Probably is the case, looking at getting his replacement in first before commiting. Would we be better off sacking him but only getting our 3rd or 4th target? Maybe not, but 1st or 2nd then probably worth the change.
It's easy to say I know who our prime target is but I'm not going to tell you or tell you any information about it. It's very much a look at me comment. Share information or it's just an attention message imo
Weakening our already weak creative side of the team with Jay Rod out and no addition. A defensive midfielder and 2 centre backs.i would be disapointed with that.
The powers that be will know whether CP is staying or not, and if not they will have already been putting feelers out for a possible replacement. So i would expect the CP decision to come next week if he'll be leaving and hopefully a new man in place within a few weeks so they have the full summer to plan.
Watching spurs tonight made me realise how good MoPo has got them playing. Can we bring in a manager who can get us playing that way too. Pressure, breaking with speed, shooting outside the box, scoring goals...
It does, it was to increase the squad size. We may have ended with a weaker starting 11 but a stronger squad. Now the squad is at the required size i would expect to see improvements made.
If Puel goes it won't be because of results. Top half and cup final is a good season for us. If he goes it'll be due to style of play, off the field performance ImO
It's the southampton way.. let one name be out in the press while actually working on another deal behind the scenes that the press and public aren't talking about.
I think that's because we planned to play a different way this year. When we switched back i feel it was a case of making do. Hopefully it'll be addressed in the summer window.
Just out of interest, why is there quite negative comments about our possible new major owner?
What are you basing this on? What do you know about their plan and intention for the club?
Do you think KL would sell to someone who would undo all her and her late dad hard work?
Maybe cut them some slack until we have actually heard from them and their plans.
I assume it's to ensure the run the club in the way agreed and if they do I'm sure the remaining 20% will be sold too.
You would think there would be investment criteria attached to the investment surely?!
