Other clubs in the country they aren't claiming to be on an unstoppable march to the champions league with a team of academy graduates. We aren't any other club in the country. As itchen says there are plenty of reasons why people cant make games, i just wonder why they dont apply when there is a chance of glory and will no doubt disapear next season when we are in the premier league playing Man United and City.

Chaplow is a hero despite having only played well in about 15 games in his whole time here. He fits the profile a lot of our fans have of what makes a decent player and that is looking busy and workin hard, regardless of quality of end product.

We had 55,000 at Wembley two years go for what in reality was little More than a glorified friendly. We are regularly told on here we need bigger stadium, this is such an amazing time to be a saints fan, what great football we are playing and half of our squad ahould be in the England team. Unless I'm much mistaken the recession is still on, people are still skint, petrol prices are still high, the game is on telly, there is a still a booking fee, public transport is still crap and people still have birthdays and their birds ordering them about. They are all excuses I've heard as to why people can't make it this season. All of a sudden this doesn't seem to be the case, funny that.

I'm sure the players do. On several occasions this season some of them have looked a bit annoyed at putting in a great performance only to see a half empty stadium at the final whistle. The Middlesoborugh and Birmigham games stick in my mind for this.
