A bit harsh, things are progressing but it's not as though Guan, AR-10 or myself are actually involved in the deal so can never be exact as to when a deal will be completed. the announcement might not be as soon as the ink is dry on the contract. Photos and videos etc are often done ready to go along with the announcement so might be announced the following day etc. Look how long the Pogba deal rumbled on before actually being announced.

Following reading this I dropped a text to the guy I spoke to at the weekend. We are still on track with our signing, it's being held up as his club want to have their offer on his replacement accepted first to avoid paying more for him. Still hopeful of weds/thurs.

Just spent the evening with a couple where the husband works for a sports management agency. A couple of bits of info: Contract offers are progressing, Cedrics the most positive so far. Hopeful of a signing being completed this week, likely by Wednesday. Would be our most expensive in terms of transfer fee of the summer. Attacking player, who if they do as well for us as they have done for their current team then we will have another gem. I didn't know much about them (but had heard of them) but seems to fit our "signing type"

For me it's simple, if the youngsters are good enough they should be given a chance to be in the squad. If they aren't then we shouldn't just put them in there for the sake of it.

It's funny how right up until the last minute nobody knew anything about this deal, yet there are three ITK claiming deals are going on. It's almost like fake links are put out there to distract them from the real deal that is happening! Love it!!

West Ham want to spend big on a forward almost as a sign of look how big we are now we have a big staduim kinda thing. Problem is they are just bidding for anyone now it seems until one will accept the crazy offer.

Seems to be a push this season to bring in promising youngsters from overseas, and develop them on ourselves. A good approach to take, especially if the kids currently in our youth set up aren't at the expected standard. We can only bring the youth into the first team set up if they are good enough, which based on last season seems like theren't are too many at the level needed. I suspect some will go out on loan again to try and develop at a lower level.
