  1. LOL at the commentator 'that's certainly a booking' if that happened today there would be 'outrage' and calls for lifetime bans.
  2. You don't have to justify yourself to me mate, as long as you can live with it.
  3. The only player to have started out at a top flight club and ended up playing none league, right? We've never had an academy player that we've sold on who has gone down the same route.
  4. There has been a lot of spectacular horsesh*t written over the years and the ever growing snowball of it shows no sign of slowing down. The mongboard version is f orecast was part of the bale deal - even claim on here we swapped him for Bale, utter bulls*it, he signed for us the year after Bale left for an undisclosed fee so common these days,no suggestion we cashed in our Bale selling on fee at this stage even if we did bale was hardly setting the world on fire at that time, of only Lowe had had his crystal ball put and known that 5 years later Bale would become the worlds most expensive player. On that note also fair play to spurs for helping us out, they didn't have to do it, again would they have known how good Bale would become? At one point they were even prepared to sell him, undoubtedly for much less than they paid us for him. He was a 21 year old goalkeeper who had made Spursbench several times and was a star player for their academy, given how much some of you bang on about our academy players then surely on paper this looks the perfect signing for a skint championship club to take a punt on. It didnt work out but its not the only young player signed by a club that hasnt. Still don't let that detract from the bullsh*t and rewriting of history when it comes to this player. Another Mongboard myth invented by our football manager geniuses which is based on what they imagine happened not what did.
  5. Its not so much the mistake its the manner of the error. Mistaking a Moroccan centre back for a an attacking midfielder who had left the club from the same country. A kind of 'all the look the same those johnny foreigners' type error.
  6. Schumachers is up there as well.
  7. Kachloul didn't even play for us then. Plus he was an attacking midfielder. Other than that an easy mistake to make.
  8. Casual racism there.
  9. Essentially that is a post on here but by someone with a greater sense of self importance they decided to write a blog on their opinion.
  10. Jim Steele used to live round the corner and Danny Wallace used to live 5 minutes walk from my house, I saw him in Mikes chippy at the castle once after a game, he gave me his autograph on a bit of chip paper, I was about 8 at the time.
  11. Bitter, jealous, obsessed messes who can't handle the fact that a bloke who despite being no better than non league level is still infinitely better than then at football got the chance to have an career in the game. Whilst they rest their fat guts uncomfortably behind the lap tops thinking about who they might sign next on Football Manager tommy was living the dream, good on the lad, people are stealing a living in every industry, why should football be any different because bitter helmets who inhabit a mongboard are eaten up with Jealousy about it.
  12. I expect the Bristol Rovers mongboard us in meltdown today that no one mentioned them when taking about Rickies rise to the top.
  13. I'm sure he's bothered.
  14. I think the comparisons are apt, not so much as players but the circumstances. Both were saints stars, with huge clamour from saints fans for international honours, both played against poor opposition. One looked an international player the other didnt. Personally I never rated Beattie either, Strachan got the best out of him but like you say as a player he wasn't much at all. I remember being lamblasted on the old S4e site for daring to day Beattie wasn't international standard when they were indignant he was the best striker to ever play Soccerball.
  15. The thing for me was that he looked like he belonged there. Yes Moldova are a weak side and a big win was expected, but so were Litchenstein when Beattie started for England. That night even against such a poor side as Litchenstein Beattie just didn't look like an England player and didn't look like he belonged at that level, lambert did, his touch and control were excellent and the other players trusted him on the ball, something they didn't seem to do with Beattie. His international career won't be a long one but at least now everyone knows he is international class.
  16. You look like one of the ones that probably should.
  17. Why would you be proud of people wearing a saints shirt to a game saints weren't playing in?
  18. It's an Internet forum for which its sole purpose is opinion, Ibe expressed mine on this subject, the problem with that is?
  19. Excellent work.
  20. I follow international football closely and have won well today, I'm not going to say how much but my interest in the Armenia national side has reaped rewards at the bookies.
  21. Daily fail (pmsl) at it again, only printing this story because he's English, if he was foreign they'd want him deported. Lazy, lying scumbag journos
