Are Senegal (or wherever) still in the top 50? If not, Greg Dyke would like to ban him from playing for us at all.....

I always knew Cork was better than Wanyama. It's good to have the "proof" :-)

Bloody marvellous first half today 11/10. 2nd half....hmmmm...meh....game was won I guess. 6.5/10 Overall, he looks damned good in the last 3 matches. Think I'd prefer to have him over Rickie.

Franny is my all time Saints hero. I'm afraid though I won't give money to Cancer Research UK because they use (some of) the money for political campaigning, rather than actually researching cancer.

I'm up for protesting, that Geordie team was so ****, we should have won by 8 goals at least. Give me a placard. Now.

How many more are big enough to apologise?
SaintBobby replied to corsacar saint's topic in The Saints
When the cost of fretting and complaining is basically zero, you can expect many people to fret and complain. This is why internet fora are so intense and shouty. Lots of noise and no signal. In their more reflective moments, people like Alpine know that they don't have the slightest clue about how to close deals quickly in a transfer window. None. He has no experience or insight whatsoever in his area and no one has ever decided to pay any money at all for his views or advice. Not a single person and not a single penny. Anywhere. Ever. In the history of humanity. This is, however, no barrier at all to him commenting on the transfer window. Nor should it be. But we can just blank out such views. If they had merit, they would be paid for them. -
Redmond in for £8m. No one out. Profit of £35m+ this summer. Thanks.

So, so pleased. That has assuaged my fears no end. Delighted Pelle is coming good. And we absolutely must keep Morgan.

Fascinating thread. Truly enlightening.

That was pretty dire stuff.

That substitution now looks diabolical...

I reckon it's a must win match. Even this early in the season. It really is....:-)

Like it. Just the player we need. I don't begin to understand the £. In 20 years time, it will be £20trn for a player

Beyond mad. Just no. Does any remotely sane Saints fan want us to buy him? As I say, beyond mad...

Katarina Doesn't Want To Invest Anymore In The Club - Krueger
SaintBobby replied to Pastor Patrón's topic in The Saints
Love the way the term "invest" is used in general, and on here ....it actually means "spend". This evening I "invested" in 5 pints of beer and a hamburger. I nearly considered "investing" in super-sizing my McDonalds meal. But I think that would have been an "investment" too far. -
OMG. This forum is now just beyond belief. The trolls can't even really be arsed anymore.

Possibly the worst ever subject tile for any thread in interweb history....

At the Brighton game, both Wanyama and Fonte split their shorts down the crotch. Wanyama changed his shorts at half time. Fonte's wardrobe malfunction happened in the 2nd half and he manly played on without a change of kit. Was the thing the two girls I was with were most excited about in the entire math.

Very good performance indeed, albeit against an utterly dire Brighton team. Big upsides for me: 1. Wanyama was utterly dominant, ran the middle third of the pitch while he was on and now seems to be able to pass well too! 2. Isgrove (90 mins) and Targett (45 mins) both looked very good indeed. 1st time I've seen either of them play for any measurable period. 3. Tadic. Flashes of real quality. 4. Clyne - amazing in the first half. Basically a lethal winger. 5. Steve Davis - maybe he will a sung rather than unsung hero soon? Downsides: 1. Pelle. Not awful. But a bit meh 2. Cork. Not his best game ever....looked a tad off the pace. 3. Design flaw in our shorts. Both Fonte's and Wanywama's split at the crotch!

I fear we may struggle this year. But please, please can we top his "asset stripping"nonsense? If you have £100m worth of players and sell them, your asset is worth £100m less. This isn't a cunning plan to sell all our best players and hope a new buyer fails to realise we are now short of laying talent. If you sell a part of your assets for £20m your overall assets are now worth £20m less. I hope this is simple enough for the non-mathematical posters.

William Hill stop taking bets on Saints relegation
SaintBobby replied to lumuah's topic in The Saints
I think we're a good bet to be relegated. If you can still get 20/1 on us finishing bottom, those are good odds
