  1. It's quite simple Alps. If they player really wants to join then if the problem is his end then he'll sort it, if the problem is something for SFC to sort, then we can sort it if we really want the player. No ones knows what it is, just speculation that the player has been "forgetful".
  2. I'm not blaming Cortese but if the player wants to join and the club want their man then i dont see why this difficulty cant be overcome between them.
  3. *considers change of location*
  4. I would expect a deal where the fee has been agreed between the clubs, the player is practically begging to join and all that remains is a last minute speed bump to overcome to not prove too challenging even for the most inexperienced of chairmen.
  5. It clearly says in the article the player let Vitesse know through his agent that there as a thirs party involved, so it's come from the player.
  6. this comment still cracks me up..... Dave Ford, chairman of the Ted Bates Trust, which commissioned the project and shared the cost with the club, said: "Ian has done a tremendous job. It's very rare I'm lost for words but I saw the statue last week and it's awesome - a tremendous tribute to a great man. "Fans have waited a long time for this and it's fantastic." Yes, Dave, we were lost for words as well.
  7. That is the first time you have ever made me laugh. See you can be quite humourous at times and not a constant miserable, pompous old sod.
  8. I made this point last season when i said we were flat track bullies, great when we are on top, having 65% posession and creating loads of chances but we were often exposed defensively when put under pressure and made a lot of individual errors. We rarely ground out wins with great defensive displays and it ulitmately cost us the title. Of course i was shouted down as being negative but the facts are there to see. Next season there wont be many games where we create 15-20 chances and have 65% posession, it's easy to be a great defender when your team are dominating, not so much when you're under a lot of pressure. We have struggled against the best teams in the division as our results prove. Sadly for us we wont be playing and dominating Watfords, Derbys, Coventry and Doncasters next season. I was shouted down where i dared to suggest Harding wasn't up to it at championship level, but Nige seemed to agree and went out and signed Danny Fox for near on £2m when everyone was saying Left back wasn't a priority. I was called negative when i said Fonte looked out of his depth at times, i was told how great he was and proven at championship level, yet by the end of the season a lot seemed to agree.
  9. damn, i was hoping this was going to be a seating plan thread for the big day.
  10. 'angry' and 'astonished' Holly actually contradicts herself. She says 'why should she have to pay more for A white baby?' in the first line of her statement. So interesting that she wasn't intending to buy a black baby anyway and was annoyed she had to pay more for a white one. Great morning reading though Dune. Funny as f*ck.
  11. Christ, I can't believe people are analysing a laugh when asked at the end of an interview about a transfer. Maybe we should ask Simon Peach if it was a PMSL - I'd love too join them and I am!! How did you guess?!! LMFAO - I'm going to be the best keeper in the world, Why the f*ck would I join Southampton? ROFL - like a MASSIVE club like them would be interested in me, I've only played 21 times in L2 you know LOL - well you never know, *laughs and winks* hopefully I will........ Simon, can you confirm which of the above type of laughs it was so we don't right him off as a c*nt with an attitude that we don't want.
  12. I see hes got Ashley Cole as a defence witness playing the 'I can't be racist, I've got a black friend' card.
  13. Why does written Dutch look like English written by a dyslexic?
  14. Green blocks reds as Davis seeks clearance
  15. It wasn't tapping up though. His club gave him permission to visit us, QPR and Fulham.
  16. /\ when you consider all 3 of the relegated teams made the play offs with arguably weaker teams than they were relegated with in our promotion season and we only Managed 2 wins in 6 games against them it puts into perspective where we are right now. Unfortunatly realistic doesn't seem to be welcome on here and is called nagatife instead.
  17. *copyrites headlines 'saints cue up for row over Davis deal' and 'rangers snooker Davis transfer'*
  18. He was the Jonathan Forte of centre halves.
  19. Rio Ferdiand in his prime was fairly quick. So 3 in the last 10 years, all of them England internationals. I'm afraid those demanding a 'pacey' centre half are going to be in for a disappointment. There aren't many about and those that are will cost a fortune and are already playing for the top clubs.
  20. Considering he was allowed to visit here, QPR and Fulham and described everything here as 'perfect' before a deal was agreed with Vitesse I'd imagine he will have a very good idea of what deal is on on the table. He is due to have a medical this week isn't he?
  21. Are you sure? Despite the clamour to sign 'pacey' players, how many central defenders can anyone name that are known for their pace?
  22. This one isnt, this is for serious football talk only. Remember Krackers, pointless comments incur an infraction point.
  23. And if you want me to supply any of your networking kit feel free to PM me as well.
  24. Sorry, when and for who was Cork a regular in a premier league side?
