Although I never played in any sort of high-standard of football I did play in goal and all I know is eventually no matter how good you are if you are playing for a team that you know is probably going to lose, is probably the worst team in the league and the only excitement you have in the match is guessing when you are going to concede the first goal and how many you'll save and how many you'll let in - well it's bound to get to you. He was definitely ropey looking last night and I think he is emotionally exhausted. Don't expect performances to pick up in the near future. Then we will see the strength of our goalkeeping department.....or rather you lot will because I don't give a feck anymore and I won't be watching Sky sports or looking on the PC or anything else. When I have the spare money I'll be off to watch ice-hockey like I used to or start up my painting again or reading a book or going to the cinema - I'll do anything to stop the virtually never ending, crushing, soul destroying banality of pinning my hopes on Southampton Football Club making me happy. The ****s.

Pd W D L GF GA Pts Gdif 16 1 7 8 13 22 10 -9 That above is our home record this season. That alone says good bye Championship hello Carlisle United, Leyton Orient, Walsall et al. If anyone think we will 'do a Leicester City' and 'walk this league' think again. I'm afeared that I will never see Southampton FC play in the top flight again or maybe even the next level. I'm 47 in July I should be happy that I did go to the winning FA Cup final and I did see a Southampton side that were exciting, entertaining and damn near invincible at home. I am sorry for any young lads who have only just started supporting the club in recent years as I did back in 1969-70. You have got some really crappy years to come. That's it for me. I won't even think about football anymore after tonight. I'm finished with it this season.

Does anyone at Southampton FC actually like anyone else at Southampton FC? Members of the board openly dislike each other and it filters right down through to the few people who use this board. It's all petty point scoring and a total intolerance to accept a point of view different to your own. Oh and it's Altrincham although it is pronounces ALL-TRING-HEM. Hee hee.

Yup! As usual most of the dead fact certainties posted on here are absolute guff along with the Hungarian friendly which was for a multi-millionaire investor to look over the Saints - no it wasn't it was to look at the 6' 4" centre back that Ujpest had on their books. Ho hum as it ever was......

All worker bees are non- reproductive females. Male bees or drones are simply there for reproduction and die after mating.

Most of the FANS on this forum are more worried about sinking into League Division Three and from there into League Division Four not going up to the Premiership! The 'king Premiership is a lifetime away, we're not even good enough to be a mid-table League Division Two side at the moment for feck's sake! Goodness me how you do spin your web.

It's funny how pros say the crowd doesn't affect them during a game because they're professionals and just 'get on with the game' or simply 'block it out' yet now apparently a lot of the club's situation is down to the fans. The club's situation is down the the coach/manager/bloke in the dug out who decides the tactics and the starting eleven and the players. Who employs the coach/manager/bloke in the dug out and oversees it all making decisions as things go on? No of the above is the 'fans' they're just the poor sods who pay an absolute fortune to watch the abject displays and then get garbage uttered that some it is their fault. I feel sorry for Saints fans I really do. I am glad I live too far away and I am too skint to bother with the 'match day experience' part of supporting Southampton.

4 Games In The Next 12 Days - How Many Points?
David Strover replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Are you kidding me? We can't beat our relegation rivals at all so Norwich will win 3-0. Swansea City are just all round a better footballing side than us and will truimph easily 2-0. Sheffield United we might get a point in a 1-1 tie and Watford....well with our recent record against them being so magnificent I can see a 3-1 or 3-0 defeat. We were already down before Wotte was appointed. Just get used to it - the end of this season and next season won't come quite so hard then. -
Never! He'll stalk the corridors of our Nationwide Conference stadium in chains......a shade. He's here forever.

If you don't mind that is gonna be a tee-shirt on my Spreadshirt shop - I love it and it sums up exactly how I feel!

JP's job is a close to a job for life as you can get. I honestly believe that no matter what the score of the Norwich City game or any other matches between now and our relegation he will not lose his job. In fact he we only lose his job if Lowe decides he's too expensive. Depressing but I honestly think it's true as well. We are due a feckin' big hammering by someone and that still won't see him get the sack. Funnily enough the top sides rarely thrash us so it wouldn't surprise me if Norwich win about 6-0! On that note - Hey Jan where is this game where we thrash someone then? You said it was due just before we went on our ten game slump! Tosser.

If it comes to pass it'll be the only time I've every got a football prediction and in particular a Saints one correct. Marvellous......

Lowe Is In A No Win Position - It Worries Me
David Strover replied to um pahars's topic in The Saints
I was wondering if there are any other CCC clubs that are on the brink of administration before the season completes? It could mean that we lose 10 points but so do about four other teams and if we manage to win a few games (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha) we could take the hit and still stay up. Now that's what I call clutching at straw......... It's all I've got though! -
Ultimately he is then responsible for the performance of said club or business no one else and in this case he has failed to act in any way be it proactive or reactive. He. Has. Failed. I also love the leader of the team saying, "...I THINK we are in a fight". Jan phone me up next time I could have told you that about three months ago as could most Saints fans. I honestly and truly give up!

One thing I don't understand is how come, or in the eyes of some posters, we are the only team in the whole football league with; 1. No money 2. Youngsters in the first team I don't think we are. Are all the other teams in the whole league in this situation bottom of the table. No. There's your answer. Incapable coach - players who aren't quite as good as we've been lead to believe. The board aren't even worth mentioning. We must be the only club in the whole of Britain who could be performing as we are and nothing changes. It is the 21st century not the 1960s if you don't produce the goods you 'used' to get the sack in modern football. Not here. I'm applying for the vacancy when it comes up again. I'm completely sh*te but I know I'll be safe for about two years and I also know the salary is way in excess of what I get now. Sorted.

I hope for the club's sake you are correct UP but I can't see the man admitting HIS idea is utter claptrap. Personally, and it's only my opinion, I think it's way too late now anyway.

....oh and anyone logging onto here or the OS looking for news of big changes and a new 'way forward' is going to be severely disappointed. There will just be some more rhetoric which will involve some hilarious claptrap from Jan about how we are possibly the best team in the division and even more hilarious garbage from Wupert saying how our youth policy is the envy of the whole league and if we stick at it we will come good and finish high up the table "....just look at Arsenal". he'll say, "they are sticking with youth and not splashing out in the transfer market, proof that my, sorry our, way is the correct way." He will also say the fans need to get behind the coach and the team and everyone is pulling in the right direction and it will come good. We will then continue to lose games hand over fist and get relegated long before the season is over. Next season Stockport County, Hereford United et al will be winning games easily at SMS and looking like bigger and better organised clubs than us. The future is bright, the future is rosy red cheeked and has brilliant business acumen.

The fact he has waited until we've played fourteen home games and won one and we are mired deeply at the bottom of the table looking (along with Charlton) the most likely club to get relegated to call a meeting (pubilicly anyway) shows how much of a hand on the tiller he really has. Pathetic. Wait until it's too late and act. Unless twerp.

I'm afraid this is indeed my real name. I use it so because I did not want hide behind a pseudonym and everyone can see who I am. Having said this I know nothing and post utter drivel when I can be bothered. I should be a Lowe supporter really....

Only a rumour, but it would be nice...........

For the record I think it is utter poppy**** like all the other takeovers since last season....
