As we discussed last week, i am still coming to terms with being around people without my lap top for protection.

Think i'm doing this one, probably be driving though. Not been to their new ground.

I seem to recall people saying this time last season he wasn't as good as when he first joined. We haven't had a settled back 4 all season, and has had 3 seperate partners in 6 games. I let you experts draw your own conclusions.

Magic Wok is a good takeaway. Pilgrim House for a meal.

Why post on it then? It's quite clear from the OP what it is about. Why do you feel the need to tell everyone that you aren't interested in the thread?

At gatwick waiting for a taxi. Cracking trip, I don't think I'd have coped with a third night.

Quite Jamie. I don't understand what everyone is saying. Hammond is not a leader, offers nothing, he can't tackle, pass and is too slow for this league. His poor first touch will get found out as this level, you Mark my words.

Exactly, anything is possible. DIdn't they say man would never walk on the moon? Plenty of super market cashiers successfully become shelf stackers, i dont see why that cant carry over to soccerball.

It has always been my ambtion to be held in high esteem on an anonymous internet forum. Another dream dies. Sigh......

Sometimes the voice just fits the band and the moment, Joy divison, THe Stone Roses and Oasis are all bands like this.

Or alternatively it might act as a massive spur to him that Adkins rates him so highly he thinks he has the abilty and intellengence to play in such an important postion. I am a fan of Jonno QUick as well, his goal scoring record is phenominal. He is lightening quick, stong and talented. That is why i think he can play there.
-
THe stats say he has a goal for every start, that is a fantastic record. I think he would make the ideal man sweeping up behind Fonte and co at the back. You dont need a football brain to play there, just use that lightening pace to sprint in behind everytime a ball over the top is played and clear it.
-
because we need a new striker, Bridge is quick and strong and has premier league experience. We can use him there.
-
Not really. I'm just putting it out there. It could work could it not. ANYTHING is possible. Dont forget Alan Shearer started out as a goalkeeper and Benali was a striker.

Only one left, make it a good 'un.

If we were still at the Dell, where would be in the leagues?

Why? He got a mortgage, that is all. Dozens of other chairman have done exactly that as well. -
I agree with you there. As far as prescences and charisma goes he is a legend, but his voice kind of suits the image and music. I've got a friend who lives in Lymm where he has a house and she says he is the soundest, most down to earth bloke there is. Really friendly and chatty.

Indeed, it was Liams band, originally called The Rain i believe. Liam is a class front man, love him or hate him everyone knows who he is, got a real charisma about him. oasis wouldn't have been what they were without him.
-
He'd probably get there before the ball though, being that quick. He'd have to learn to time his runs better, but i am sure Nige can teach him.

Dion Dublin was good. Marcus Gayle, played as striker and then moved to centre half, played their for Watford against us in the 2003 FA Cup semi. I think Jonno Quick is the man to fill the slot.
-
What a waste of one of your three posts that was.
-
Just think for one minute how good it would be to have a player as quick as Jonno at the back. Every ball into the channel he'd be able to run across and clear, every time we were going forward he could hang back on the half way line and and sprint across and get the ball or make a quick and decisive tackle to snuff out the move. He'd be an ideal centre back, IMO.
-
What's wrong with you? Some of you are so blind you cant see that talent we have at our disposal. FFS.

Seen a couple of threads about moving players to other positions. THere was one about Harding playing in central midfield a while back which was particularly thought provoking and it struck me today Jonno Quick could make a great centre back. He is incredibly strong according to Nige, which is an important attribute for any defender and although he is not the tallest of strongest in the air, his Jonno Quick lightening pace would enable him to position himself and get tackles in, whipping in before the other teams striker can get a sniff of the ball. He'd be brillaint at mopping up behind Fonte and Harding as he could sprint across and clear the ball when teams play it in behind or up the channels. WIth his pace we'd also never get caught out on the counter attack. I think with his pace, we could potentially have the new Des Walker on our hands. You may laugh but Dion Dubiln made a great centre back, i dont see why Jonno Quick couldn't.

Ian Brown. An absolute legend, but his voice is average at best.
