For me it's simple, if the youngsters are good enough they should be given a chance to be in the squad. If they aren't then we shouldn't just put them in there for the sake of it.

It's funny how right up until the last minute nobody knew anything about this deal, yet there are three ITK claiming deals are going on. It's almost like fake links are put out there to distract them from the real deal that is happening! Love it!!

West Ham want to spend big on a forward almost as a sign of look how big we are now we have a big staduim kinda thing. Problem is they are just bidding for anyone now it seems until one will accept the crazy offer.

Seems to be a push this season to bring in promising youngsters from overseas, and develop them on ourselves. A good approach to take, especially if the kids currently in our youth set up aren't at the expected standard. We can only bring the youth into the first team set up if they are good enough, which based on last season seems like theren't are too many at the level needed. I suspect some will go out on loan again to try and develop at a lower level.

Spend £10M on a player ready to go straight into our starting line up or buy 5 under 20 players for £2M each who would go into the development set up?

I think there is a bit of a shift to buy in a few youngsters to improve our u21's and genuinely push for starting places. No problem with giving youth a chance but not for the sake of it, they have to be good enough. I don't think we really have that with the current crop.

I love how people right coaches off just like that. How many people know anything about his coaching style or methods? Give the team a chance, seriously people.

Is the reason some people aren't excited about Puel being our new manager because he isn't a big name based on his own footballing career? If we were on the verge of appointing Dennis Bergkamp, and he had Puel managerial record would everyone be wetting themselves in excitement? Being a good pro footballer doesn't make you a better manager.

We just have to accept, that our approach is buy players for upto £15M, play them, improve them, sell them for £20M+ and then reinvest that money back into the squad. We won't keep hold of them because we don't play in Champions League or/and pay £100K+ a week wages.

So with VW and Mane going, thats £45M in the bank. That should allow us to bring in 4 players to improve the squad. Redmond is already in so £34M on a replacement for VW and strengthening 2 other places. Get those signings right and we will come out stronger again.

And to get the player sales done so it looks like he has a big transfer pot to spend.

We don't have anyone to replace VW, not like for like anyway. I expect what will happen in Mane will be sold and then a new manager appointed. He will be given the sale money from both to then go and improve the squad. Lose 2 and replace with 4 i imagine. We seem to go along the lines of having a stronger squad but no superstar players. We turn them into £20M+ players and then sell. Then the process is repeated. I expect us to pick up a few 18yrs and under players this summer to improve our youth set up with the aim of bringing them through in a year or two.

His contract with city expires at the end on June, I guess nothing stopping him agreeing to take over somewhere else and then starting on 1st July.

We we already have Watson and Lee so I guess the new manager can bring in an assistant and one other to replace the two that went to EFC
