  1. Absolutely no idea at all. But I'm pretty certain that, as I said before, even Rupert Lowe is not about to go sending all of our young talent off to play in a league that has less coverage than ours here. He knows where his eggs are - and playing his best talent in Budapest is not good business either way. Whooopy doo - sorry for the sarcasm - but can any poster here put their hand on their heart and say that they had even heard of Ujpest until a couple of days (weeks) ago. Me - I often look out for the Hungarian results - errr actually no I don't. We may forge some link with them - this is not new - but it doesn't mean that there is a conspiracy where we let them cherry pick our best players. You need to get a little perspective on things - we played a friendly and have invited one of their better players for a loan period at the club, perhaps with a view to a permanent move - no more, no less.
  2. Errr so which is it - the Police will want to know if his information is accurate? Or the Police will want to know if his information is inaccurate? Either way all very dramatic really - I doubt the Police give two hoots what some numpty has written on a sparsely populated 'Football Fans Forum', honestly I really dont. I sincerely hope that good old 'Plod' are out catching muggers, rapist, murderers and thieves than pouring over some of this drivel, I really do.
  3. Nahhh the 9 o'clock bus is Budapest, we're loading a second one at 10 o'clock going to Russia...!!!
  4. Likewise it takes not the brains of an Archbishop to work out that any 'links that we might forge' will be used to our advantage. I really don't think you need to worry that we are about to ship our next 'Theo', 'Bridgey' or Gareth Bale off to Budapest, even Rupert ain't that stupid. I think you'll find that any 'asset stripping' that is done will probably only involve players moving to the UK. OK a few of our lads could go there for experience, agreed, but lets not get all hysterical about a tenuous link with a 2nd division club in the back of beyond eh?
  5. Tend to agree with both of those - no Saga no goals. Not really a dilemma, more a case of 'relegation resignation', if it happens....!!!
  6. Seconded - what she said. As for my first post - perhaps the Italian Alps is where you should all go to chill out for a while...!!!
  7. There's nothing like grabbing hold of nothing and making it something is there...??? Honestly some of the conspiracy theorist on here need to go take a break somewhere - your working too hard, or are you just looking for yet another rod to beat good old Rupert with. P.S. Heard through the grapevine that a bus full of 1st team regulars and the best of our accademy boys is leaving for Budapest first thing in the morning.... honest..!
  8. The next 'Should of gone to Specsavers...' ad is bound to be another 'blinder'..... (ahem, pun totally intended)

    Surman to Forest

Surman to Forest - hardly a huge leap forward in his career is it? Why would he want to leave his home town club at such a time - beyond me.
  10. No shyte Sherlock..!!!! Perhaps if it was an sms they will just return the call and nick 'em eh...!!!
  11. Fair play to you mate, who knows perhaps you will be the fan that is able to write that 'I found.....' thread that I alluded to on my last post. I'm still not convinced that the MLS is the sort of league that we should be looking to if I'm honest - too much time and space for my liking, whenever I see it. That said - I did see David Beckham play and score for Milan the other day - so it doesn't appear to have done him too much harm, but he is a case apart. I think we are too lightweight already with our kids - personally, I believe we need experienced CCC players to get us out of this mess, not guys with limited experience from the MLS.
  12. I think you'll find that a certain poster from here actually tried that with some cohorts not so very long ago, and found it not as simple as you suggest...!!
  13. Calm yourself men...!!! TT has been trying to flog us half the MLS since god knows when - I'm still convinced that he is on commission somewhere. I admire his passion for the game and Saints in general, but please don't make comparisons on his efforts against the rest of the forum and then have a pop at us. There are hundreds - nay thousands - of internet message boards covering professional football clubs. Go and see if you can find a thread from a fan that says 'I found our next centre forward...' or words to that effect. Clubs generally have professional scouts working for them in a 'scouting system' - rarely does that mean that they listen to a fan about 1 individual player who has played well in 1 game. I enjoy the banter with TT - but even he will admit he has history of forever flying the Stars and Stripes. I would suggest that if Tim is serious about any of his nominations to play for Saints he passes the details to the club - not to us here on this message board.
  14. Jesus is fine - but the docs are working on Le Tiss as I type.....
  15. Relax - I think he meant to post 'Le Tissier has a shot - and scores...!!!' Ohhh for those days again.....
  16. Of all the things that I have learned today reading the various threads - this is, without doubt, the most disturbing...!!!
  17. Whats changed - we are probably in a worse position now than we were 24 hours ago. All of the personalities that are charged with saving the club have be here during this fiasco - it's not a new concept that we haven't tried and failed at before. Brave new dawn - naaaah the nightmare could just be beginning....
  18. Odd maybe - but the fact remains that none of it probably helps us in our current plight at all...!
  19. I wouldn't expect the man himself to make an appearance, (as interesting as it would make the meeting...!) but if this thing gathers pace - then it wouldn't surprise me if he has an 'ear in the room' somewhere.
  20. Just a quick observation, but as this is being billed solely as a 'Shareholders Meeting', then Rupert Lowe would be also welcome to attend. Perhaps not 'welcome' then - but surely eligable?
  21. Got the best out of average players - thats what good managers do though.
  22. I don't mind him posting here - gives me something to wipe my feet on...
  23. Perhaps the money men at other clubs were more than savvy to our financial plight and realised fairly early on that what they pay 2 million for whilst we are not officially in administration would probably be sold off for a fraction of the price when we are are. The vultures are gathering...
  24. Fair play to the guy - would have been easy to discard your email to the rubbish bin and move on. He had the decentcy to respond explaining how his opinions were formed. Shall we still string him up from the Itchen Bridge...?
