  1. So what happened to Corp? Not that, even If he was still posting on here, he would have the balls to now.
  2. The South Stand Riverside Stadium!!!
  3. good luck. I was there three weeks ago. Great country and people. Don't wish to put a downer on your trip but be prepared it is very expensive. Admittedly I wasn't travelling on a budget, but I found generally costs were about 20 percent higher than central London (which is where I live). Exchange rate was about $1.46 when I was there compared with $2.50 a couple years or so ago. You will have a fantastic time I was there for a month which wasn't anywhere near long enough.
  4. Gut feeling he won't be playing on Saturday....really hope I'm wrong
  5. i take it you are dragging up old post like this and at least one other I've seen because you want people to now "look at me" and to see you as being so cleaver at slagging off others views because now you have the hind sight to show they were wrong....pathetic.
  6. the fire drill chant was funny a couple of seasons ago but not just sad
  7. You forget that this is not unique to Skates. A lot of small grounds are known for their noisy atmosphere. Typical example was the Dell. The media were always going on about the Dell, the atmosphere and the affect it had on the big clubs, our record against the top clubs was quite good. It was often quoted in the media that one of the reasons for our longevity in the top league was down to the Dell. Also speak to players of that era and many hated coming to the Dell because of the intense atmosphere and closeness of the fans. So don't get excited by your own hype.
  8. Friday - travel Uluru to Port Douglas, night on the lash with some locals Saturday - 4x4 up into the Daintree Rainforest Sunday - day out on the Great Barrier Reef Just your average weeekend.
  9. What league title win i the 1920s? or are you referring to their back to back title wins of 1948 and 1949. Need to get these facts right as well. or they will shiitte over you. You could quote Saints Southern league Champions for 1897 1898 1899 1901 1903 1904 Pompey won it 1902 and 1920. So when things were all even there was only one obvious club on the south coast. plus we made two FACup finals in 1900 and 1902. The Southern League is over looked by history but it was an important league and Saints had signed players for the football league and were the top southern league team. The football league only consisted of the northern clubs plus arsenal. So you could argue we have 6 titles against their 4 !?! Or am I clutching at straws.
  10. Touchy! As a kid I walked under it when it was being built. Had a look round the yard before leaving school because I was thinking of going into naval architecture. But I didn't work it on so who cares.

  16. In what way is it a 'magnificent piece of architecture'? It looks ok? But it will hardly go down in the annuals of architectural history. How does it stand out from many other modern stadia? What is original that hasn't been done before? You're the one mouthing off how great it is, now put some substance behind what you are claiming. And before you say 'Maginficent architecture is in the eye of the beholder' it is not. I agree compared with what you had it is magnificent.
  17. Did we score in the 1st half? Over heard a group of Brighton fans talking amongst themselves in the bus queue thought the ball was over the line.

  24. yawn. ask a stupid question get a ?!?!??!
  25. Doh! So in other words you were wrong. Goal difference counts not goals scored unless difference is equal. Don't worry it has only been this way since the beginning Association Football. Sometimes 148 years just isn't long enough
