  1. http://www.cricketcoachgame.com/ Shame there hasn't been any more ICC's, and this years console effort is only an international offering. Nice, 'cos you can play the Ashes but at the same time, I did enjoy playing the county format on previous series...
  2. http://s7icky.com/more-lady-gaga-ding-dong/ The evidence is stacking up.
  3. omg, defo a lump there Might have to retract my earlier comment
  4. Lol. I would absolutely love to have her sit on my face.
  5. Agreed. I remember when Burley went and I wanted Davies simply because he would unify the club and city and instill a us against the world attitude. Something we've sorely missed in recent years.
  6. I do not care how we get out of L1, or for that matter, the CCC if we get there. Davies Preston side actually played some decent stuff, it was only at Derby and latterly Forest where they played to their strengths. If you are limited to poor but effective football, I know I would rather be going home from a football match pleased we won as opposed to being frustrated angry that we played well but lost. In fact, that's the most galling way to lose. Boothroyd, Davies etc would give you that. Coppell, Keegan, Hoddle and Strachan would give you better footballing sides for sure, and effective. Tisdale arguably so too. People like Ince, Shearer and Adams will serve you a disorganised mess, GUARANTEED. You can tell quite alot from the way a team performs; whether the manager has the dressing and secondly, whether he has any tactical nous. None of those three has ever displayed that. Ince is a gob****e and Blackburn proved that (though admitidely at Macc done well), Shearer is a gob****e who talks a good game and panders to the fans as 'no-nonsense' like Pearson but really isn't cut out for it and Adams is much the same.
  7. Doesn't surprise me, he's got his head screwed on tbh. I don't hate Rupert rabidly and I concede he made mistakes, big ones. However, I don't consider him to be anything other than genuine with his intentions. Anyway, let's not get into that. He's probably spot on about the cyber warriors... I have to say, it infuriates me too. Though I contribute, one of the most annoying things is the lack of balance in opinion on these boards... people just lose the plot sometimes, completely. As for the Saints player... Brian Howard, Cyprus?
  8. Nothing wrong with being optimistic but some of the names mention in here makes me wonder what League people think we are in
  9. I don't mind, plenty on here are worthwhile contributors and they do make for good banter, to be fair. Still haven't got used to being the poorer relations (so to speak) of them, but deep down, I think many of them know what we went through (after all, they had a pretty rough time at some points in the past twenty years) and I'd be very doubtful if any of them really, truly wanted to see us go out of business.
  10. FWIW, I have more animosity towards Bournemouth than I do with the Skates. Reason being is that Portsmouth are understandably our traditional rivals and are to a certain extent, forgiven for their hatred towards us. The feelings mutual, and its natural that we both dislike eachother. Bournemouth, however, act up like they are the Skates' little brother. Will always remember their incessant begging in the past but they were very quick resort to the 'scummers' jibes when they temporarily got back on an even keel. I can accept banter and hatred from Portsmouth but from Bournemouth, no.
  11. Oh dear.... and their away support has waned over the years. 107 to Boro one time, wasn't it?
  12. We have a 32,000 seater, FMPR. You are quite right, we are not restricted... However, however, what with Portsmouth's residents earning on average more than Southampton locals AND having a Premier League football team to boot, surely these are the days you've long had wet dreams about? Being able to outsell small, little League One outfit Southampton? FWIW, I read in FourFourTwo in a back issue that you had planned a 'space-age' stadium back in 94, can anyone shed any light on this? Genuinely interested to know what the design was like back then, how much it would have cost and the capacity etc? Serious question...
  13. Anybody got Portsmouth's league attendances compared to ours in the last 20 years? I am sure it would make for interesting viewing. Portsmouth, even though they are 2 divisions above us will probably have a lower average gate than us next season LOL LOL at Corp Ho.
  14. I think I am going to turn my photoshop on later....
  15. what about...? http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/e3/e/AAAAApfL1ZcAAAAAAOPhDg.jpg
  16. It is
  17. Volz is quality..
  18. Making excuses for your poor crowds?
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/8147852.stm
  20. John Hartson is a nice guy. Hope it's not true
  21. Hmmm... If you could name your 14, who would it be? I have to say, I think it's time we started giving some promising county prospects a chance. OK, now, in the middles of the Ashes isn't an ideal time to blood them but maybe, just maybe they will be inspired to shine... Surely Hildreth, Trott, Moore, Foster, Rashid and Patel are worth a shot??? Damn, we've never replaced Trescothick, have we? For 2nd Test Strauss Cook (though I am tempted to suggest Moore) Pietersen (moved him up to 3) Bopara Collingwood Foster (Gah, going for the specialist wicketkeeper now...) Flintoff (if fit) Swann Sidebottom (though I am tempted to keep Anderson, just think there is more fire in the belly of the likes of Sidebottom) Onions Harmison (Once again, a **** or bust decision with Harmy but I honestly think he is someone that can **** up the Aussies) Also, read alot of about a Josh Cobb of Leics and Bairstow (Wk) at Yorkshire who promsing prospects... can anyone shed any light on these talents?
  22. Me. I remember being on my way to football and thinking: 'good, he'll give them the kick up the arse they need'
  23. I thought Wotton would be a leader, but I've kinda change my opinion now. Being in this league means we won't just need 1 arse-kicker, we'll need almost half a team full. As wrong as it sounds, if the young 'uns see the arse-kickers, ahum, leading by example, it'll benefit their game knowing if they get clattered, they'll have their team mates steaming in behind em...
  24. Lol, he'd be so bad it'd be good.
  25. You'll notice that. Um professes not to demeaning but if you scratch a little beneath the surface you'll see the true intentions coming out. Look how he repeats and puts emphasis the subject of mental health... I think he is poo-pooing you, 19C. I also think he is trying to indirectly allude to your problems to everyone so that people will think of you as less credible. Naughty Um. Naughty!
