So what did he wreck?

Me too, like it says, the academy and training ground is his legacy, it's very fitting and means a lot more to the future generations of players.

no mate, I'm pretty sure some of the people welling up and gushing with pride today were the same ones slagging the club and it's owners off all summer. Great to see a united club with the fans happy and behind the team and board, like it or not even under Cortese the fan base wasn't united, it is now, apart from the wierdos with personal agendas of course.

Agree with Strawlock, (PMSL) Fonte has been pretty good and has been one of our best players for the last season and a half. Maybe Liverpool signed the wrong centre back....
-
Bump this thread as after todays Staplewood stuff it seems "Dorkish" was bang on the money again. Despite all the grief i got over the summer and even on this thread.

and be worth about £25m??

I wonder if the same people clamouring for Lambert to come back are the same ones who wrote Pelle off after 30 minutes of his first game? Leaving rickie where he is, his a legend and will always be, I'd hate to see him come back as a bit part player and a shadow of the one we remember so fondly .

This is acceptable if she milks you.

He never said that it's pretty obvious he never said anything like that CB fried. What's he's saying is that with those results are good enough for top 5 and we should be aiming for that, with a a chance of top 10 but a likely realistic position of 2-16th. Or something.

I presume this is someone you know in real life, otherwise how would they know who you are? Or did you go up and say 'hi I'm pap from the mongboard' to numerous people until you met a fellow poster, or perhaps you had your user name on the back of your shirt?

Only accept criticism from people who are better at it than you are. Hence why your opinion is irrelevant squire.

In the 70s we took their ends In the 80s we took their city centres In the 90s we took their pubs In the 00s we took their mongboards

Just like the days when you use all your posts in a day talking about me, hey pal.
-
Everyone thinks they're a top boy until a top boy comes onto the thread.

The early 00s were the golden time mongboarding though. You could run riot for days on end, having large groups of posters really going for it. The amount of times the banter crew would come on here and take the p*ss was ridiculous. Now the mods have got heavy handed with infraction points and bans meaning that it never really goes off on the main boards any more so you're best off looking for it in small groups on the bigger threads or on the lounge. People talk about Barry Sanchez and Glasgow as the top boys of today but they wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in the old days. The problem with a lot of the youngster coming through is their more worried about post count and avatars than actually having it. You wouldn't get then wading onto a stadium expansion thread outnumbered and taking on MLG and Franks Cousin for example. They just want to be see on threads looking like they want it but always looking to the mods for protection. The good old days are gone I'm afraid and if you play up these days you're risking a ban so whilst you do get the odd good row now and again it'll never be like the old days and why Essruu had hung up his keyboard only showing now and again. At least we can look back at the old threads and laugh about them, saying 'I was there' taking liberties on the seating threads, something the posters or today will never be able to do.

Just shows how much we are giving the ball away with the amount of tackles we are having to make to win it back. Also only an average of 2.4 shots on target per game so we're conceeding more than one in five of those, pretty poor by any standard. Just you wait until we face someone decent our lack of ball retention and poor goals against v shots against will bite us on the arse.

Hasn't he started at AC Milan yet? They've been tapping him up for years.
-
They did indeed. Always remember watching them play inter Milan in the San Siro with 10k Ipswich fans there feeling very envious. Although they didn't go down, they went down because whiskey George signed greats like Findi George.
