Yes I am aware of Saints Forever - posted there myself. I think also that RL will have learned lessons from his (alleged) participation. Having re-read you last post I can now see that what you said was that Lowe hate Saints Forever and not Saints forever..!! However, as I alluded to before - I really see little benefit to SFC staff other than to guage the hot topics. And remember we are not the majority - Lowe will pay us little credance - a bit like those who protested. There were 500 - 1000 protesting fans outside of SMS and 14000 'content' fans inside SMS - that is how it will be perceived by RL and probably those who hold no opinion either way.
-
Surely they will take his money and he will then be banned after his first post on a technicality...!!!!
-
Gemmel - I accept that he may of in past resorted to some sort of activity here - be it himself or via a 3rd party - I will take your word for it - I have no other evidence. I'm afraid that most of the so called 'facts' or 'factual information' that I have seen posted here is of sceptical origin to say the least. That said - I'm sure that 'staff of the club' do indeed 'pop in' from time to time to get some sort of opinion as to what is being said about the club. But we who frequent this board are not the majority of fans - we are the minority, therefore I doubt that too much heed is taken about most threads within the walls of SMS. I'm not too sure where you get the 'hate' thing from - I'm afraid that just makes absolutely no sence whatsoever to me. Any business man who works in a company that he 'hates' will either leave or destroy the company as quickly as possible. As we all know RL has shares in the company and he is probably really only trying desperately to hold on to those shares - turn the share price around, and not lose too much money into the bargain. The fact that he has made a total mess of SFC since his return is not here or there - I really don't think that he 'hates' the club at all. Bloody minded, misguided, overpowering - yes - but at the end of the day a businessman who has ****ed it up and is now desperately trying to sort the shyte. Does he really have time to attend to a few cyberwarriors such as ourselves at a time like this - I doubt it very much. If Nineteen Canteen has been hired to try to brainwash us all into becoming Pro-Lowe then I wouldn't pay him a dime - cause he's turned nobody as far as I can tell.

Ahhhh right so now he's back to try again is he...??? No doubt if NC keeps posting at least one of us will have turned from anti - to pro Lowe by .... errrr, well by, well maybe in a years time. Great use of resources Mr Lowe - one man sat trying to overturn the majority political stance on an internet forum. Any other real PR firsts you'd like to put by us?
-
Sorry Holbury but I just couldn't help laughing at this. Do you really believe that Rupert Lowe has somebody sat with a couple of hundred people on an internet forum trying to 'turn' them...? Even somebody who he had a hold over? What - is he bribing NC? You sound desperate for NC to 'own up - repent - see the light, vote Lowe out'. Listen mate, I really doubt that NC has any connection to Lowe, but he does hold a different veiw to yours - I would get used to it if I were you. Labelling people such as Bum buddies is probably not going to do your cause too much good either - we'er just getting over the Luvvie syndrome - so a new annecdote is probably not called for right now. NC may not be in the majority - but his views are hardly neo nazi - and they are more than relevant.
-
Sorry - but just who is stark raving mad? And just who is 'we all'. Are you talking for every single SFC fan in the world, all of those that march before matches, perhaps those that attend matches or maybe just the season ticket holder then? Such statements are pretty pathetic to be quite honest - there are many sides to the issue, and you claiming that yours is the only way does absolutely nothing to strengthen the 'Lowe out' vote. By all means give your opinion - but please don't just assume that everybody shares your opinion.
-
Glad to see that it looks like reaching a conclusion that we all hoped for - good luck to the lad, personally I would like to see him at SMS next year (to watch the football) - would go a long way to building bridges with apposing fans. Good luck to him though.
-
So after all of that fence sitting, can I ask, will you be protesting at home games for the rest of the season? FWIW - If I was in a position to protest - I would not. As I have stated elsewhere I am pretty fickle, and if the results are coming on the pitch I couldn't give two hoots who is in the boardroom. I think JFP pretty much summed it up in his post. BTW - Did the 'Black Rose' protest take place before the Cardiff game - and was it a success?
-
The "available" English managers -would you have them now?
Micky replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Win - yes, lose - no. That's because I am a fikklefukka - a bit like, well eerrrr every other fan that I know. The bottom line is that managers have different levels of 'success' at different times and clubs. Few managers experience extreme variations of success at the same club these days - unless they have gone from a low to a high (ala Roy Keane & Billy Davies), then are then offloaded as soon as the situation becomes problematical again. Gordon Strachan - a legend in our eyes - needed to take a serious M1 detour around Coventry on his way from us to Glasgow. Good ol' 'arry - Freedom of the sh i tty (sorry city) down the road, warrant out for his arrest here - a saviour in the making at Spuds. And there are many, many more. The point being though that most managers actually experience very different levels of success at different clubs and can be looked on in completely different lights. Therefore, I'll stick with what we currently have right now - until we lose again.... because as I said - I'm a fikklefukka...! -
Sorry - over me.....!!!!
-
Who knows - but would you have given us 9 points out of the last 3 games. Funny old game, football.
-
Sorry to sit on the fence - but we do both. Go for the win, but if we go behind - we stay in the game. Our away form has been good this season so there is no reason to panic. 3 points would be a bonus, but getting something from the game is better than getting nothing.
-
Calls it just about right for me. We are doing well, but there is a lot of work still to do to get us out of this mess. Hopefully neither he, or the players, will be taking thier foot off the gas.
-
Yeah - I had the same problem - crashed after second goal and then slow connection for about 30 - 35 mins. Therearfter - normal service was restored - all fine now.
-
Ahhh so you do do man management - those are some seriously tough targets to meet - I'm glad you're not my boss...!!!! Looking at those facts - I take it you don't rate too many ex Saints managers either - given that we've never won the Champoins league.
-
Totally agreed - t'was a tongue in cheek question though...
-
Ummmm but Docker won't be joining the chants though....!!! Wonder if he will join in if the chants are for 'Wotte out'.....????
-
Cardiff highlights here.... http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/Football/Championship/VideoIndex/0,,12555,00.html?mvnAssetId=3748994 Enjoy...

Interesting stance - you obviously don't do man management then. Your original post states that there is no way you will be singing his name at SMS - but in the same sentence calls for him to continue the winning ways. It does indeed prove though - that fans are indeed very, very fickle...!! P.S. I take it it's safe to say you're not enamoured with Rupert either then..???
-
Aye - it is that lad..... yeeeeesssssss....!
-
So just how long do you want him to keep it going for you before you will acknowledge him. Seems to me you want him to do the business - but you wont be acknowledging his achievements. Nothing like having your cake and eating it is there. BTW - Did you ever consider that due to the language barrier or perhaps cultural differences that you may have taken, whatever remarks he made, out of context and perhaps grasped the wrong end of the stick?
-
It is a good feeling, but I still think that we are still some way off recovering the true Spirit of Southampton. I last really felt like that when we were regularly turning over the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd - and just generally being the little club that could hold their own. We are still a long way from that - and there is still a very good chance that we could go down. So whilst there is an inevitable optimistic air about the club right now - I still wouldn't say that the Spirit of Southampton is yet fully recovered.
-
So you want him to do a job for you, but you don't want to acknowledge him if he does it well. Never heard of the good old saying - credit where credit is due..?
