Pardew and Coaching Staff Sacked.
forever a red and white replied to marc_saint's topic in The Saints
A rumour that has been passed on to me is that one of the club's training staff has suggested all was not well with Pardew and that he upset a few at the training ground i.e. those he didn;t want to use for training would immediatley send home after calling them in and generally all was not well. Just passing on -

If cortese can;t work with them then fair enough, but he should find a way for the sake of results on the pitch. At least the squad is in place for a new manager if you can put any postive spin on it, which I can;t at this stage. -
lets be honest; He is a little bit unfortunate that he is always stuck on the right. He is bloody frustrating but he works hard for the team. Being on the left would be far better for him. Start him on the right and AL on the left but they should be swapping more during the game to mix it up a bit. That would help... a bit of variation.

this is my view on things: The player's don't look fully fit, partly because of injuries and not sure of the relevance of pre-season towards this. Barnard was desperately unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, Rickie was. Antonio and Waigo didn;t make the squad, but the key to the reletavie success they provided was that they enables us to change our shape i.e. to 4-3-3. Thats why we could score so many becuase of the flexibility we possessed. Pardew tried it today for ten mins, puttinf Barnard wide left? and finally after 80 mins gave in and made a sub, which Chamberlain and Connoly, parti with his movement made some difference. Pardew has assembled a good squad with some sensible signings. But too often he won;t change things and although I admire his sensinble approach in waiting for movement and the right moment; the facts are we need to get a couple of loans in and get a settled team and just get on with it. Lets not forget, no other team has had to deal with the death of their owner just yet, and missing a game so early in the season has certainly done us now favours. STAY PATIENT and KEEP THE FAITH WIFM COYR ETC ETC ETC

i would love to see a banner or a flag resident at this game and future games. Obvioulsy singing and selling out will be good and now there is time to get things orgnised for proper send off. Understand what some mean about getting down the stadium but not all of us live locally or can afford the money to get down.

agreed

i don;t think there should be a statue, that should be reserved for ted. Re-name the stand and lets make sure we give the guy a celebration of live and the achievements he made possible by making a huge tribute at the Orient game.
-
a good sentiment but perhaps better suited for a home game where we can have a proper tribute, perhaps with nice banner flag to show the message. He deserves it after what hes done for the club
-
Markus Liebherr RIP. All tributes here please.

He does lack certin qualities but despite what you say there is room for improvement, but there is no doubt he is currently an L1 player, which is where we are and therefor adequate back-up. His biggest problem, which perhaps can be misleading is that he is a very unitdy player compared to his partner Fonte, who, to the odd occassion, is the opposite of erratic. He certainly showed signs of improvement last season and think he should be given a bit more time to develop this season. Its nor easy for a CB to play irregualary then come in and gel perfecrlty with team-mates and simpley slot in.

would love to hear more songs for players, and still campaigning for viva Lallana, rather than the one about him being better than messi. Hear is one suggestion for Morgan; Morgan whereever you may be we hate the scum from Southsea he turned down the skates now hes a saints (suggestion....) repeat

Basically we need the crowd. Couldn't agree more. Yeah performacnes haven;t been great but come on, lets give it our ****ing all. sod the booing and negativity. There are going to be nervy points.and this may be one now. Norwich dropped 30 points last year and stil won the league. Lets stay bloody positive, we're in round two and have 40-odd leagie games left. COYR

I personally think this is a good move in terms of increasing revenue. The chances are we are on the up, and the further we climb the more we can charge and the more demand there will be. Just becuase Libehher has money it doesn;t mean there won;t be extra measures to cover high costs. Cortese is enabling the club to controls its own fortune more and make it less pre-determined. Good move? Time will tell. Back the manager, back the chairman.

This is getting rather stupid, not even just this thread. If people hear things from the club or people within it, they are well within their rights to pass on the information. Unfortunately, the minority who have a massive agenda against Cortetse seize this a 100% evidence. Yes some stories may be worrying but until anything drastic happens, what can we do? THe guy is a little bit head-storng but he is here to be successful and I have every confidence he can deliver, he also has a big learning curb, this was his first year in football and Rupert couldn't get it right after ten so lets ease off a bit. It is perfectly understandble that peopel are angered by some of his actions, the NI case for example. Personally I am annoyed about the isntallments as will now probably be prevented from going. All saying is this, lets try not to let rumours and stories create factions and unharmony and focus on whats should hopefully be a very enjoyable season, if not with a few stressful moments and remeber to have a little patience. The forum is great for a discussion, but I personally cannot wait for next week, where hopefully the football and three points will be all there is to discuss.

the squad looks good, we just need to possibly dip into the market. Hopefully these players will be fit for Saturday, although they will not be 100%, perhaps expectations should be lowered for the first game.
-
its also funny that saints player has advertised exclusive behind the scenes for the club 125, when in fact each employee states their job description and the obvious change over the last 12 months. Don't blame the employees, the idea was a good one but poorly executed. In terms of Cortese it is a little worrying and perhaps familiar. The guy is still learning his way into football. Lets give it a little more time and the benefit of the doubt. Apart from the ST fiasco he seems to be doing a very good job.

getting things back on track, found this on youtube, come classic European co-oridnation of OWTSGMI: -
don;t forget we have Lee Holmes back now which will be like a new signing itself if he is fit. Oxlade-Chamberlin will also feature more, so there is your pace and cover for wide positions, we can adopt formations and positions for Lallna and Punch
