  1. Lol probably saying the same thing then. TO be honest I'd rather have Boufal than either and then Armstrong. The rest though are just so embarrassingly poor it's not worth arguing about.
  2. This is basically it, yeah. But I have to say Redmond gets more of a free ticket than most and has never produced anything to suggest he's a competent Prem midfielder.
  3. More mess. Redmond doesn't actually have any pace. He's actually not that rapid. He also doesn't drag players out of position because they know he'll run down a blind alley. The only reason he's ever gotten a look in is because he's English. If he was foreign he would have been left out in the rain after his dismal performances with Norwich. Funny how Boufal was never afforded this kind of patience or loyalty. Also this isn't advocating the inclusion of JWP either, who's also average. To be fair both are average prem players and we are a below average team so we're getting exactly what we deserve but lets not actually pretend either are any good, we've been doing that for years and with little to show for it.
  4. He does indeed. There's actual substance to what he says as opposed to 'keep ball' and 'pass it'.
  5. Some do. Which is when his dribbling and wing play stats are also **** you have to probably conclude that really, he's a bit ****.
  6. Well I am glad you asked... He's played a rather pathetic 22 key passes (not xGs passes that is, still working on that) in 14 games, has a 50% shots on target ratio (a massive 5), and for all his 'pace' and 'trickery' has a HUGE 53% conversion of dribbles. The guy is bog average. Plain and simple. Oh and of course the two statistics all the sympathisers want to seemingly overlook; 0 goals and 0 assists.
  7. It's almost as if they see it as a challenge or achievement. Still, I'm happy that useless twot has gone. Some of the names doing the rounds though...eeesh. see statement above
  8. Be a lad and bring Mitchell with ya.
  9. That's exactly what will happen. It's the same pattern as last season
  10. Likewise. Usually a pretty apt website depending on who has written the article.
  11. Not a surprising read is it, but a sadistically funny one!

    Hughes OUT

Leicester was pretty toss as was Everton. So I stand by the comment that Swansea essentially kept us up by being more crap than we were just at the right time. We won’t keep getting that fortunate. And it was no more nightmarish than anyone else. Also, are we to pretend he has had a ‘nightmare’ start this season? He’s now a shi* manager doing a shi* job. And the names being bandied about would be shi* appointments too. If anyone (and I’ve seen Bruce being mentioned today to go along with all the other dinosaurs which is depressing) from our management board are seriously considering any of them then it shows how out of touch they are and how much we are no longer a progressive thinking club.

Don't agree with you on the other thread but right with you on this one. Swansea kept us up.
  17. It's 11 games in, we're not even in the bottom 3 and there is some absolute dross in this league in which we only have to beat three. It should be plausible to appoint someone with a longer term view, whilst maintaining our Prem status, and we should be looking at just about anyone else other than BFS/Bruce/WGS/Moyes who 'may' keep us up but then would expect a ****ing contract next year - and here we are again having the same conversation in 2019. It should be pointed out that all of those names above have been on the dwindle for some time. They also aren't the only people in management who have the ability to motivate, and thinking so is blinkered (and lead to this current **** heap)...in fact I'd say it was a bloody prerequisite of being a manager.
  18. BFS is precisely Mark Hughes in a different suit and a dinosaur from a different age. He might well have been a handy manager back in his Bolton days but football has moved on. This appointment would do nothing for our image or long term fortunes, and anyone thinking otherwise is also stuck in the 90’s. As for throwaway comments: Everton weren't facing relegation when he took over. They were 6 points above the bottom 3 having spent a sackful and were a formation change away from being competent in a bog standard league (they had just pumped West Ham 4-0). They'd also just played 14 games. Are we really not seeing the similarities between us and Sunderland. Stop appointing ****, out of work dinosaurs and try something a bit different. It might well backfire but I think in the long term it's for the best.
  19. We don't have a good squad. Our entire midfield is awful, Bertrand is the only saving grace in defence and we at least have two good goalkeepers.
  20. He started the first 5 mins in that role and he put a decent ball into the box. Then reverted to bog standard type. Every time he picked up the ball centrally he looked half dangerous; he also looks like he has some skills but he seems to do the sum total of **** all for the rest of the game. Can't help but think Boufal would have done the same job without the financial outlay.

    Shane Long

    **** me, I agree.
  22. That doesn't mean they are beyond reproach. A number of players are not performing, and Moi wouldn't be top of my **** list, and absolutely go along to games and support the team, BUT let's be clear; in the same way you are presumably paid to do an adequate job and reprimanded for inadequacies, so should Moi and anyone else for that matter. For my money the few that would escape unscathed would be McCarthy (mostly), Bertrand (for he's the only consistent bit of quality we have left) and possibly Ings (because someone has to score something). The rest are varying degrees of average (Moi) bordering on awful (Long, Hoedt - this weekend aside).
  23. Is that some top level trolling? Because if so, bravo! He was bought in to do a job, of which he is currently not doing. In fact I was quite happy with this signing but so far I don't actually know what he does well. I've seen him play in the Europa and he looked very handy but so far we haven't seen anything. Not the Shane Long running his ass off which everyone on here likes, no tricks or skills which some on here like, or any useful contribution towards goals, which I'd personally like. He's been bloody average so far. I don't think I've heard too much in the way of negativity towards him from the stands so he appears to be still getting the same level of support as everyone else but I'd expect someone being paid well to do his job adequately. He isn't so therefore deserves every bit of criticism coming his way. Could also be something to do with the way we set up , as he still seems to be doing alright for his country.
  24. This. He's dreadful, but collectively he's no worse than all our CBs. Calling for calamity Yoshida to start just indicates how far we've gone backwards...Even if he could do no worse. That said his out ball was crap but Hojberg has got it caught under his feet for about the third time already this game. Also where is SKD with his 'Lemina is good enough for top 4' BS.
  25. To be fair, both players are bloody dreadful.
