not at all hopeful about this, i have an awful feeling we are about to see another Jrod situation after another "nothing" incident. Really hope i'm wrong and it is just about a couple of weeks rest in time for Everton.

I have loved this season and the great football that has been played. Did i ever think we would qualify for CL....No, i'm realistic and we do not have the squad depth for that. Yes we can qualify for Europa and yes i will be chuffed about that and dont understand anyone that would not be. We would need to increase our squad depth by at least 3 players i think for Europa and domestic football.

we could open up a very healthy gap between us and 8th place today if we win and West spam dont win. That would make UEFA cup football at least all the more likely. Haven't totally given up on CL but UEFA is more realistic

I think the majority on here are realistic and accept that 99% of players have no real loyalty to the football club that employ them and this has been the case for years. Matt Le Tiss was a one off. All they care about is the size of their wage pack. How many have we seen go to clubs and double or triple their salaries BUT play little football for their new club due to the squad sizes. Any one that wants to leave should go but on OUR terms. I am confident they will be replaced by better or equal quality players....thats one thing our management team have shown this season.

I think he has mellowed over the years and calmed down alot.....my experiences of him when he played for us are not good....he was a complete arrogant ****. Too much money when young and believed the hype about himself.

this has been a cracking game and i fear Spurs and Liverpool are both really playing at their peaks now. I'm not being pessemistic when when i say we will lose to both these these sides, i just can not see us beating either side. Kane and Sturridge are both too quick and strong. I sincerley hope i'm wrong....ohhh and goal Liverpool....lol

whatever happens over the next 14 games we as fans have had one hell of a ride this season. I am so proud to say i support the Saints and have done for 40+ years through good and bad. The only thing that depresses me is seeing some of our players slated by our own fans. Come on guys, these are the players that have had us up in these dizzy heights all season. Back every last one of them to the end of the season!!!

Ramirez has been so lightweight. Has to go down as the most expensive flop ever as far as Saints are concerned. Really wanted the lad to do well at Hull just so we might stand a chance of selling him. Who would want him now. He just is not cut out for the Premiership. Hull by the way are a team staring relegation in the face, they were awful

This is a difficult one to call......In over 40 years of supporting Saints i am for the first time starting to believe we could be a top 4 club. This squad of players believe it is achieveable and are working incredibly hard for one another. We are doing what the top clubs do, play brilliantly at times and still grind out results when our backs are against it. My biggest concern is the same as alot on here....the depth of our squad for the run in. You can bet we will need to at least keep up with our current form to keep top 4 and to do that i believe we need our best players....those that have stood in have done a fantastic job. For theses reasons for the Palace game i would be sorely tempted to rest players like Pelle, Fonte, Clyne, Bertrand. I'm sorry if i appear selfish because i have seen Saints lift the F A Cup, but i honestly think Champions League qualification and everything it would bring to Southampton is more important than the F.A.Cup in todays football.

I remember the first time i saw him play and i turned round to my mate and said "he's the worst player i have ever had to watch wear the Saints shirt"....to be fair he certainly changed my opinion of him and he is rightly remembered fondly by Saints fans. I hope Chicago see the player he was for us!

was very disappointed with our performance up front yesterday. Not sure if we were (a) tired from the number of games played recently, (b) thought Ipswich would be easy or © could not be arsed....whatever the reasons we looked as flat as a pancake and only hope Koeman can work his magic for Sunday. I definately think we need another quality striker if we are going to aim to finish in a spot thet guarantees European football. I thought United were one of the worst sides i have see at St Marys this season and still find it hard to believe how we lost to them....that said they took the only two chances they had and we wasted a hat full.....we definately are capable of getting a result IF the boys play like they did against Utd a few weeks ago.

Typical of some on this board.......where did I say anything about Morgan leaving in Januarys window???....he will leave at some point i have no doubt...and personally i would not be surprised to see him go to Arsenal.

I did think when he got sent off that he did not look so bothered about it. It does seem strange that his absences have been when we are due to play Arsenal. Would like to think its a massive co-incidence....but i'm not so sure!

not sure what to make of this signing! In Koeman i trust that he knows the lad and believes he can get the best out of him. The Werder Bremen fans seen very happy to see the back of him........smacks a bit of our fans and Gaston!

I will be a bit contraversial here probably but i think we bought Mane because he has the potential to be an excellent player.....yes potential, he is no where near the finished product and he frustrates the hell out of me. I think about Wanyama when he first came to notice....a beast of a player but with many rough edges, Saints saw something they could work on and he is definately a much better player now. I believe that the club hope this will be the case with Mane. Lets face it, if anyone can coach the rough edges of Manes game its Koeman.

agree with S-Clarke......some just needed a dose of reality. I can immagine the pundits will be praying for an upset tonight to get the already sharpened knifes out!

I havent been convinced from our last 3 performances and seriously think we are seeing a dip in our form....i'm not complaining...i think it was inevitable. If we get a point tonight i will be very pleased...do i expect anything from tonights game? no unfortunately i do not. C'mon Saints please prove me wrong!

will be interesting to see how we bounce back from Saturdays poor result and tepid performance. I have enjoyed the ride so far this season but like many i have not got carried away and fully expected us to lose Saturday if the real Man City turned up. It is unrealistic to expect a squad our size compete with the likes of City and Chelsea. Arsenal are an enigma, i love the way they attempt to play and on their day they will beat anyone....hopefully not tomorrow. Man Utd are finding their feet at the wrong time for Saints fans. If we are still in the top 6 come Jan 1st i will be very happy. A Cup final and Europe to boot over top 6 finnish....mmmm difficult....think if pressed i will settle for Cup final and hopefully Europe from that.
