  1. Are the board still procrastinating our way to the championship?
  2. Shaw to stay?? http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/482524/Luke-Shaw-set-for-Southampton-stay-as-Man-Utd-eye-Blind-and-Chelsea-track-Schennikov
  3. Don't know, but it was the standard post career job for a 70s soccerballist. Used to see him in the Dock of the bay a fair bit in the early 00s.
  4. As would I.
  5. If Lallana had won people would use that as evidence as to how Hodgson got his team selection wrong.
  6. Let's hope not, its dreadful. In any case it's also going to be used for Harry and Leslie read next season too.
  7. It's the consistency of your arguments that I admire so much. On the one had 'the dinlows' don't think pace matters, yet 5 minutes later admitting that ability in an effective system overcomes direct running and lack of finesse. Arguing the case for the slower Adam Lallana to be picked ahead of Wellbeck, arguably the most direct runner in the side, because his positional sense in that role is better. I think you'll find my 'dismissal' of pace is no such thing and much like your trying to get you banned statement completely made up, but that's no surprise.Rather I've championed constantly is to sign players with ability than simply pace as we simply can't afford players who have both in abundance. Remind me what Steve de ridder and Micheal Antonio are up to these days? Two players we were assured by some were amazing simply because they were quick. It seems you're stil struggling with it though, which is no surprise. Let's hope Roy goes for the direct running of Wellbeck ahead of Lallana against Uruguay, or something
  8. The difference being holland had pace and outstanding ability. Danny welbeck is no Arjan Robben.
  9. so finesse when harnessed into an effective system over comes pace and direct running with no finesse Something about the dinlows on here. Right out of the top draw this one sunshine, well done
  10. In fact you could say it's our best tournament performance since 2004. We've been pretty dreadful in all of them since then.
  11. Id have Peter Rodrigues personally
  12. Another one that amuses me is the indignation that Clyne should start for England. Just to be clear I rate Clyne very highly, however he's been kept out of the saints team for large parts of the season by an 18 year old. Can you imagine the meltdown on here if any player from any club in any position was starting for England after being kept out of their club side by a teenager in his debut season. Yet when its one of ours he should be a shoe in for England ahead of first choice players in clubs that finished above us.
  13. Hilarious how everyone was claiming that expectations were low and everyone thought we'd struggle to get out of the group, yet now as expected we've narrowly lost to a decent side everyone is in meltdown about how sh*t we are. Granted, a few players shouldn't be near the squad, Rooney was awful apart from his one cross, left Baines so exposed time a after time. He's only in the team because of his name and on current form shouldn't be in the side. If there is a worse right back than Johnson in tournament then I'd be surprised. Thought the rest did okay considering their ability, which before the tournament started loads of people claimed they now realised yet as soon as we lose yet again to a top footballing nation is quickly forgotten and the usual witch hunt starts, with of course *insert saints players name* as the answer, what is the question?
  14. Niether had Bony and whilst he's a few years younger he also cost more.
  15. How long before the Northam end tell him he looks like a wotsit?
  16. She says she's got me on ignore so can't see it, so why does it matter? Nobody quoted the initial post about her living in Italy once, just the one about the Amalfi coast which was nothing to do with her and me recommending what was considered by some to be a good trip. So she either saw the first post or arrogantly assumed It was about her, even though the other post wasn't. either she's a lair and saw it or full of herself Thinking I was posting about her based on nothing more than her ego. Either way not good traits. Loved the line 'now attempting to shut me upa nod stop commenting on something I know something about' I meant to be on ignore, how can I shut her up if she can't see what I post Now playing the usual homophobic bully card to mask her own faults
  17. So we got our first choice who is a bit name with experience. He's been given a decent transfer budget and the board have held firm not to sell anyone until the new manager is appointed. Let's here it for Ralph, Kat, Les and Gareth.
  18. Just having a drink with a few Dutch lads from our Amsterdam office. They think Koeman is amazing, a great manager to develop kids, play good football and with his name in the sport and our reputation as a top 20 club in Europe, back by an ambitious board then we'll be able to attract players to the clubs better than we could have hoped. They think he'll take us up a level. Opinions hey!
  19. It wont be Koeman, the board are incompetent and not capable of appointing a decent manager. They're procrastinating our way to the championship. They are acting too slowly. The deal hasn't taken a little bit longer to be announced because Koeman is on holiday, it's because the board are useless and dont know their arse from their elbow.
  20. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11681/9336972/brede-hangeland-slams-fulham-after-being-informed-of-release-by-email
  21. Half an hour later is not immediately. I also posted about the Amalfi coast, which was nothing to do with our favourite dungarees wearing, cider supping former italian based footballer.
  22. That's because there are no wind up threads mindy. This is a serious forum for serious posters.
  23. I thought you had me on ignore? Such a huge sense of self importance, don't flatter yourself princess xxxxx
  24. It's a fantastic job for whoever takes it. If the players leave then he can claim there was nothing he could do to stop them but he'll get the cash to spend on building his own team, if they stay he'll be thought of as the man eh kept our big names. It's arguably the best time ever to take the saints job. A fan base whose ambitions have been tempered after the pipe dreams and lies of the previous CEO and not the intense pressure of unrealistic targets that said CEO claimed. a progressive club with a fantastic board behind him and the chance of a clean slate to build his own team with a potentially huge budget. You have to ask who would be stupid enough not to want it.
  25. A fan is for life not just for Christmas?
