No need for Stewards. The Coventry fans will create a human shield to protect themselves from the sea of waving giant foam hands that will greet their every utterance.
-
I am Turkish, i do what i want.
-
I think you'll find this proper chap who does what we wants had done York many times before and wasn't like an excitable 16 year old allowed on his first night out ever. He also didn't fancy spending £40 on a taxi at 3am.
-
We really do have some proper wet lettuce fans FFS.
-
Another bloke ruled by his bird FFS.
-
Not really Saints fans then are they.....
-
And kids take up the same room as an adult so have to pay the same price. If you want to bring a bag into the ground it's another £25. Yep, whoever suggested the Easyjet Pricing structure (i think it was Franks Cousin or one of the other froum bores) is a genius.
-
And introduce the Eayjet type pricing structure that was suggested on here at weekend where people can pay extra for priorty exits, queues, an extra £6 for a pi*s etc..

But not all the 34,000 missing fans will be able to get tickets for Coventry. We must have turned about 20 odd thousand fans for this game if they'll all come out for the glamour games. I bet there arent 20,000 people with disapointed faces pressing their nose up at the sold out ticket office windows. Maybe it's me and i'm missing something. No one is able to explain that despite being constantly told on here that this is the best time to be a Saints fan in a lot of people lives and that we need a bigger stadium, that we've been in the top 2 all season and can take 55,000 to a friendly at Wembley why we have played most of the season in front a 1/3 empty stadium. It doesn't make sense. People seem to be taking it all very personally about what they do, yet this cant be the case for 34,000 fans surely? I mean this is an SMS capacity + set of fans that will only turn up now and again. Can someone help me out?

Steve Wigley and Les Reed in top 20 list of Prem Mgrs
Turkish replied to Topcat's topic in The Saints
I remember it well,. Wigley interviewed by the media at Staplewood whist sitting in his training gear and asked by the media who was running the first team now and his almost apologetic "i am" reply. Joke. -
FC Saints of Southampton is all set to go. We are going to play at Tottons ground and will start off in the Hampshire League when we all get p*ssed off with prices, Sky and get sold to some American goons.
-
For most games this season we could have had a segregation area of 5,000 seats, it wouldn't have made any difference.
-
In league one our average was about 21,000, that is what i would say is our proper fan base that are loyal, loaded or incredilby lucky as you put it. Therefore if the exra 34,000 that went to Wembley all went to an average of 5 games each our attendance should still be around the 30k mark on average. Considering this is such a great time to be a Saints fan i cant for the life of me think why we cant get to this figure and above every week.
-
Lets be honest, if you could pick a team to have to beat in such a game from this league it'd be Coventry. If we dont win it wont be because Coventry have suddenly decided to play brilliantly after 45 games of being sh*t. It'll be because our players cracked, nothing else.
-
Doesn't this highlight how disapointing attendances have been this season though? 17th best supported club in Britain yet only a 2/3's full ground most of this season when it's the greatest time in most of our lives to be a fan.
-
stop being such spineless, bottle job helmets. We are not going to finish anywhere other than second FFS.
-
So loyal fans dont have a life, right?
-
So they are going to see the opposition and not Saints, yes?
-
So what defines a "big game"? Is it who the opposition are? Like the clamour for tickets everytime we play Man United for example?
-
But for other clubs in the country this isn't supposed to be the best time in their life to support Saints. For other clubs in the country aren't banging on about needing a bigger stadium when they cant fill the one they've got regularly. Other clubs in the country they aren't claiming to be on an unstoppable march to the champions league with a team of academy graduates. We aren't any other club in the country. As itchen says there are plenty of reasons why people cant make games, i just wonder why they dont apply when there is a chance of glory and will no doubt disapear next season when we are in the premier league playing Man United and City.
-
It seems you are one of the 30,000+ then.
-
My cats are all season ticket holders and went to middlesborough dressed as dogs to Show how mad they are.
-
It would seem we've got over 30000 that only go to a few games a season. It's very surprising that as this is supposedly such a great time to be a Saints fan and a team full of shouldbe international players more Of these don't bother most of the time.
-
Quite, no way would we have beaten Brighton if we hadn't got that penalty that was miles outside the box.
