Totally agree, if we're looking to strengthen anywhere across the back it's at centre back where we need to buy big. Traditionally we have had top class players in that position and currently Hoedt and Maya don't cut it. I would look to get a top class replacement for Hoedt, preferably somebody who is captain material as well. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I don't get it either to be quite honest. I've been to quite a few games this season and I've never noticed this so called lack of effort or passion that some people label him with. He's not the most vocal so perhaps the armband should go elsewhere, but in terms of his effort and application, it seems fine to me. I really hope we keep him for the long-term, you don't become an England regular by being a crap player. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I posted it to demonstrate that you were unassociated with Glasgow / Heisenberg, as some posters were assuming. Apologies for any intrusion, however your user name is easily googled which links straight to your Twitter. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Went with the consensus to be honest. Alex for player of the season, came in when we were in a difficult situation and confidence in front of him was pretty low. Did all the things that Fraser didn't - commanded his area, caught the ball, punched the ball, good distribution, made saves (some damn good ones too) - probably instilled confidence back into those in front. As for Goal of the Season - got to give an honorable mention to Mario at West Brom. We've gone one nil down early on and needed to get back into it. Me and the boy were in the away end right behind it when he struck it and you could tell straight away it was only going in one place - top goal and put us back in command. But got to give it to Sofiane, it was one of those goals that you remember for a lifetime. The only thing about it was that it didn't belong in that horrible, negative drab affair of a game. West Brom were as horrible as ever that day, wasting time, hoofing it, clogging players, and we were not much better. I think it was about 85 minutes when he scored and probably some had already left - damn glad I never, and it was a top goal. Everything about it, skill, composure and great finish - also it gave us 3 points. It's been a pretty awful season on the whole, but there have been a couple of highlights, so it's not all doom and gloom and we get to do it all again next year.

Maybe wide of the mark on this occasion. https://mobile.twitter.com/OkerekeEkon Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

You mean like he did at their place this season, when he came on for the last 10 minutes and promptly scored the winner for Stoke. 1st game back for VvD, Fraser actually saved a penalty but still Crouchie had the last laugh.

I don't single them out purely on tonight's 'performance'. They were the same when they came to SMS, nothing to do with being either uncouth or northern. It's to do with playing unattractive, boring, agricultural football. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Well done on staying up. But what an awful 'footballing' team, horrible stuff. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

This is exactly how it seems to me as well. The whole program smacks of desperation to me. The daily arsenal, what the **** was all that about, did Arsene Wenger **** Durhams missus or something? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Agree, but even the way MH has handled the Boufal situation has been excellent. Boufal is probably sitting at home tonight thinking what the hell have I done. I'm pretty sure that MH will probably try to reintegrate him, perhaps even against City, but the players will know that he doesn't bow to prima donas. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I lost all bodily functions for the final 20 minutes. Could only sit and stare at the clock and will it to tick faster. Games like that should carry a health warning. Well done to the manager, coaching staff, players and fans (brilliant tonight). Everybody at board level, go look in the mirror, and do the right thing. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Yeah, I thought that too, much more dangerous than when we were camped in our own 18 yard box defending for long periods...! [emoji6] Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Those few points would keep us up, I'm pretty sure about that. But there's no point beefing about it now. Time to go out and do everything to win 2 games, whatever. Do that and none of this will matter. -
This is exactly where I am. Great post. Of course I'll be ****ed off when we get relegated, but I've said it many time before on here, come the start of next season 11 blokes in red and white shirts will run out at SMS and the crowd will sing and cheer again. I'll be in that crowd, it's just part of life's journey really. Cue the 'typical lack of ambition' and 'we were nearly in the European places' posts, but for me we are where we are in the football pyramid - that's life.
