Check you political allegiance; an interesting test.

You seem to want to have your cake and eat it sunshine. One minute me saying we should have played a strong side on Wednesday night to win the cup which you equated to me saying playing young players don't matter now and they won't make the first team if we don't now you're saying, well it only helps a bit. See you can't answer how much Luke Shaw benefited from playing against Stevenage last season, so Which one is it? You seem to be struggle, must be all those straw mans arguments confusing you.

The 2013 Stalker Check Survey - Name and Shame Time

If you're wondering who I am look no further than the mirror. -
I think he wants his cake and eat it.

More brilliant mboardery. If we don't play them in the league cup they'll never make the first team. If we play them in the league cup they are guaranteed to be first team players due to the experience. So is Shaw only in the team because he played 90 minutes against Stevenage last season?

Anyone else nervous about the wheels falling off?
Turkish replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Don't worry about that, 4th place is inevitable now we're out of the league cup. -
Luke Shaw is only in the side because he played against Stevenage last season.

What are you on about having my cake and eating it for? I was one of the ones who before the game said we should go for it and play a strong side. Either we didn't want to win the tie or were arrogant to think a second string side would win away at a premier league side. You're making things up again aren't you pal.

What confuses me Is that despite the constant reminders, in dismissing the league cup as beneath us and Micky mouse clearly a lot of our fans have forgotten where we were 4 years ago!!
-
So you'd refuse to go to the final if we got there then, dismissing it as worthless but would be queuing and beg stealing or borrowing a ticket wherever possible to see us play WBA in the last game of the season to decide if we'd finish as high as 7th or as low as 10th?
-
Surely the only individual trophy that is worthy of us now is the ballon di'or for which lambert, Lallana and Rodriguez must be serious contenders.
-
I quite agree. One of the best posts I've seen in the last week proclaimed in his eyes it was 'champions league or nothing' considering we aren't going to qualify for the champions league then the nothing consolation prize seems a bit hollow. One trophy on 128 years yet the majority seem to be turning their nose up at the prospect of another instead they'd take a couple of places higher up the table. In truth what is the difference between finishing 7th and 10th in real terms? Maybe a million or so worth of prize money and a few back slaps from the media but that's about it. Yet some would happily take that over winning the league cup and having our names ingraved on the cup forever, it's a bit odd IMO.

No one likes a teachers pet, when he's captaining Chelsea to the champions league in 2023 he'll say his bullying at saints made him the man he is.
-
No mate, sod the Mickey Mouse cups if it was the difference between finishing 8th and 9th.
-
I find it quite hilarious that some of the mugs on here described swanseas season as boring despite them winning a cup, finishing 9th and playing some great stuff, yet would happily swap that for no trophies and finishing 7th.

Not going to say anything else in the clubs own literature is he.

Next youth player to break into the first team squad
Turkish replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
I thought this was going to link nicely into another golf and beer story, where you did both with another Harrison, Harrison Ford, who knew everything there was to know about saints and you spent the whole night necking zambuca singing the Jose Fonte song. -

Been very impressed with Harrison Reed both times I've seen him. -
Cheers frank, that explains it a bit better, you see we can get on I thought it was steep as a few years ago I had a company car, Golf TDI and was only paying about £100 a month in tax. Having looked at the figures more closely wages and allowance wise I'll be slightly better off with the company car, but my fuel allowance is currently 38p and mile and will be 16p a mile if I opt in, so I do quite well from the fuel allowance too and this has covered all maintenance, tyres etc with a few grand over so far but I've had nothing go wrong with it yet, which will inevitably happen the older it gets. Some people say opt in and some people stick with the allowance and in a year the finance will be paid and I'll have a year or so left where the allowance is profit before I hit the 150k Mark and really need to chop it in. Still not sure what to do!

I've always got time for that sort of humour pal.

A few helmets tried getting that going at Barnsley, you were probably too p*ssed to remember. Utterly embarrassing.

Is this the pint from Plymouth away some of us are still waiting for?

So what have you got today now? Lallana and jay in, the 3 you mention not, is he reacting to the media or not?
