If it were you and Woggy in conversation - I have no reason to doubt your record of events. I was only agreeing with AP in that various accounts of his leaving were posted here - most of them speculative at best. Whilst unwelcome, being laid off is part and parcel of most forms of employment and it is often those that are nearing retirement age that are approached first. I have no beef whatsoever with Woggy and would welcome his return. Tis the often quoted 'everybody knows' or 'it's common knowledge' post that annoy, when it is anything but the case, i.e. more speculation. For all I know, Woggy may have been happily retired with his feet up and just enjoying (if that's the right word after this season) watching Saints. But as you have first hand knowledge of his disposition I stand corrected, and as I said before, would welcome him back.

That maybe the case Wade, my son was recently laid off, for the second time in his short working life. It happens to lots of people and it is unfortunate, but as you can see just reading the thread - there are different interpretations as to how he was laid off. It may well have been an amicable arrangement - who knows - perhaps we should speculate a little more. Perhaps it's not the 'End of Story' eh?

Can't argue with any of that. Interesting also that so many seem to know him, his whereabouts, and/or his movements, yet nobody has actually asked him how he came to leave the club and whether or not he would consider returning. A very nice guy he may be, but appears to me that most are speculating at best at the situation surrounding his circumstances.

Errr right - so the good news actually is that we have managed to get into a 'league' with Chelsea, Everton and Aston Villa in it too...! Not too long ago we would have given them all a decent game.... awww well....

That aside, the fact remains that the policy of playing youth players was not a hidden agenda - it was widely publicised, and many fans thought that it would bear fruits. Rupert Lowe is responsible for many ills of this club, but in the early days of this youth experiment many thought that it would work.

That may be the case - but I seem to remember quite a few fans / posters on here pre, and early season saying that the kids would be good enough to get us promoted, to the play-offs at least, comfortably mid-table, etc, etc. It was always going to be a gamble, when you gamble there is always the chance that you will lose - just like we did.

The whole website looks like it was built by a 14 year old on a day work experience. Hardly exudes the sort of web presence you would expect of a multi million pound company. Lets just hope that 'look' and 'first impressions' prove decieving.

So would I if I was playing - perhaps the half time should be extended to 30 minutes to allow all you players a quick peek at what us 'punters' were posting about you all...!! Another thought comes to me as well, Dubia Phil explained on another match thread recently, of a botch to stream radio commentary by using and 'open mic' next to a radio and broadcasting it over an IM such as Skype. Perhaps we could all listen in to the managers team talks before and at half time using a similar system. Perhap I am pushing the bounds of technology here, or just making ludicrous technical suggestions - but hey SKY had to start somewhere didn't they...!!!

Don't know if this has been covered elsewhere in the thread, and it's a tad too long to trawl through, but.... Just as a matter of interest, although I am not involved in this momentus game, I was wondering if .comsaint was planning to cover the game and post match photos as he has done in the past on the match threads. I for one enjoy his 'live' match photos - would be good to have a match thread going for this one too.

That is very likely to be the case - and he shouldn't really have to go touting for buyers. We are a fairly high profile failing business at the moment and such people would surely already be well aware of our predicament - if they want to enter the bidding then I'm sure they will know who to contact.
