It seems the team are just trying to wind up everyone on this forum by conceding poor goals then scoring! Still think we can win this, certainly making hard work of it though! It'll go awfully quiet on here though, especially if Osvaldo scores again!

Benteke dropped for Villa, they shouldn't carry much of a goal threat. Think we're in for a low scoring game

From a neutral perspective it's a massive price. In my mind it should be around 11/10 Saints and 5/2 Villa.I've had a nice lump on. Villa also 11/10 with a one goal start which covers the draw too.

I think we've done as well as anyone could have possibly hoped for. We've had a bit of luck with injuries (up until now) and the fixtures, and it's going to start getting tougher, especially with all the Christmas and New Year games. Personally, I can see us losing the next 4 games, which is a shame after such a good start. I still think at the end we'll be looking at 9th/10th place. As has been mentioned, Cortese might not be happy with it, but it really will take a lot more just to even get into the top 6, the last two games have shown us how far off we still are. However, this is as good a team as I have seen us have for the last 20 years, so let's be grateful for that and hope we can continue to pick up some more good results.

A fair summuray, but more possession and shots is a bit irrelevant when you lose 2-0. We were well beat yesterday by a better team, but I was disappointed with our attacking threat, Osvaldo in particular. We defended well enough first half, but I always felt we would go on to lose the game. Some really tricky games to come this month, I think we will have a better idea of where we are at after the home game against Chelsea

5/1 on Villa is massive, have invested profits from today on it. Without Boruc I would be very surprised if we get a result. 2-1 Villa

It was a definite shirt pull, not the first time Fonte's done it. It was a penalty by the letter of the law, it's just referees seem to be rather selective when deciding to give them

Here's a more simple way of looking at it, would we have conceded more goals this season with Davis or Gazzaniga in goal? IMO yes. Boruc is a bit of a nutter, we know that, but on the whole he has been one of the best keepers in the league this season.

About 10th. Would be very surprised if we get more than 2-3 points from our next 5 games. Looks like our toughest set of fixtures and the games will come thick and fast in December

Pretty much spot on, 7th is achievable but would require a monumental effort. I predicted 10th and would be happy enough with that.Us turning into a top 6 side could still take a few seasons.

Very bad news, lucky I had a big bet on Arsenal.

Our next 8 games up until January all look tricky. The games will come thick and fast, so I'm worried whether we'll be able to keep up our form with the way we play and the lack of squad depth that we have.I wouldn't expect to get more than 6 or 7 points from the next 8 games. I still think it will leave us lying around 10th place, which is hardly a disaster

Cleverley is awful, it must feel a bit awkward for him knowing that he's an automatic pick for the squad without doing anything of note on the field each week. I'd rather Lampard and Gerrard followed Terry and Rio into retirement, they've had their shot at glory several times and failed. It's time to freshen things up. As it stands, I can see Rickie going, 50/50 Lallana but not J Rod. Clyne also a possibility

Feel sorry for J Rod, we won't be seeing him in an England shirt again. Lallana has done well, he's impressed defensively too

Think they're both too nervous, don't think either will be on the plane to Brazil, sadly

Hindsight's a wonderful thing. It's easy to criticise posts from back then, but who really predicted we'd be where we are after 3 years? It brings a smile to my face to think that was just 3 years ago, incredible.
