I dont often agree with your arguements on here and sometimes think you just post looking for an arguement....however here i 100% agree with what you say. You are right on NC and ML can decide....i just hope we keep what we have because there is no replacement for continuity for the fans, staff or players.

Personally i think this is exactly what will happen. Probably will upset a lot of drama queens on here and those that thought we had a divine right to promotion or the playoffs.

I think this is all complete b*llocks. AP has done all that could have been expected of him this season and now is in a perfect position to hit next season running with a proper pre-season and no points deduction behind him. If we have just signed this Calderon chap from Brighton this is surely all the proof we need that the final tweaks to the team are being made already in preperation for next season and that AP has obviously asked NC to go out and sign the player! Does anyone seriously think we would do that and then within days sack the manager? Too many people on here that just want to stir things up and have grossly over active immaginations.

You have been told it is not for the police to take action when fans go on the pitch, that is for the stewards, that is their role....IS THAT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND? ....contributing factor to the tension..... for gods sake behave, this was an end of season kick about with nothing riding on the outcome, the only tension was in deciding whether to have a pie or a pint at halftime or both, some people just have to have someone else to blame!!!

Completely naive thread from someone that knows nothing and just wants to blame the police for a mindless few that are stupid enough to break the ground rules. You would have to be a complete moron not to know it's an offence to go on the pitch which risks ejection from the ground, banning or arrest. The police are only there to act when requested to do so by the stewards. I was at the game and when the handful of idiots went on the pitch all you could hear was 20000 plus fans calling them ******s!! I think the majority let them know what they thought of them!

Complete rubbish printed by two garbage newspapers. Why people think NC has to make a statement is beyond me. I am sure the only person he needs to speak to is AP if he has not already made it very clear that he is happy with where AP has taken us and he will honour the contract HE GAVE AP. Enough said on the subject!!!

Hmmmmm, i don't think i said anywhere that i thought his decision was wrong.....I said i felt sorry for those fans that paid out their hard earned cash and stood in the p*ssing rain. I perfectly understand the point AP was making to NC.

The minute i heard the first 11 announced my heart went out to those fans that travel away to support our team. The result was inevitable before kickoff once the starting 11 was announced and i feel really sorry for those that pay hard earned money to travel up and down the country to support the team. Having slept on it i can understand AP decision to try fringe players and those playing for their contracts, i think quite a few questions will have been answered.....and it could have been a clever ploy by AP to show Cortese we do need 2/3 more players.

Another season in this league wont be a bad thing. We were not quite ready for the championship

In essense i agree totally with you, however your arguement has one major flaw!! How do you explain those SAINTS FANS THAT WERE CHALLENGED BY OTHER SAINTS FANS FOR BOOING CORTESE that were at the match and had to turn around and ask those fellow Saints fans why they were booing him??? Oh and their pathetic response was along the lines "....because we think he's a knob" Get used to it, our club is no different to every other club, we have an element of idiots just like all the others.:mad:

Why do you continously deny what so many other Saints fans who were at Wembley and clearly saw and heard what went on. You can say that you didnt hear any booing at Cortese BUT you cannot say it didnt happen just because you might not of heard it. There is already a post from a fan who turned and asked 2 fellow Saints fans why they were booing him and there answer was about as anal as your replies. You clearly post on hear just to try and get a response and wind people up.

Not wanting to ruin a great day and one i'll not forget for along time, but........ YES there were boo's when Cortese appeared on the big screen and NO i don't think it was a co-incidence and related to anything else.....TBH i was disgusted that a section of our fans obviously believe everything they read in the garbage tabloids or read far too much into what Cortese has really said......Both Cortese and our Swiss owner deserve all the praise for digging our proud club out of the hell hole they found it in. Pardew has done wonders and created an exciting team that will have more good days than bad and i for one am mighty proud tonight to be a Saints fan.

my Cup Final programme has just arrived and i'm now well and truley in the mood.....pity it looks like heavy rain on Sunday....i might just be pleased to be in the God seats as the new Wembley has no closing roof!!!! At least i'll be dry where i'm sat

Now yesterday is out ofthe way we can all look forward to Sunday. Not been to Wembley since the Zenith Data Cup final and can still remember how brilliant the Saints fans were that day compared to the Forest fans that were miserable gits. I think we will make it a day to remember and the atmosphere will be brilliant, I really can't wait. Only slight cloud on the horizon is the injury worries to the players, just hope this does not upset the balance of the side. COYR

Must admit i was rather ****ed off when i was made aware of the tickets on sale on Ebay. The seller who is obviously a Saints fan was told by at least two other Saints fans that what he was doing was illegal apart from being immoral......needless to say the sellers attitude was he didnt give a damm and felt it was his right to make as big a profit as he could of the back of other Saints fans who were not as lucky as those of us who have got tickets. I wouldn't want any genuine fan to miss the big day but this seller has even managed to get me thinking they deserve to excluded from the event :mad:

Hurrah, just got home from work and my two tickets have arrived, i'm now a happy bunny, Wembley here i come

Football and the fans are a very funny lot and more so with our collective fans.......we win a game and AP is the best thing since sliced bread......we lose a game and he's a crap manager with no tactical know how....... Amazing how some people forget we almost had no club to support 12 months ago and had endured 5 of the crappest seasons i can remeber in a row.... The word FICKLE springs to mind :mad:

my sons 2 tickets have arrived.....waiting for my 2 now...won't start panicking until the end of the week, plenty of time yet!

Not wanting to split hairs but you are wrong. They were only guaranteed a final ticket if they went to one of the area final games AND WAS REGISTERED ON THE DATABASE!!! The club failed to tell fans this important bit when fans paid for their tickets at the booking office at the stadium in person!!! I was lucky and managed to get round this but i suspect there are many unhappy fans that are now going to miss out on Wembley because they believed JUST going to the area final would guarantee them a final ticket.

Thank god for that, managed to get my 2 tickets today....little bit of inventiveness on my part....but i got there in the end..Wembley here i come :-D

As off 10.00am today we have sold 23,000 tickets....now thats impressive as its still only open to season ticket holders. All the best seats have already gone. Those still available are high up views or behind the corner flags. Looks like we are on course for a massive invasion of RED & WHITE!!!
