Why? What's the difference? Why would one learn more sitting on the bench whilst another will learn more from playing? Wouldn't he be better off going on loan of he's not going to play much?
-
Right So on the one hand we'll slam players at other clubs who join them to sit on the bench rather than playing for a team lower down the table or in a Lower league, yet when it's our own player he'd learn far more from sitting on the bench than playing regularly for a smaller club further down the table.

Man. Moon.

Jokes about bears? I don't get it.

You have a PM I am ITK on this one.

* calls Nick 'this squad is good enough to finish 6th' G to the thread*

I has a similar problem with car, the 4th cylinder had gone and it was effecting the fuel injection, which was affecting the acceleration. Would get to about 60 and go no further. Was about £500 to fix at a diesel specialist. I'm sure you had a seat Leon though Jamie.
-
I doubt that'll happen under Rodgers, he's an excellent manager who won't be spunking money on the likes of Andy Carroll.
-
If he goes they'll have £50m to spend, I'd expect them to invest that well and might actually be better for it.
-
A finished 8th when Lowe was here and we had no investment!
-
Well 3 of them have new managers so in a transition period and Arsenal have been in decline for years. Top 4 is there for the takingIMO

On another note Cortese looks impressive in that picture. Sharp suit, neatly cut hair and expression that says "i mean business" He surely is one of the best dressed and most impressive chairman in the country from that point of view.
-
Go on then.
-
i think this statement, ends all credibility that article might have "The Daily Echo, a trusted Southampton news source, claims Cortese is ready to spend big with a rumoured £100 million pound war chest to help aid this push for the Champions League."

i'm not saying we should get shot of him, yet my point remains valid, Billy Sharp couldn't possibly have had less of an impact that Mayuka and at this moment in time he's done little to show why signed him. None selection by two managers even at times when we were struggling to get goals seem to suggest there is a problem somewhere.
-
is that so? MP was appointed in mid January and in Mayuka got less than an hour of football in 13 games, in the early days not even making the bench (yes i know he was at the ACON for some of it). if you're trying to say that is because Rodriguez, Lambert, and co were undroppable then i think you need to look at the goals for column in our last 6 games, 3 goals in that period with Lambert in particular looking out of form, off the pace and needing a rest. Our attacking play was very slow and one paced, crying out for some pace, something Mayuka is meant to bring to the table, If that didn't suggest we needed to try something different what did? Struggling for goals against the backdrop of a relegation battle yet still he can hardly get a kick, doesn't seem to me like the signs of a player who has much faith in him from the management. As for your other point, i mentioned that he had done nothing to show why we we signed him. if you believe that as a striker Lambert and rodriguez are undroppable and if you are right that he doesn't have the defensive nous to replace Ramirez, Puncheon, Lallana etc then we've effetively signed a player who is third choice striker for a team that only plays with one man up top and who can only play in that one position. In a season he's had one start where he was dreadful and Adkins didn't pick him and MP hasn't picked him. we weren't safe until the 2nd last game and only scored 3 goals in our last 6. with that in mind I dont think his nonappearances are anything to do with all of the other players having been amazing and undroppable all season.
-
he is a limited player but on reflection who would you rather have had this season coming to with 10 minutes to go to get us an equaliser, 'a fox in the box' like Sharp or Mayuka who seems to have only played well for 20 minutes this season. Yes, he's quick and runs around a lot, but so does Mo Farrah, that doesn't make him a premier league striker. people keep saying he didnt get a chance, maybe there is a reason for that as not one, but two managers didn't play him. if it had just been Adkins you could argue that it was because he simply didn't like or rate him, the fact that it wasn't just Adkins speaks volumes. He might well come good but he's done nothing to suggest that he will or to show why we signed him.

Choosing personal interests ahead of playing for his country, I thought these balkan lads were meant to be patrotic? Doesn't seem like the sort of character we want IMO.
-
So quite similar to here then?
-
So were after an injury prone crock then? You'd have thought we'd have learnt from the Pulis deal signing players when injured is not clever.
-
He couldn't have done less than Maukya this season.
-
Only because he'd get knee capped by his scouse gangster mates if he did.
-
Give him a break, he probably did it or a laugh whilst smashed on holiday enjoying himself like a 17 year old should do away with his mates. Which player wouldn't want to join Man United?
-
He's taken the u21s to a final and a semi final and prior to this tournament had a record of 5 losses in 41 and a win ratio over 50% In 6 years as manager. How does that equate to being 'very poor'? Why do tou think adkins would be so Much better? Another case of lambasting the manager without looking at the reality that is so often to case on this forum.

And Baines to united. Far more Likey. United wont sign Shaw to replace Evra.
