping the team focused and grounded. We can only concentrate on our games and not what our opposition are doing. The golden goose is tantalizingly close.
  16. stevegrant is quite correct it was away and we lost 4-0
  17. thank the footballing gods
  18. yes Leeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
  19. personally i can not see a problem with wanting to know who is going to be in the building be it health and safety or anything else. However the club could do with employing someone that can use a computer!
  20. Oh the irony of Portsmouth complaining about some honest factual remarks. Bet they are not in a hurry to tell anyone which Championship club is helping them out by paying an extremely important bill.....NO OF COURSE THEY WON'T!
  21. Loaning their players out to Portsmouth is one thing and obviously does not breach any league rules.....however paying Portsmouths bills, YES PAYING THEIR BILLS!....I can not believe there are no football league rules being broken by West Ham doing this!
  22. Out of interest does anyone know if any league rules are being breached if another Championship club are found to paying/helping out Portsmouth financially?
  23. http://www.maycauseoffence.com/2012/03/06/itll-be-a-well-managed-ship-that-wins-southampton-promotion/ Well worth a read for all Saints fans. Very good piece, well researched. We can only hope Adkins stays under the radar!
