Fantastic!

I really don't think he would vote against it, but.......... I would absolutely love it if he did AND this led to club being wound up BEFORE the cup final which was then cancelled with Chelski just being given the cup. I would enjoy this not only for the obvious reason but also because it would be a slap in the face for the FA!

I raised my (now 5 year old) daughter for the first 2 years of her life. I am also the one to stay home wih her when she is ill, when her kindergarden is closed and I look after her all weekend, every weekend. (I now teach English at evening classes, so am mostly free during the day.) IT IS THE MOST REWARDING THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE! Okay, our situation was undoubtedly far different from yours. I had recently retired from the RN before she was born, so I receive a pension which is pretty good money for over here. At the time I didn't spesak any Russian (and am still poor at it, to be honest) so it was a lot easier for my wife to go back to work than for me to find something. Also: I enjoy cooking, and consider myself to be quite a good cook; I find going shopping, especially for food, quite a fun adventure (it helps to improve my Russian and is especially enjoyable in the summer months); I have no problems doing the housework; I adept with an iron, which I usually wield whilst watching some sporting event (or possibly a movie) on TV; the whole experience has made my daughter and I very close; I honestly believe my wife and I have a stronger relationship because of all this. Of course, you will need to weigh up your own situation to see if this will work in your own family. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

My thoughts too.

Strange. I was thinking him, and the post you have quoted, a couple of days ago too. I remember feeling stunned when I read his words. I hope you're still with us Snowballs.

They were winning when we were winning and the pressure was still on them. I honestly don't believe we would have caught them (as I admitted to a HT supporting friend) even if we had won all of our last 10 games 5-0. They have done well, all credit to them for that from me. Personally, as a team with a decent set of supporters, I would rather see them promoted than Leeds, Millwall or Charlton.

Here we go over this old ground again.............. IMO, it would be a disaster if AP were to leave. A new manager would want to bring in his own players, his own backroom staff and to impose his own style on the team. He wouldn't want to be known as someone who acheived something (if he does) on the back of AP's signings. This means rebuilding everything AGAIN. This takes time and would (again, IMO) lead to us having a slow start to the season. A clever person learns from past mistakes. An even cleverer person learns from other peoples mistakes. We, Saints, have made this mistake far too many times in the past. I will also make a prediction that anyone who says they would not be too bothered if AP were replaced would be some of the first slating the new manager if we are not at or near the top of the table 10 games into the new season.

Unfortunately, not totally rejected. Merely put on hold for now. However, we can be proud of one thing; apparently it was the League 1 and 2 chairmen who stood firm against it. Most CCC clubs are for it as the proposal gives them a gauranteed £2.3m per season (up from between £0.75-£1.4m). No surprise that greed is also rife in the CCC and not just the prem. There is no way that this can be good for anyone except teams being relegated to the CCC. It will effectively mean more and more them yo-yoing from prem to CCC with very few other teams being able to ever get to the top flight. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/cc_championship/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/10/04/29/SOCCER_Football_League.html

So, if 112 is our record, only 4 more to equal and 5 more to top it. Cheers, gives me something to look forward to in the last 2 games!!

I'm pretty sure Antonio's contract with Reading ends in June. If reading want any money for him they have to offer him a new contract, which I think they will (if only to get some cash, as we will surely want his services; or someone else will). At the end of the day it is simply down to him. Either: he wants try again at Reading (personally, I doubt it); he wants to stay with us (quite probable); he wants to try his luck elsewhere (possible, but unlikely IMO). Either way, the future is in his own hands.

That was a master-class in defending a lead from Inter. Only one shot on goal in the entire match FFS. However, as soon as the red card was given I wanted Inter to win it. My prediction for the final: Bayern to win 3-1 with a brace from Olic and one from Robben.

Storrie IS DEFINITELY a member!!!!!!!!!!

But he won't get his hands on it. PP=£32m in 4 payments: £8m in Aug 10; £8m in Jan 11; £8m in Aug 11; £8m in Jan 12. Poopy owe football creditors somewhere in the region of £20m, which has to be paid before the start of the new season or no golden share. The PL will pay the PP directly to the clubs owed, just so no one else can pocket it. Chinrai's £14m + £20m football debts = less than the PP; I guess he would make a small profit if he also pocketed the £5m? TV money for next season and the possible £8-10m they will get in transfer money, BUT he would have to front up the rest of the football debts to get this. I feel it would be much easier for him to just fold the club and build flats (plus a squash court) on FP.

That was absolutely superb. Real lol moments!

DM on Solent/Saints Player saying he doesn't think Reading will let him go. I thought he was out of contract at the end of the season? Sign him up!!

Seriously, I do think you need to be careful about travel. The last time this volcano went off it lasted for 2 years, which was followed by its big brother erupting! Having said that, I agree that the Amalfi coast is fantastic (if it's just you and the missus). For further abroad (but look into alternative means of transport other than flying direct from UK) how about the Black Sea countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine; or as others have said, Turkey or Egypt. I am sure you don't need me to tell you that August is the most expensive month for holidays though, and also the busiest time with many tourists. For example, most of Italy are on holiday then so driving in the Amalfi area is a nightmare in August (been there, done that, never again).

Fully agree. I sincerely hope they will be fined at least 50k for every match he (or any of the others not played for 'financial' reasons) does not get selected for. I doubt this will happen though.

Nice touch. Well done Jason.

And the irony is that they were on their way to commemorate the anniversary of hundreds of senior Polish military personel, and others, slaughtered at the hands of the Soviets during WWII - 1940, I believe - (something which had been denied until quite recently). RIP to all those lost, in both sad events.

we would now be in a play-off spot. Given the summer we had, and the start to our season, I think this is the best we could have hoped for. I am still holding out hope of us making the play-offs (especially after today's results) but feel this is more heart over head. All in all though this has been the most enjoyable season for a very long time. And I am certain that if we don't go up this year (which really is a very outside chance) then next season will be a fantastic one for all Saints out there. What's more, anyone who thinks AP should be replaced falls into one of the following categories: a) mentally challenged b) clueless c) a skate d) a wind up merchant What thinkest thou, to any of the above?
-
I'm watching this match on a German channel. A completely cracking game and I am amazed there has only been one goal (written with 2 mins to go). I have lost count of the amount of times both teams have hit the woodwork, had shots cleared off the line or a 'keeper has made a great save.

Lol, And it's only what they have been doing with regard to Dindane.

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/cc_championship/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/10/04/04/SOCCER_Middlesbrough.html What a neck! Poopy bleating about M'boro POSSIBLY not paying 1m owed to them when Gary O'Neil makes his 100th appearance (he is currently on 99 and is not in the 16 for today's match). After the way they FAILED to pay moneys owed on transfers and refusing to pay Dindane (so they don't have to pay out 4m) who are they to complain? Especially as Boro have not done anything wrong and say they do not intend to reneg on the deal. CHEATS!!!!

IMO it should be to somewhere already well into their season, so that we can build up the fitness levels against players already 'match-fit'. With that in mind, my choices (in no particular order except for the first) would be: Belarus Poland Ukraine Lithuania Latvia All, apart from Belarus obviously, are in the EU (so no visa problems for fans) have many budget flights to/from and are (compared to the UK, Sweden and Norway) very cheap places for accomodation, food and booze. (Oh, and all very easy for me to get to of course.)

Te only problm with this theory is that Chinrai WAS paid the 17m from AG's frozen account. It was this money that he (through Portpin) 'loaned' to PCFC (through the mirage's company). This is why some people might think it was all a ploy to get AG 17m from his frozen account and for Chinrai to then asset strip the money back from PCFC. The same end result as your theory, I'll give you that.
