Safe Standing Bill in Parliament - template letter now attached
Nexstar replied to bungle's topic in The Saints
Say the proposals were to be accepted and safe standing areas allowed across all leagues. How could st. mary's be developed to incorporate a safe standing area? -
Dickson was our best player Saturday I thought. And I don't want us to keep to 50/50 player in the most important part of what is supposed to be our promotion season. We need the likes of Dickson, Chaplow, Barnard who are experienced at this level and in the English game.

Walsall Weather Watch / Build-up Thread - Game called off!
Nexstar replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
Just seen the weather, no way will it go ahead. Looking forward to the Tuesday nighter though, I can make it now. -
I think Yeovil away was about the only game where he stood out for me, and that wasn't exactly hard. A 'worldie'?! Give it a rest, he put a free header straight at the keeper. Being hardworking when you're a yoyo off the bench is not difficult. Yes he has skill, but he does not suit our type of play at all. He made poor touches and passes on several occasions Saturday. But if he's hard working, give him a 5 year contract.

High five to that!

Not. A. Chance.

Greedy Stupid Unions (Main Board & Lounge all in one)

How were you planning to get to Charlton? The nearest tube station is 3 miles away from the ground -
Get in there Adkins, and if we do actually want another keeper then get the both of them!
-
Maybe fingers crossed for next weekend being off and get them on a tuesday night early next year. Nice to see Charlton are beatable at home
-
Think a few clubs might be sniffing around after Rickie, based on his form dropping off a cliff since last season. Could act in our favour - getting a new striker in and moving Lambert off the wage bill. (didn't think i'd be up for that 5 months ago!) Oh and Hamster must be lying, nobody enjoyed yesterdays game
-
Le Fondre or Austin would be great. We basically need a young striker who is as hungry as Barnard for goals
-
Ok, bar a higher team making an over the top offer to force us to sell, he should be made captain.
-
Yeah snow expected from Thursday through to Sunday
-
A striker, 2 if Guly goes back (fingers crossed) and another Chaplow-like CM. By that I mean one that makes useful attacking runs and can actually hit the back of the net. Feel Adkins needs to make Fonte captain ASAP as well.
-
What were the first 2?
-
Agreed, I have also pretty much had it with Lambert starting every game. Sure he was amazing last season and we all hoped after a poor start that by sticking by him he would come good again. That hasn't happened, and at the end of the day if a defender doesn't defend well consistently up to this point they have to be dropped. So the only problem that leaves us is who to go upfront. Guly was awful yesterday and Connolly is supposedly still coming back from injury. Who knows when Barnard will be back so we're looking at Guly and Connolly/Doble/Chamberlain. We need a striker in january
-
The Brentford goals were nothing special and they didn't play better. Richard Lee is a great keeper and make a couple of cracking saves in the first half. We need to be able to get results when key players (fonte, chaplow and barnard) are out, so investment is 100% needed come January. Kelvin was shaky and Bart therefore deserves to play next weekend. I thought Dickson had a great game and was the shining light in our team. Guly Do Prado was atrocious and HAS to go back to wherever the hell he came from in January. We missed players A LOT, and need much more strength in depth. Atleast Nigel was honest on the radio and didn't use the phrase "it's about winning games of football"....swings and roundabouts?
-
So they went to the pub after work and like football?
-
Why on earth would Swindon give up one of the leading scorers in this division AND money, for a player who has scored once in open play this season?! I think the pub says it all
-
A single adult ticket to watch West Ham v Wolves will cost you £36 and anyone else £21. Cortese would have a massive headache balancing 45,000 crowds each week against prices that will be attractive and enough to be financially viable.

BBC annoyed with Daily Echo over Saints coverage
Nexstar replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I don't think it's harming anyone and i'm not worried. Thanks for the concern though.
