I'd always expect the first bid to be rejected. If you were buying a player and they accept your first offer, to me i'd be thinking, ah maybe we should have offered less. First bid go in lower than what you are prepared to pay and test the water..

Adkins mentioned 1 or 2 gk's. I think he was always confident on getting Gazzaniga in, i still think the other one is Butland we are after. Least we have a backup keeper that isn't Forecast now though. I guess in an ideal world he could do with going on loan to a Championship side to play at a higher level than L2.

I can't see him being able to get the right back spot from Walker, so just depends if he is happy being back up or not. As his age i think he would be wanting to play first team football, hence why he went to Norwich last season.

IMO it all depends on what further signings we make. At the moment our centre midfield options are Hammond, Cork, Davis and Morgan. Therefore Hammond will still feature next season, if we sign further centre midfielders then i believe we will look to move 1 on, in which case i think Hammond would be the first of those 4 that would leave.

Least Butland didn't say no, perhaps a nervous laugh as it's possible...?
