Yeah, right. I'm sure that really happened. Exactly as you have written it. No doubt. In your head. Whose picking the team for the next game? Ralph.

Sell in January? No, keep to the end of the season and then sell to anybody but Liverpool. (I'm bitter and I bear grudges!)

We're gonna do a Burnley on them. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I tend to agree - I watched him pre-season against Wolfsburg and he didn't look at all great (although that was a bit of a mish mash team). I was skeptical yesterday when I saw the team sheet, said on the match thread that he was too lightweight. That said he was impressive yesterday, much better than I thought he was going to be, good energy as well, closed down all around the pitch. But I'm still reserving judgement until I see him doing it against a bigger and stronger side. Good start though.

Felt for the lad. You can cite all of the money shyte that you want to - but that's not why he left us. He left us (for a better team) in order to further his career. With that, comes more money, agreed, but that is not the driving force for most players. Morgan was an absolute top player for us and now it's all gone spectacularly wrong for him. Sad to see what used to be an accomplished ball winner and passer hardly manage to put his foot in yesterday. Personally I hope it all comes good for him again, if not at Everton then somewhere else.

Don't think anybody has said that on this thread. Relax and enjoy the win, you will have tons of opportunity to pour yet more scorn on him, I'm sure. But for now - we won, enjoy.

Totally agree, thought Bertrand was excellent today. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

So, as i was saying on the match thread, Charlie Austin is slow and fat, and PEH is far too lightweight...... [emoji850] Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Yep, I would prefer this option. PEH is far too lightweight, we could get seriously overrun there. Austin had been crap when he has come on as well. Not feeling at all confident about this. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories, but this actually occurred to me as well as i was watching it. They were waxing lyrical over every aspect of West Ham. The fans were great, the ground is great and the team were great (albeit only in the second half). Couldn't believe how overboard they went with it, it was actually getting quite cringeworthy and uncomfortable to watch. I've rarely seen Neville and Carragher heap so much praise on a team which managed a home draw against a pretty ordinary opponent. Was all very strange. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I can't make my mind up. I'm generally a 'stick' person, I don't like to gamble. I wanted to keep Puel and look where we are now. If I was to twist I dread to think where we might be in 10 games time. Then what do we do?

Aahhh thank you. Somebody on here 'triggered' me the other day, but having never seen it before, it meant naff all to me. Sometimes it's good to be old and crinkly as opposed to 'down with the kids' - you can be verbally abused and not even notice. Cool. Not that I'd give a **** anyway.
-
For the unititiated (ok i'm a bit dim as well) what exactly is this 'triggered' thing? What does it mean?

I think it's bollux. (Or not as the case may be). ? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

I have supported the club for almost 50 years. But for most of those years I haven't actually lived in Southampton (I don't now either) , nor have I ever had a season ticket. But I have always tried to go to as many games as I could afford, whenever I could. For me, i want to go to live games, but i don't really think cost comes into it, its more about the convenience of travel etc. It's a seven hour round trip for me to get to SMS so it ain't easy, especially when you look at how we've played this season! I won't be there this weekend, purely because it's live on sky, had it not been i would probably have made the trip. But if we got relegated, it wouldn't particularly bother me and I would still go to as many games as I could. I appreciate cost is a big factor these days and totally respect people who choose not to attend for that reason. But I really don't think people are actually hoping for relegation in order to get cheaper tickets. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

It is certainly packed with info - a thread not to be missed.
-
Are you sure about that bit?
-
No it's not. It's his opinion, it's what he would prefer to do. Just because it differs from you - it does not make it pathetic. There are many clubs in the lower leagues who will not reach the upper echelons of the premiership in their fan's lifetimes. It doesn't mean those fans stop supporting those teams, nor does it make them pathetic in mindset. Just because we have dined at the top table of the EFL doesn't give us any defining right to expect to be there. Fans expectations can and do change both for the better and the worse. Lowering expectations is probably what most fans have to do most of the time if truth be known, I think it's probably something to do with reality and realistic expectations.

Great idea for a thread.
