Agreed. I hope we can look to a bright new future....but I'm still furious about Pinnacle. I'm not usually spiteful but I do actually hope that Tony Lynham's business suffers markedly as a result of his duplicity and incompetence over this whole affair.

Sounds right to me. It still amazes me that some people think the first sign of the deal being sealed will be a tip off that "there's a press conference at noon/2pm etc". The story will be out long (hours if not a day or two) before a press conference is held (or possibly even scheduled).

The real delay - the annoying one - was the 21 days Pinnacle sp*nked up the wall. I really do think this Swiss thing will happen - probably in the next 48 hours. The continual refrain that we're "nearly there" is starting to grate though.

if you want to know when a press conference is/is not happening.....u can phone the Saints press office.....(albeit not at 2am!) There is nothing "secret" about press conferences. At least 95% of press conferences "trailed" on here by supposed ITKers are easily rebutted by a call to St Marys. They are usually scheduled between 12 and 24 hours in advance. That said, in these sort of circumstances, I wouldn;t be surprised if e.g. an 8am statement was followed by a press conference a few hours later. However, it's hard to work out what the press conference would be for. The new (putative) owners are quite probably not in the UK and there may be a delay until new manager etc is announced anyway. If there is news later today, it may just be a written statement.

I fear it's all too good to be true.....but am more than happy to indulge in another round of hope over expectation...
