If we do cease to be, would you back a fan founded club formed in it's wake?
Micky replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Aaaahhhh so thats where some of the money went then - we sold them Baird but told them it was actually Bridgey - damn cunning plan from our Rupert eh...!!! -
Tis not the thread Sir, 'tis the title. As Stan has pointed out - you are 'guessing', 'thinking out loud' perhaps - but your title (especially as you are shouting half of it) is misleading in that it suggest you are ITK - when in fact err you are (regretfully for your readers) not!
-
He does.., he knows as sure as eggs are eggs that it will get dark at night. Surely you didn't click on here expecting an 'Exclusive' did you? C'mon now - how many real ITK'ers do you honestly think frequent this site eh....!!! But I take your point - we were both hooked by a very non-informative snippet really.

Have to agree with most of the above. I have been in riot situations and, like the police, have also 'pushed' people. But never did I for one minute intend (or think) that the protester would fall over and die. I think the Police Officer responsible for the G20 'protesters' 'fall' wouldn't have thought any differently to I - regardless of whether the 'protester' was guilty or innocent. Heat of the moment situation that went tragically wrong.

We were supposedly meant to storm this league after slipping out of the Premiership and yeah it didn't take us long to get out - unfortunately were going via the back door. We've heard it all before - 'we'll walk this (that, whatever...) league' - but unfortunately, a bit like some of our fans today, we can talk the talk but we cannot walk the walk.
-
Ummm so most of the Burnley fans now think the we are a bunch of dickheads too (albeit soft dickheads) - hard to argue really....
-
Wasn't there, didn't see it. But just reading this thread makes my stomach turn when I see the amount of people who post here and accept (not necessarily defend), but still accept, that this pitch invasion was no big deal. You appear unconcerned that we have that much of a hooligan element - this is the norm - is it? This club is reaching the depths in management and on the pitch - we are going down faster than the Titanic. Many on here have said that the (some) fans should take responsibility for thier part in our demise; those with such views have been met with ridicule by many. And now this happens - I take it all our fans are blameless though? We are reaching the depths of dispair, this club needs an overhaul from top to bottom and perhaps some of it's 'followers' should also realign their thinking too. There is post upon post on this forum about how proud people are to support this club - well I seriously wonder. Fans are the life blood of any clubs fortunes, and if you are not part of the solution then you can only be part of the problem - which are those that invaded the pitch? Proud to be a Saints fan - not tonight I'm afraid - bloody ashamed if truth be known.

Errrr talk about 'shutting the door after blah blah......' Have you actually checked to see how much some Premier league teams are actually in debt to the tune of today. Most are in debt to the tune of 10's of millions - how much sillier can it get...????
-
Perhaps then you should start to read 19C's posts, then you would realise that the drivel here: ...is totally misquoted and out of context to what was actually posted. Make your own mind up Stanley - don't let others do it for you eh..?
-
My sentiments entirely. MW deserves to feel the full wrath of the fans - but such comments are pathetically over the top and do nothing to promote us to potential new buyers.

The I'vwe come in from the pub aM i'M ****ED THREAD
Micky replied to La BoIS Saint's topic in The Saints
Stop whining - it's your round... get 'em in. -
If beating Coventry away constitutes us 'getting off to a flyer' at the start of the season then we'll need to go a whole lot better than that next season - 10 game unbeaten run will do for a good start and confidence booster. Ohhhhh we probably won't be seeing Coventry for a year or two yet though.... dooooh!
-
Nothing to be bamboozled about - we are in deep shyte - but like all fans, all thats required of you it to keep the faith. Not so confusing really - is it?
-
We could have the aerodynamics of an F15 Tomcat and still not get off the 'ucking ground... when was the last time your saw Saints get off to a flyer in any bloody season...!!! FFS...!
-
Never do a 'Leeds'...!! You've got that totally wrong - if ever there was a time to do a Leeds Utd it is NOW...! League 1 they maybe, but they get crowds averaging near 25,000 weekly. We need to try to emulate it in order to get out of this mess - do you think we will...???
-
Your last 5 words are correct...!
-
Always thought it was a strange time to sack JM, but it looks like a deal had already been done with Keane. Horrible mirky world of football....
-
Sorry - and we are meant to be getting upset about THAT. THAT was Police brutality...?? What utter bollux. The guy gets nicked - refuses to comply and it takes 3 OB to sort him out. Personally I think he should have been smacked around the back of the head, loaded in the meat wagon and carted off to the nick - no cerimony. I don't want the police having to sort out knobheads like this - I want them on the beat in the cities and around my neighborhood deterring real bloody villains. Police brutality my arse... the whole bloody country has gone totally PC. (NPI)
-
Not bad but: "I wish I'd gone shopping with the missus" is probably going to be closer to the truth...!
-
Somebody 'ave a word...!!!! You'll be claiming the morals of Mother bloody Teresa next....
-
Ahhh right - and you don't...???
-
Anyway guys, so I was thinking of organising a 'Forum Meeting Day', you know the kind of thing, were we all meet up and we can put a 'face to the forum' as it were, get to know each other, share a beer or two, laugh about the little spats we've had here... that sort of thing.... ummm maybe not then...!!!
-
Errr so we agree then...?
-
For me this is the biggest issue in football today - money. It is why we find our own club in its precarious position and the ill of all clubs operating outside of the Premier League. Until such times as the huge disparagy between the Premier League and the rest of the League clubs is properly addressed, lower league teams will continue to be forced out, al la Luton Town, Aldershot etc. Yes money makes the world go round, we are influenced by market forces and it's all a question of supply and demand. But at the end of the day - the rich are getting richer (and the League and Cup Competitions less intersting - we all know whose going to win them!) while the poor are being sent to the wall. What started out as Sport with a fairly even playing field has now become Business where only the 'fat cats' will survive. Bring back SPORT I say.
-
Good point well made sir. Never thought about it like that and perhaps neither did their Board - although you would have thought they would have conducted that sort of 'Market Research' prior to proceding. Perhaps they just assumed that with success the fans would come - unfortunately success never came and neither, therefore, did the fans. That said - I still hope that they survive and do eventually become successful. I think that it is important that every club in the league is able to have (and more importantly, realise) their aspirations to succeed.
