  1. Excellent, I bought two.
  2. Remind me, what happened last time we tried that....?
  3. Would tend to agree. Just because a manager has a relegating on his CV doesn't necessarily make him a poor manager. Didn't WGS take an equally poor Coventry City down before joining us, and he didn't do too badly. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  4. Exactly, that would be stupid. Just like writing a manager off after ten games as well. Oh... Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  5. JW comes complete with accessories, his own stretcher and wheelchair, no thanks. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  6. Decent shout, I'd second that. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  7. Yep - about the time I've been supporting and roughly where I would expect (if anything I thought a bit lower, but hey-ho). Amongst all the 'him out' threads I've always maintained that we are an average first tier team (or have been in my life time) so the table pretty much fits my expectations. Somebody will now come on and tell me my expectations are low, but that's not the case, they are realistic based on what it takes to reach the higher levels of the table consistently. Don't get me wrong, do I want improvement, yes I do, but also I know that, in the grand scheme of things, we ain't actually doing as bad as some of the posters on here would have you think.

Mate, it's Celtic, even me and you could keep them winning given the 'competition'. With all due respect to the 'sweaty socks' the standard of football is absolute dire and has been for years.

Which is a real kick in the bullox given the ref (and THAT decision in the first leg). Who knows what would have happened in extra time - the NI lads deserved at least that. That apart - I'm a great fan of Steve Davis - always puts in a shift, contrary to what others may think, I think he does look forward and try and play that way. Ok maybe not courted by the top clubs, but a very very good player nonetheless. A very good ambassador for the club to boot.
  10. You old optimist you...!!
  11. Which is quite close for us.....!!!
  12. If anybody shoots from outside the box they'll score!
  13. Lots of reasons why not, too old, too slow, way past his best, doesn't fit the club profile at all. We'll sign him.
  14. Don't know, but the relegation battle will, once again, be much more interesting than the title race. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  15. That's exactly what I was going to type - but it would mean somebody would have to score - any ideas...?
  16. Yep - I do, but these are not the 'good old days', these are the bad old days. Don't forget, just like my 14 year old son reminded me at SMS after the Burnley game "Gotta take the rough with the smooth dad". Alternately we could just sack everybody in the club from Les Reed down - whatever.
  17. Go there - keep tight - do a WBA and nick a point - job done.

Agree. When you say 'talk to the person next to you' - it was that quiet, I was sat in the Kingland and could probably have talked to anybody in the same bloody block. We have gone from one extreme to the other - there was really very little point in having the whole build up thing as it was so quiet. All a bit 'Sunday afternoonish' I thought. I much preferred the 'play it loud' approach - did nothing for the atmosphere at all. Ohhh and the clappers returned as well - but as the montage music was so quiet I think most stayed stuffed in the seat. That said, once the game started I thought the Northam sounded pretty good most of the game - well done them.
  19. I was a Puel fan and wanted him to stay. But this is a classic case of people believing any old hype in the media to prove a point. Other than something positive, what else was Danny going to say? Had he said something like, "I'm dreading working under a boring, slow and uninventive coach", then this may be interesting, other than that it's just the same old player / manager hype.
  20. That is obviously not going to happen, although when we were chasing a goal both at Stoke away and this week he did play up top for the last 6 - 8 minutes, and you're right he does look a threat up there (it may look that way purely because he's the extra man though) - but anything other than that is never going to happen.
  21. You're a detective aren't you. Did you work that out all by yourself or did you use your great big looking glass to track down the clues. I'm sorry, but I'm one of the incredibly stupid ones on here. Can you tell me exactly when he will be leaving?
  22. Don't think I ever said that we were losers, ever. Went to the game at the weekend and only saw one team trying to win it. Wasn't at all surprised to see that team lose in the end. Sat with my 14 year old son at the end, he said to me that we have to take the rough with the smooth, made me smile. The past is not holding us back, as you suggest, the present is. To make it simple for you, we need more money, the owners don't have it, we have to make do. Now you can rant on and on about how Kat had been very, very bad and pocketed all the readies again in a minute, but I have been more than happy with the progress and investment since her arrival. I am very glad to have a club, I make no apologies for that (certainly not to you). Loser no, realist absolutely. HTH. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  23. This. This is the reality of our situation. If you've followed the club for any length of time you should be neither surprised or to worried right now. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I think the more Premier managers that get the boot - the easier it becomes to pull the trigger. Problem is, who do you get to take over - you need the right man lined up ready to go. Some of the names mentioned on this thread are just frightening and others pure folly. Unless they have a gem in the bag I would stick for now.
  25. I thought Tadic was ok to be honest. Not only that but I also thought he showed a good attitude with regards to the urgency to score. Early on in the 2nd half he chased a ball that had gone for a throw to them and ran it back to their thrower, also did the same for a goal kick in order to stop the keeper wasting time (again). When he got sub'd he ran straight off to keep the game moving. Maybe small things - but things that show he had a good attitude to the game and knew it was important to keep the tempo high.
