Struggling with the arrogance remark, although not particularly surprised that its there. I too would like a serious buyer to emerge, but surely the more (serious) parties that we have interested - the better it is for the club. It opens more doors and gives us more possibilities to get ourselves on a sure footing for the future. Remember, no so long ago we were offered the SISU deal and decided (rightly or wrongly) not to accept it. Therefore the more options that we get over the next couple of weeks - the better chance we have of survival, progression and eventual success. Where arrogance fits into any of that - I am at a loss.

That is what worries me to a certain extent - how many tyre kickers are in the group? It would be nice to know that we had at least half a dozen 'capable' interests at least.
-
That may well be the case - I am unsurprised that so many people want to be associated (own even) SFC. But whether this is the success that we all want it to be remains to be seen. The speed at which you assumed the moral high ground was frightening - perhaps it is time to dismount your steed, wait to see where the club is in two years time and then you can gleefully trot out your 'I told you so' line. Yes, with administration, there is a chance for us to move forward now, but equally we could simply continue to fall into oblivion.

Although, I admit, most seem to concur with your opinion here.
-
Actually they haven't. I have actually seen posts which praise Euell, Skacel and Saga for their efforts today. Strange how opinion differs between fans who witness exactaly the same game isn't it...???

Investors unlikely to be put off by passion

Ahhhh and therein lies a problem..... -
Yes I was passing judgement - my judgement being that you were (are) far to quick to take the moral high ground with you usual 'I told you so' attitude. Was I passing judgement - yes, HTH.

According to the Echo report FlyBe clearly are considering that though, and as they are our main sponsor that is worrying. It wouldn't surprise me if other sponsors did the same - especially if, as is likely, we are relegated and hence our profile drops in the commercial areanas. That was simply the point I was making based on the report that was highlighted.

How's the Spirit of Southampton now ..?? - hope you drank it...!!!
-
Ohhhh lord - can I feel more blueprints and another consortium coming in for us now...!!! I can't take anymore - I really can't.....
-
Sorry - you've lost me there. The point is?
-
Quite sad that other professional bodies and businesses want to disassociate themselves from us.
-
Surely not....
-
Perhaps someone did - I did, and do, not. I am disappointed at some of them (as I have explained elsewhere) - I do not blame them for our current plight. Perhaps you could explain that in words of one syllabal to OSM - who seems to be able to understand Ra Ra Skirts (not sure what that is all about - perhaps some sort of fad down his way) but is unable to comprehend fellow fans frustrations...!
-
Would you get it into your thick head that nobody is blaming the fans - we are all aware of the many reasons that we find ourselves where we do. It may have escaped your notice but this forum has been littered with posts that include words and phrases like 'optimism', 'new dawn', 'fresh start' & many others besides. Today was a day to stand united - no matter what. It was quickly reported on the radio when that didn't happen - and therefore it will disapoint a lot of people - me included. I am disappointed with the fans (or those that saw fit to leave, even though as I stated before, that is their perogative) - I am not blaming the fans for anything. Got it now?
-
Not good - but on the other hand potention investors might see that we are a club in termoil and think that they have nothing to lose in trying to turn it around. Provided of course they have the required investment monies...!!!
-
Ohhhh right sorry - your right - the fans paid their money - they have the right to leave. I'm sorry - I was just under the miscontention that this was quite an important game for the club and the fans might, just might, all stay united - no matter what. I'm not blaming the fans - but you cannot escape the fact that some walked. Will we have full houses at SMS from here on in (as some on here seem to think that we would) - sorry mate, but I very much doubt it.
-
Your assuming then, that after that performance somebody will readily put thier hand in their pocket and buy us... perhaps we won't be around to see any 10 point deduction...!!!
-
Great advertisment for any watching buyer. Team gives up on the field whilst some of the fans give up in the stands - or so it would appear. Just when we were meant to be displaying all things 'great' about this club....!
-
If fans are leaving now - it does not bode well for full houses for the remaining games - nor does it look good for next season - wherever that may be.
-
It's worse than that - I've nearly lost the will to live....
-
What and lose 5 -1 at home - not for me thanks...!
-
Good point actually - the team is the bit that has been carved as thinly as possible during the course of the season and all the decent cuts were sold off. It is where the majority of investment is currently required. That said - I am still well hacked off right now.
-
Holy shyte - that bad. Cant believe fans are booing and leaving - looks like administration has sorted all of our problems out then. It's going to be a lot further down from here on and a long hard road back. Would somebody please wake me up when we have reached rock bottom - I dont think I can take too much more of this pain.
-
Anybody listening on radio - are we in the game - have the fans gone quiet...?? Edit: errr forget that - we obviously aint in the game, and the fans have probably gone home, never mind quiet.... Sheeeeeeettttttttttt...... boolllluuuxxxxxxx.....!!!!
