  1. i've no idea why, but i'm kinda sorry to see Gaston go. I think i'm easily pleased because his excellent play was probably no more than 90 minutes in total since he has been here. Just really wanted to see him turn it on in a Saints shirt. Part of me thinks that although Koeman probably saw the flashes of brilliance we all know he had , he probably also saw a player who does not have the work ethic that he demands. If we are saving a shed load of money on this deal and we do get Mane in or whatever his name is then its probably not bad business.
  2. I know i have a weird sense of humour but i find this so funny.....1. why on earth would Ramirez want to go to Hull....unless someone has told him its similar to London and he has no idea where it is.....2. Are Hull mad?...If he breaks a finger nail he is out for 2 weeks.....3. not a reason i know but....i like the guy and hope he doesnt go!
  3. Ramirez to Hull......that has got to be a **** take......does anyone seriously think he would go to Hull?
  4. yes Pelle!!!!!!!!!
  5. ok, i want to know what Koeman said at half time!!!!
  6. god this is awful, we have virtually our strongest side out and look inept. For all the slagging off of Pelle, i have got to say the service is **** poor. For the first time i am genuinely worried about this Saints side. We don't look capable of creating a thing, let alone score a goal.
  7. Just about stayed awake during that....honestly it was a boring game by two teams that looked incapable of creating anything. I really worry where the goals are going to come from because Pelle just doesn't look a Premiership player!
  8. Really sorry Steve, i'm going to have to drop out
  9. Just sent Jordan a text to see if he has a pre season game or not and told him to come on here if he is available
  10. Steve I can play this Saturday
  11. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 1m More OFFICIAL: #SaintsFC complete their second deal of the day with the signing of defender Florin Gardos. #SaintFlorin
  12. update of no importance really other than to say that Morgan and Jos left the Park Plazza Hotel in London near Waterloo about 15 minutes ago. They were not in anyone elses company.
  13. The latest player to be spotlighted is Brighton starletSolly March. [h=4]The scout reports...[/h]We check on a player attracting a lot of attention in the Championship, Solly March has recently broken into the first-team picture at Brighton - and is impressing a lot of on-lookers. March began at his local club Lewes, and quickly progressed through youth ranks before making his first-team debut by the time he was 17. But he was quickly attracting attention from a host of Premier League and Championship clubs. Arsenal, Newcastle, Sunderland and West Ham were all keen on taking March, but it was his Brighton who won the day - the club his father Steve played for as an apprentice. March penned a three-year deal with Brighton in late 2011. It took March just over 12 months to really find his feet at the AMEX, as he was then pushing for a place in the first team. Early in 2013, March was included in a number of squads and made the bench for Brighton - but did not feature. The following season saw him heavily involved pre-season and it has been little surprise that Oscar Garcia has recognised his talent and has brought him into his first-team squad. And perhaps the teenager is fortunate to be working under such a progressive coach as Spaniard Garcia - given that March's game is certainly leading from the technical aspect. Standing at over 6ft, March is a truly elegant performer - often played on the wing, but looks perfectly suited to a number '10' role, pulling the strings behind the front-man. Comfortable on the ball, and with both feet - March has the skill set that you can't really teach but is natural. However, he has shown playing out wide that he is willing to fit into a system. He has an eye for a pass too and learning when to play it is clearly something Garcia is working on, but he is clearly quickly emerging as a fine young player. [h=4]The scout says...[/h]Clearly has a wonderful future ahead of him and he appears to be in the perfect place at the moment. However, with talent like this it is hard to hide from the Premier League scouts and Brighton will have to work hard to keep hold of this prospect. [h=4]The Scout rating...[/h]Shooting: 7 out of 10 Passing: 8 out of 10 Tackling: 6 out of 10 Heading: 6 out of 10 Pace: 7 out of 10 Vision: 8 out of 10 Current ability: 7 out of 10 Potential ability: 10 out of 10 OVERALL SCOUT RATING: 59/80 Current value: £4million Potential value: £18million
  14. I started going to the Dell about 1970 as a 6 year old and have wonderful memories as man and boy of our old ground. Very different times and very enjoyable. Thank you for uploading those pictures. Gave me something to smile about and remember when football wasn't all about mega million pound players and super rich foreign owners.
  15. any news Guan???
  16. someone nip down to the airport, only one flight in from Glasgow tonight at roughly 8pm and one from Edingburgh same time.
  17. Tyreke Johnson, who is being touted by many within the Swindon footballing fraternity to have a bright future in the game, showed glimpses of his talent. He went on a surging run and it was his blocked cross that earned the corner that would provide Swindon with their best chance of the half. ......This from a report last year.
  18. 74: #BHAFC pull one back as Lua Lua cuts in from the right as dispatches a shot that comes off Clyne and loops over Davis. #saintsfc [1-3]
  19. i take it back, class save from Forster
  20. Forster does not like he can be arsed tbh
  21. very astute of you sir!.....and for reasons which should be obvious i will not divulge why just a sibling returning home should have such a big impact! All i can say is the lad is between a rock and a hard place.
  22. People need to understand the situation with Ings has been going on for well over a month now. I sat in a meeting over a month ago when it was divulged that Ings at that point had two offers on the table, one from Liverpool and one from Saints. He obviously had decisions to make. What has made it harder for him is a very personal family matter that is making it difficult for him to decide where his future lies. The very personal family matter lies in Southampton where someone has come back recently and settled here. He is extremely close to this family member and if people understood whats going on there they would understand why he is having a hard time working out what to do. I have had no update since that meeting i was lucky enough to sit in and don't know what the current situation is.....but that is it for whats its worth as of just over a month ago.
  23. This is completely what i have alluded to in my previous posts.....as my as i thought the Don was a "go getter" i had my concerns he was playing with fire and being totally reliant on KL pot of gold never drying up. Thanks for the post, makes perfect sense.
  24. This 100%, i'm starting to think we have got the most stupid forum members on gods green earth. I would be embarrassed to know some of you personally the way you reacted this summer and totally blamed the current board for......There is only 1 person to blame for this and its Cortese, selling the players something he could not deliver because it wasnt his money to be making empty promises!!!
  25. it's not the club thats a joke....it's some of our so called pathetic fans that have not got a clue about modern day football and who holds all the power. So Saint Garrett you honestly believe that the club could have kept hold of the the 4 that have left for 2 of the biggest football clubs in the world and massive wage increases. Jesus some people are deluded on here. We are all ****ed to see good players leave but the majority of us understand there is nothing the club can do once a player wants to leave.....except get top dollar, and to be fair Saints have done that. Now we need to spend it well.
