In terms of his rare on field performances, what has Forecast done so badly that everybody hates?-wasn't he an England U21 international at one point (I may have dreamt that actually?), so he most have some talent? The circumstances in which he arrived here are hardly his fault. OK, he's 3rd choice keeper and no many people have actually seen him play, but surely thats the same with all 3rd choice keepers isn't it? People didn't seem to hate Michael Poke (for example) as much, did they?

To be honest, I thought the first penalty appeal could very easily have been given. If the roles were reversed I'd have felt hard done by not to get one-and so would every other Saints fan in the stadium. That said, it was never handball. I'm glad it worked out the way it did though. if the first was given, it would have been a very nervy last 20 minutes.

Could we tempt Nasri to Southampton? It's quite clear that he is going to be leaving Arsenal sooner rather than later, and this evening Adkins has hinted at maybe one or two new faces arriving here before Saturday. I think the Championship would definately suit his flamboyant style of play but the prospect of top European opposition playing us next week could just swing the deal.
