Gotta say I like B Rabbits effort, but none of the others are that far behind either. Can anybody tell me what software you are using to produce these banners please?

Tend to agree with this. Can't for the life of me imagine why Germany did this: http://www.skysports.com/football/world-cup-2010/story/0,27032,12023_6174582,00.html prior to the WC, don't understand the benefit of it at all...??!!!

This is probably all part of the bigger picture and NC getting ready for when we are playing in the Champions League after successfully completing the clubs 5 year plan.
-
But that's the point I am trying to make Badger - I don't know that. Let's summise again. She may have gone onto the beach, made sure that the baby had fluids, put a sunshade over the baby, used sun lotion to protect it, covered it's head and watched him fall asleep. She may have then inadvertently fallen asleep herself and in the meantime, the sunshade has blown away, the lotion has dried up and the baby is now suffering. On the other hand we could summise that she went to the beach, laid out a towel, plonked the baby down beside her and settled down for a good 4 hour suntan session, with not a thought for the childs welfare. Yes either way she was stupid to the point of negligence, but whether she meant to harm the child - I am not in a position to say.
-
Robsk I think that we are probably in agreement over this - it was an awful thing to have happened. But I'm not about to pull the trigger before I am aware of the full facts. Let's summise. She fell asleep on the beach, she took drugs which comotosed her, she got drunk and flaked out, she just didn't bother to check the child, she didn't hear the child crying and assumed it was ok - all of these things are unforgivable and toutamount to child cruelty and neglect. But we don't know the facts. She may have had a medical condition, there may have been other reasons. I would agree that, on first sight, she appears unfit to be a mother - and if that is the case then I am ready to come back here and not only pull the trigger, but let her have both bloody barrels.
-
If that's is what it takes to stop a child being hurt in this way again then sobeit. I would prefer something that is a little less of a burden on the taxpayer but equally as effective.
-
There are many levels of neglect. My son broke his wrist when he was about 2 years old because my older son, whilst playing with him tried to lift him onto a settee. I was neglectful in that I should have supervised them both - effectively it was my fault that he was injured. Should my son have been removed from the family home? I am not defending what this woman has done - I am merely pointing out that she may have been too dumb to realise the ramifications of her actions.
-
Let me just clarify one thing - I cannot abide any form of ill treatment towards children. What this woman has done is awful, and she deserves punishment for it. But, currently, I have no facts about what actually happened, and therefore would rather reserve judgement, before handing out extreme measures. (Removing the child). I cry at the thought of baby P and others who have suffered through neglect of thier parents or guardians, and who are then betrayed by a system that doesn't have the balls to take positive action when need be. I totally abhore any form of child cruelty. All of that said, in this particular case, I find it hard to believe that the woman actually meant to harm the child. Yes she was stupid, irresponsible and negligent and deserves what comes to her - but until all of the facts have been substanciated I need to reserve judgement.
-
I would tend to agree.
-
Could be a little extreme - I don't think that we should jump to conclusions just yet. Whilst it may be the case that she has shown a level of negligence, it is yet to be established as to whether that was willful. It would appear (to me anyway) that if you intended to do serious harm to a child, the last place you would do it would be in front of thousands of people on a pleasure beach. Perhaps this woman just needs more help as opposed to punishment.
-
Agree. I actually think that he is part of the problem with darts. In a attempt to drag it out of the 'pub game' genre and establish it's sporting credibility, he does nothing to enhance this prospect.
-
Sheer stupidity, a womans vanity almost costs a child it's life - hopefully she'll have learned a valuable lesson and forever on put her sons needs before her own.
-
Was that a weird thread or what...??? Went right over me..... Gotta say - I never cried though - after all he could still be alive, not have a gay brother and be in gainful employment somewhere. Man I was (am) confused...!

Well if he's as good at selling players as he is at buying he should be able to solve 90% of PFC's debt, and earn himself another nice bonus in the process as well. Come on Peter - let's see what you're really made of, lets see you sort this mess out.
-
Absolutely. Did you believe (know) that 5 years ago as well? Or were the alarm bells so annoying that you switched them off, enjoyed the Premiership years and FA Cups? If it is so obvious now - why not then?
-
PFC fans want answers about the test because of the state of their club now - simple as that. As would we if our club was in a similar predicament - we would want to know who allowed the owner to pass a 'so called' FAPP test. That said though - let's be honest now, are we saying that none of the fans worried about the fact their club was associated with, how shall we put it, some somewhat shady business people who dealt in rather shadey areas of errrr commerce? Or was it just easier to accept that fact, put it to the back of their minds, and just enjoy the fact that they were playing Man Utd in the premiership next week and off to the FA Cup final the week after. Yes there are some undesireables in the closset but in general life is good. Is that the fans fault, yes it is - they were willing to accept these things. Would we, or any other fans be any different, probably not - although events at OT might prove otherwise. As for budgets and proof of funds, I would go even further. All (well run) companies can give you the 'high and low' figures on a monthly basis, and I believe that all clubs should have to submit these figures on a bi-monthly basis for inspection to whatever league they compete in. Not a full statement of affairs, but a scalled down version showing major running costs and the top and bottom of the company. Had that happened then perhaps the flow could have been stemmed at 30, 40, 50 or 60 million as apposed to double that amount, perhaps the guilty could have been reigned in earlier, perhaps the FAPP would then be seen as somewhat more creditable all round. Hey but what the hell, it was nobodies fault.

With all due respect Cousin all you seem to have done is regurgitate the excuses made by Peter Storie and Avram Grant. Mr Storie will tell you (till he is blue in the face) that 'yes' he did the deals and 'yes' he attracted the high earners to the club, but he did it because he believed the owner was happy and willing to bankrole the deals. As a result he will also tell you that 'yes' he deserved a flamin' great bonus based on the amount of money he was bringing into the club. How the hell that works I know not. Mr Grant, on the other hand, will also tell you (again, till he is blue in the face), that it is not his fault, nor the players, nor the staff, nor the fans. None of them have done anything wrong - and perhaps he is right. But then again, people on the outside of the organisation can see straight away that there are problems, so are you trying to tell me that all of those most closely connected with the club had no idea about the state of play. The man takes the general public for fools. Let him (G)rant and rave - he's very very good at identifying the (allegedly) innocent parties, how come he has no idea about the guilty fukors, especially as they probably had an office two doors down from his. Honestly, you thought Lowe was a tool - this guy is a complete crettin. As for the FAPP - I'm not sure that money comes into it, at least I think that is the (official) line. I believe it focus's on your character and business dealings in 'whatever' area, as opposed to the size of your wallet. Mind you, that said, let's not kid ourself, being 'Mr Sceptical', and also seeing how some of the filthy money has filtered into our football, I think the people overseeing the FAPP test probably work for the same government department that oversee MP's expences. Frankly Cousin (see what I did there...!), it's getting time for the fat lady to have her say and not pull any punches, time to stop bleating about how innocent we are, how hard done by we are, how it wasn't anybodies fault and how nobody is to blame. The owners should have 'stumpped up' as you put it, either that or not bought the players in the first place - simple business rules. Cheat at your peril.

Just read this thread today and surprise surprise, there is a mistake on the second line penultimate word, the OP has typed 'down' instead of 'done', ruined my day FFS. One and a half bloody lines and he couldn't get it right, well done OP...!
-
And 9 points shy of third place as well, which is probably a bit of a p*isser for Forest fans now. Mind you thats the play offs for you I guess - come in 6th and get promoted, beauty if it's your team, but 3 teams feeling pretty sick. All of that said - well done to Blackpool. I think they'll be a 'one hit wonder', but lets just hope they enjoy the ride.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Star-backed-to-be-new.6312735.jp "Richard Hughes told the Portsmouth News: "Jamo is the person to go for. It's the move which makes sense to me. He ticks all the right boxes and would be the logical solution." So then, the likely boxes that need ticking: a. Managerial experience b. Experienced at working within a (very) tight budget c. Experience of working largely with kids who have little or no playing experience d. Experience of working for an owner who 'only wants his money back and has no desire to own or run a football club' Errr, yep - dead right Richard, it's totally logical to me as well....! :-k

Ummm, it's all over me, do you guys smoke stuff...???

Sorry - but you've confused me now as well, do you mean this Luther Blisset: http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/hemelhempsteadtown/?primary=senior&secondary=players_coaches&team_id= or are you referring to another LB that I am unaware of..?

Top place - my first son was concieved there...! See post above. P.S. it is actually spelt Dhekelia
-
Top place - my first son was born there...!!! Thus making him eligible to play for Cyprus, not that he's good enough to play for Cyprus like, but you know, if he was, he could. Wouldn't be allowed to play for the USA though - luckily...!
