  1. It's to make the Brighton folk feel at home. Rectangular ones are a bit too straight.
  2. I haven't actually seen the penalty, but surely if the whistle has gone and the keeper isn't ready, that's the keepers own stupid fault?
  3. Is that news from the ticket office themsleves? If so, thanks! No problem if true!
  4. People from New Zealand always have been a bit behind the times, haven't they?
  5. Erm, so if I'm living up north at the moment....what can I do? I'm not going down to Southampton just to pick up some tickets.
  6. Any ideas when tickets go on sale? Appears Donny have released them on their website, but no sign of them on Saints...?
  7. I agree with Jawillwill, but think Man United was a bad example (similarly any games v Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or Arsenal would be bad examples too). I'd guess last season there were probably in the region of 500-1000 complete "non-fans" in the stadium to watch Man United. I doubt many of these non-fans turned up just to watch west ham last month though. That's quite a commitment, but you should make a special effort to ensure you only go and watch us play sh!t, unglamorous opposition. Otherwise, you're a rubbish fan.
  8. That's what I thought...
  9. Thanks pal.
  10. That many? I thought it'd be less than 2000 given the size of the stadium?
  11. Are the tickets for this on sale yet? If so, does anyone know what sort of allocation away fans get (i.e. as a non-season ticket holder, will I be able to get a few farily comfortably?)?
  12. We have most points We've won quite a lot of games We haven't lost many games
  13. Not even 100? Rubbish.
  14. The pretty lady at the ticket office smiled at me once. It was lovely.
  15. In that both clubs will finish 17th in their respective tables this season?
  16. I've never heard anyone say that. What does it even mean?
  17. With the 1st round draw of the FA Cup taking place today, I feel this would be a good time to reminisce about the days when Southampton were in the hat for round 1. Seem to remember a pretty exciting 2nd half against Bristol Rovers a couple of seasons ago with Connolly getting a couple of goals in a 3-2 victory. Those were the days...
  18. To be fair, that's quite clearly some time before kick-off.
  19. I won't lie, I've only seen the football league highlights (which missed the majority of the build up from what I've heard), and although it looked a good goal, I think the quality of it was somewhat devalued by some terrible, literally school-boy defending by 'Boro.
  20. Was a bit harsh on Chaplow last season. Yes, this season he has been a different class, but he wasn't that bad last season was he?
  21. Working for me. Have you tried turning the volume up (I'm not patronising you...I made that mistake myself a couple of weeks ago...)?

  23. Was about to start a thread about this myself. Spoke to somebody at work the other day who does a lot of gaming (just to clarify I don't live in Southampton and the person I was speaking to is an Arsenal fan so I doubt very much he would have read it here) and he was saying he had heard rumours about the game being set in Nottingham. I'm not a massive gamer myself if I'm honest, but have always liked GTA which is why I thought I'd come here and see if anyone else had heard the same rumours. Would be great if it's true, because a British city would add a great new dimension to the game, without having all the cliche landmarks like Big Ben or the London Eye. As Norway suggested, Nottingham is world reknowned (even the Americans know it) as being famous for Robin Hood, so perhaps a stealing from the rich to give to the poor suggestion is a possibility. Just remember, the audience of GTA is not solely Americans-it has world-wide appeal. Personally, I don't know anything about San Andreas or Vice City (where even is that???), yet I still love the games.I doubt having it set in an English city would take away from the average Americans' enjoyment of it. It may even have the opposite effect, of enhancing the experience...?
  24. So it's your fault? You bloody idiot. If we had got relegated that year, I would have blamed you. And you alone.
  25. I wonder if JWP will get a debut for them as well?
